Is this the future for the rest of ARR's upcoming expansions and updates?

People talking about how 1.0 was better and Yoshi is ruining the game are missing something. I bet 80% of you at least didn't play 1.0 BEFORE Yoshi took over. It was horrible, and he came in and fixed the battle system, gave us some real content, and made the game fun. People are shouting the end is nigh before the FIRST CONTENT PATCH. I used caps there so you guys could find it.

NMs in 1.0 were not perfect but brought variety to the world. The drops werent perfect but tbh not many things in ARR are either. Most gear is redundant when you hit 50. I personally don't play just for the drops though, I like slaying random NMs that are more difficult to kill that your everyday nannygoat.

I think most people are actually referring to 1.0 what it was the last 6 months before it got shut down. He was doing remarkable job with the game.. Not sure why it had to change SO much.

1.0 was so lame, I tried getting back after yoshi took over. Still lame, didn't grab me at all. Creating a new character was a chore and incredibly boring. I didn't even get to try anything past lvl 20 because noone was doing it. Shouting to get help for mission quests was futile. Not worth my time.

If Fates are considered open world content (and they are) there really is no difference in the open world content between 1.0 and 2.0

Chocobo Escorts? No one liked those and there are escort fates if you want to escort something that badly.

Hamlet? Doesn't count

Farming for Tapers? Open world "content" so you could go spam a dungeon? Lol..

NMs? You can find these in fates now, they never dropped anything worth while so we can overlook the fact that Fate "NMs" don't drop anything.

The rest of 1.0 content was all instanced and anyone who thinks otherwise clearly wasn't playing the same game.

Seriously, wtf do you expect coming from an MMO ? Following WoW, FFXI, Rift, SWTOR and GW2, they can't reinvent the wheel god damn it. Like it or bust it.

and also, for crying out loud, GIVE IT TIME ... seriously I don't recall any MMO that was grand right off the bat, they all took a couple patches/expansions to build towards what they envisionned, or poured enough content in to keep the majorities interested.

I have a very good feeling the main reason we get limited open world content is low spec pc's and ps3. Take a look at how they are responding to the odin and behmoth fates and you will see what I mean. There is a huge difference in many player's fps once they go inside a dungeon it improves drastically. I noticed just turning off players names in open world and I get another 25fps which equates to less laggy feeling in Open World for me. Think about it for a minute and then try to picture how those players gaming would be with having to do more open world content. I'm not saying its all ok np but it does explain why they are taking the direction they are.

Jees... why cant they just release final fantasy 11 HD or something......i would totally shell out the cash for that. WTF SE.......wth

Why do people even bother posting stuff like this? Do you seriously expect to come to a public forum and see absolutely no opposing opinions? That would be pretty weird.

I think the drops from NMs in 1.0 was as good as any rewards from dungeons in ARR.

I used my Loyalist Bliaud (drop from Downy Dunstan) before AF was brought to the game (and AF body piece for example was not solo quest).
I used penance on my warrior for the longest of time (dropped from Phaia)
When I was finally able to solo Alux for my Kple Kple staff, I was so proud :D
And there were others....

FATE's now can be seen on map when you enter the zone, where is the fun in that? The whole point of open world NMs is that you can literally run into them.
I also don't think FATE and NMs are the same thing... FATEs are more like "events" that everyone can take part in.
