its rewarding when u say i did this and i dindt pay a CENT and u learn at the same time besides its easy:x
Gotta agree with that. On my BLM (first time going through relic quest), must've spent 2 weeks trying to get a good titan group, and getting nothing but groups with people dying before heart... I was so defeated by it I started leveling BTN to 50 just to farm things to make money to buy a run. A day later, I saw a group shouting and joined for the hell of it. Not only did we down titan, I stayed alive for the whole thing. That is a feeling people who bought their runs will NEVER get to feel.
getting carried by FC vs. getting carried by bought mercenaries
only difference are the money in mercenary case which means, the ppl getting carried by their FCs are the lazy ones!!
as ppl who bought kill had to make those like 300k !!
Or people are sick of doing it with bads and want to buy competent help, it's not just gill buyers and bads with income that want to get carried some times people are just that desperate. I did titan the hard way but I can see how some one would want to avoid the hardship and just get that guaranteed kill.
This is an excellent argument for gold trading as well. You pay Gold CEO money. He gives you a service (FF14 gold).
The problem is how that service impacts other people aside from the guild selling the run, and the impact on the community as a whole. I would say, based on what I've seen, in general, this impacts the community negatively. Just like gold selling.
There's a difference between helping people and outright selling runs. If you help someone, you're giving them a hand up. Building bridges and in the end, forging a stronger community. Ultimately, they may join your LC/FC, add you to your friend list. You'll continue to interact with them and do other content with them together.
Would you run coil with someone you sold a run to?
That, my friend, is the difference.
It only really impacts the community in a negative way when a person buys a titan run, and proceeds to not give a single fuck and jump off the side like he was blindly instructed to. I have nothing against competent players who KNOW the fight buying it, just not wanting to group with bads. I know that feel...
If it isnt against the rules, people will do it, plain and simple. Mercing out runs for Titan or anything else is not a violation of code of conduct. It does, however, breed very bad players out of it.
The fact that Titan kills ARE being sold, often, shows all of the signs that the fight is not too hard. People just need to play better.
