Again: how many hours a day are you playing? You stopped playing a few weeks ago and you were already at 50?

For reference: I'm only level 42, and for the last 5 levels it's been: do all the available sidequests, which takes maybe two hours to fill NO MORE THAN HALF A LEVEL, then grind dungeons/leves/FATEs, which may take more than 2 hours, quite a bit more I'd say.

From about 34 and onward it starts to slow down. But ya know, that's just me and how I feel.

It's about how many hours you put into it not days.

You can say "I got 50 in 1 week". That's 168 hours. ( that 1 week thing seems to be for hardcores more than casuals to be quite honest)

If a casual plays 2-3 hours a day. That equals out to 56 days ( if you divide the whole thing by 3), 56 days is nearly 2 months for 1 class to 50 as a Casual.

Yeah, it's also how the game was designed. It's not like Most MMO where you have 1 class and that's all you have. This game in the armory system perspective, needs the use of other classes actions to make things easier per say. For Jobs, You have the base classes skills + the class that's accompanied with it skills.

So if you really want to get technical and get the "full" use of your "1" Job, you really need to get your accompanied class to 34 ( as it seems the last thing you can take from any class cuts off at 34) as well to get the full experience of that 1 Job.

Just curious for your lvl 49 to 50 what was involved to get there? dungeons, fates or plain quests?

I sympathize with them that the endgame is boring and is an annoying grind. Grind CAN be made fun, ya know.

This is all on a brand new Character ( Moonlight Star). I do have all 50's on a Legacy Character, but I decided it's a new game, so in turn I made a brand new character.

I just hit 50 a few days ago. Have yet to do any end game stuff, am about to finish main quest. I did very little fate grinding. I also save a decent amount of side quests for when I level other classes. I got my fishing to 42. I feel I have to much to do. I want to play endgame. I want to finish fishing and move on to another gathering class and also some crafting.

If you are only interested in end game I don't know what you expected. You knew exactly what was going to be there on launch and when new content is expected. You may be better off just subscribing for one month at a time every time new content comes out. Then you can rush through that in 2 weeks and you'll only have one week where you can be on here complaining about no end game content.

Wait, what? I wasn't already 50 a few weeks ago. I said that a few weeks ago I stopped leveling at 15. I recently hit 50, like last week I think. How many hours a day was I playing? Hmm, I didn't play every day, but my play schedule was about like this
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday - 7:00pm - 10:30pm. Saturday and Sunday, about 6 hours each. So, about 22 hours a week. That was still working, school, going out friday night, and tv shows. What did I do during that time playing? I leveled my GLD. I explored all the zones fully, completed all of my hunting log, did all the dungeons multiple times(except Aurum Vale), did some gathering on my miner, did some crafting on BSM. Watched all the cutscenes, read all the dialogue to all the side quests. Hit 50 in no time. If you play one class, you level to 50 extremely fast. There's nothing wrong with that. It's not rushing. It's just playing the game.

I really don't know how you're taking that long to level in the 40s. 12 leves (at about 3 minutes a piece) gave me half a level at 46. If there was a FATE in the vicinity, I would stop and do it. But I mean ONLY if it was REALLY close to where my leves were.

Playing one main job doesn't make you a content locust.

Leveling to max level in the first week of release, having an ifrit or garuda weapon then complaining there is no endgame...that's a content locust.

Goodness gracious, do people not read anymore? This thread is about fanboys telling people to stop rushing to the endgame. That's what this is about. Does the game have a lack of endgame content? Yeah, absolutely, a lot of MMOs do at launch. Is 2.1 going to address this? Yes, of course it is. Am I waiting until 2.1 to continue playing? You bet your arse I am.

But am I going to pretend that people are rushing to endgame a month after the games release and complaining there is no endgame is not a valid point? The point is, leveling was TOO fast. Main job, alt job. It's all extremely fast. They have every right to be upset. Just because player A decides to level his main job to 50, doesn't mean he is a rusher. Just because player B decided he would level each job to level 10, then 20, then 30 before proceeding, doesn't mean he is doing it the RIGHT way. Everyone has various playstyles. Some rush(the ones who were max level a week into release on non-legacy servers, and believe me, there were plenty), some take it slower(like those who want to level their main job and save the other jobs for later down the road), and those who stop and smell every piece of grass that sways in the wind. None of those ways is wrong, but the complaint is LEGITIMATE for the second and third player that not having a good endgame is detrimental.

...so without doing the 100k FATE that pops every HOUR and fates that pop sporadically, you were able to make 6,000 XP per minute? (550000 ish xp to get from 49-50 divided by 90 minutes).

...otherwise, stop exaggerating just to make a point for your useless rant. I've been playing since Early Access and I got my FIRST CLASS to level 50 this past Saturday. I play every day for at least 3-4 hours. Getting to 50 CAN be fast, but you still have to be pretty vested/focused to get there in the amount of time you're claiming.
