Because someone has zerged FATEs and CM to get full darklight doesn't make them worthy either. You could have a +1 and still have crap DPS, or worse, not avoid dmg. And we all know a dead dps is worth no DPS.

PS: AA for LB is a bad move and while it may work for some, I prefer to not do it as it just causes the back end of the fight to become much worse.

I look at it as DF is mainly for new players and those who are ok with avg. When you expect to go above and beyond, a general all purpose tool is less useful than a fined tuned group. Much like Titan. Why DF and get stuck with a second tank for no reason, when you could easily fill that spot with another DPS for more efficiency. As it stands, every group I have ever been with never asks the second tank to back up. When MT dies, everyone just jumps off the platform.

I'm with Mcshiggs. Why should the duty finder be reserved for those who just want to "practice" and not those who actually want to progress?

And this is why a minimal ilvl requirement for level 50 dungeons is needed. Just as a level 30 cannot queue a 50 dungeon, an ilvl50 should not be queuing ilvl70 content. If they want to leave a "I don't want life." mode for folks to select and queue with anyone else who has also selected the option that's fine as well. Heck, there's Titan Extreme for you right there.

Speed runs are for over geared people. The duty finder does not care about your gear. Even with the iLvl requirement, you still cannot expect a speed run every time due to the fact they aren't going to ask for full DL for a dungeon that drops sub iLvl 70. By that same regard, people should not be attempting coil in full DL.

Once again, I know where you are coming from, but you are failing to acknowledge the very workings of DF. Even with a gear check, it will not solve any problems and I expect the same qq when 2.1 releases. It tosses whatever is in there into a pt. The new LFG board they are releasing will be better suited for what you are looking for. Hopefully it functions as expected.

Whoah there friend, no one said anything about speed runs. I'm with you there, no one is expecting full DL and Relic+1 in their WP DF queue. I'm saying you shouldn't queue because it will be difficult, I'm saying you shouldn't queue when it will not be possible - such as, using my previous example, when the unavoidable damage equates to more HP than you actually have.

Reread the person you quoted. It's why I mentioned speed runs.

And you are definitely right about the iLvl 40 GC weeps. I think we can all agree that is a fantastical thing. But the issue becomes what is the minimum acceptable gear as opposed to what people want. You should expect the bare minimum in DF (or worse) and be happy when you get better.

Well, the duty finder, selects random people to play that instance with you. If you really want something done in the way you want to do it, make a pre-made party of members that share your goals.

In the DF, I feel if you wanna watch the opening sequence of Wanderer's Palace, then you have that right. You DID buy the game and are paying for a sub. If people complain that you are watching a 10 sec Opening, then those people are very very impatient.

The only problem I have with Duty Finder is people who do not play properly over and over again. :( I'm usually nice but when I wipe 4 times because someone isn't paying attention I tend to get grumpy. But I have noticed I only get aggravating people 1/10 times I do the duty finder, and I do the duty finder a lot xD

Because I play this way it doesn't mean it hinders a group, and it doesn't mean I am not trying to get the fight done. It just means I don't look at guides. No matter if you enter a fight blindly or not, someone who has done it will tell you "watch out for this" or "silence that" If you are going in blind to a new dungeon, a message shows up for other players that you are new and thus they can expect you not to know. They shouldn't demand it, as it is not part of the game that is required. Like speed runs are not required. But as I stated at the end, if you have an agenda you should let people know. I always tell people "I am new to x content is there anything in particular i should look out for"

And actually when I solo, I always greet players and ask if anyone is new and to focus my targets (since I tank)

Like I stated, everyone in duty finder wants to complete the duty. It's not really a practice run, but people do go in with no experience, and you should expect that.

There is no point in minimal ilvl requirement as ilvl 70 Duties can be beaten with ilvl 50 gear. Whats the point of asking for ilvl 70 gear when the dungeon drops ilvl 70 gear. If you do coil it drops ilvl90 gear and most people go in on DL which is ilvl 70, that is 20 levels under. But i guess that isn't ok for titan. Even though coil is much harder.
