You must be new to online SE games. They have banned more players than most games have total in their playerbase. SE does not hesitate and often permabans on first offenses. They aren't going to be spying on your games watching for you to exploit. However, if someone reports you and they can find proof, you're getting the ban hammer for sure.

Though I still haven't heard of any actions being taken against all of the raids that exploit-killed Twintania.

Huh? What's the point.

I'm a healer, I rarely heal against the first boss of AK because he's that dang easy. I put on cleric stance, toss a few fairy heals and just DoT/Ruin II/Energy Drain the crap out of the boss.

Even killing the add brings him down prior to the 2nd catastrophe. If someone is seriously asking you to do this for a speed run, remind him/her that there are speed run groups out there that finish AK completely legit in 25 minutes. No deaths. Only skipping mobs by not not aggro'ing them.

It's plainly stated in the ToS and has been stated by dev's multiple times, anything that causes abnormal mob behavior or causes them to stop functioning all together is an exploit and violates the ToS. Hence the reason I expect to see FC's banned for exploiting Twintania.

Anytime I see healers asking or preferring to use the tree in Ak I tell them to get down or just wipe. Not going to be banned because someone else wants to easy mode an already extremely easy fight

Was there any proof of an exploit? If there was you can report them. You don't even have to be on the same world as them. Reporting after the fact in regards to someone using an exploit is pretty difficult to prove.

In the AK tree scenario, or any group in which members ask you to use a known exploit, refuse on the grounds that it is an exploit, and if they insist, report them. They will get banned.

The tree thing can take just as much time as fighting the boss normally. Calling it a game breaking exploit is a bit extreme. I get sick of watching people trying to jump into the branch for 10 minutes.

Some of the groups in question have openly admitted to exploit-killing Twintania and then reported themselves and the exploit only after making use of the exploit.

Exactly. The time it takes to jump up the tree equates to about the same time it takes to burn down the adds. I mean if you are undergeared for AK this is probably helpful but being geared with adequate weapons, the first boss can be burned down quite easily. I honestly think SE has way more to cater to than a simple "bug" for -one- boss in -one- dungeon.

It may not exactly be game breaking, but the fact remains that this is an exploit and should by all means be treated like one. Lets say your healer is a movement gimp and can't actually get out of void zones, then this bug allows a group to still complete this encounter with said healer. Or lets say your DPS is as bad as not being able to take care of the golems in a timely manner, so the group either gets overwhelmed or the DPS just doesn't have any time to DPS the boss inbetween the add phases ... well the exploit helps this case as well, as you don't have to take care of the golems anymore.
