15 Minute Duty Finder Penalty NOT LONG ENOUGH

I agree with a penalty, but it should be no more than an hour; at very least until vote kick is instated. I know it may be hard to fathom, but occasionally you do join in on a party that is incapable. I have only ever been the first to leave once (the second a few times), but I know there may be a time I have to do it again in the future and i'd hate to lose out on 24 hours because I had a bad PUG. Now, when vote kick is enabled, sure. Because then you'll be able to manage your party.

That said, at level 50 I think it's better to be pulling from your FC instead of the DF. I am only just getting ready for my first 8 man, but it looks like the coordination provided by playing with friends and FC members will make it way more fun.

24 hours would be a little ridiculous. Personally, I think you should get 1 free one per 24 hours and then perhaps a progressive penalty that doubles each time you leave an instance starting with 15 minutes.

I am not elitist at all and I don't go calling people out when their not that great. However, there are dungeons you get into and after 4 or 5 wipes..you just know your not finishing the dungeon with this particular **insert job here**. I don't think it is being elitist to simply not want to waste 60-90 minutes waiting on someone who just isn't getting it.

I had a tank earlier who was having a hard time holding aggro..dude would pull 5-6 mobs..lost 4 of them and then just sit there on his original target hacking away..while the rest of us are getting pounded on. The dragoon switches it up and basically tanks 4 mobs while the healer keeps him alive and I DPS. We finally clear this group up and this guy is still completely clueless as to whats going on and is just pounding away on his original target. Then every time he killed something he would just stand there for like 10-15 seconds..I guess looking around on his camera?? I don't even know. The point is we ended up getting wiped 4-5 times by time we made it to the first boss..we were clearly not finishing that dungeon...another guy had the same idea cause he bailed right before I did. I did not call that guy out or nerd rage on him..we did try and help him through it..he just wasn't getting it.

I do not consider valuing my own time to be elitist...I am not going to sit there for 60-90 minutes so that someone who is struggling with their role can feel better about themselves. I will add that I am all about helping where I can..but some people literally do not pay attention at all...you can't help them when their like that.

My guess would be anyone complaining about people bailling all the time are people who are probably a big part of the reason why the groups are failing..just saying.

Don't get me wrong there are some elitist dorks out there..but some people are just regular joe's who have better things to do than fighting a losing battle.

OP I'd never leave you dungeons, I'd just afk and play something else on my second screen.

What seems to be missing is the vote kick option , just failed a dungeon because last boss DPS dies 4 times , gets rez 4 times and healer goes OOM and tank ( me ) dies no heals .

Tried again 2 more times , same thing , last time healer dies in AOE , I quit group with 12 mins to go , I wasted a lot of time on that dungeon people going AFK a lot during the run . DPS going ninja AFK making dungeon take longer than normal, BLM not sleeping when the idiot DPS pulling another group of mobs , survived that don't know how, paladin CC shield stunning mobs ftw I guess . Basically I should've quit after this first screw up and saved myself 50 minutes .

What else they need is a skill score or a record on players showing how many times they have died in AOE , how many times they have successfully killed boss X etc etc so there is no surprizes , .. this wont happen of course because people would be leaving dungeons before they even start lol .

Yet you can't get a weapon better than a level 44 weapon without running AK to get one, see the problem? They (SE) would not have made the dungeon the way it is if it was unfinishable with gear you should have at that point. You have to run AK once or twice to complete the Relic weapon and the GC quest, so the dungeon is obviously completeable without a full party of relic weapon wielders.

The Hard Mode Primals on the other hand, you probably should have every possible gear by that point.

Ifrit weapon or the crafted weapon needed for your relic are both options for new players.

Not when people are abandoning Hard Primals for the reason this thread exists. If you're a DPS you are perpetually screwed when it comes to getting rare gear because you already had to wait 30-90 minutes to DF, or all the elitist snobs on your server are going "LF (primal) Hard, SR, iLVL70, Must be experienced"

And on Excalibur nobody can afford the crafted item twice. As you've already read "oh noe, grey gear, must be noobkickem"

You have three options.

1. Buy a lv 55 weapon for less than 10000 gil and it's already High quality. Dirt cheap
2. Fight Ifrit to get your weapon.
3. Gear yourself in WP.

You are REQUIRED to get a lv 50+ weapon and at least 3 lv 50+ armor before getting into AK. I don't know how many times I have to say, Run CM or WP until you have at least 3 pieces of lv 50+ armor and a lv 50+ weapon before getting into AK. AK drop lv 60 armor so you are REQURED to gear yourself to lv 50+.

If someone is buying two crafted weapons then I'm assuming they already got their first relic and therefore can buy a grand company weapon for their second class. I got nearly all darklight gear mixed with AK gear and a Sarnga on my bard by myself because I put in the effort to be successful instead of crying to other players.
