nope wasnt trolling
was going off the pure fact that there was no room on any server all weekend, thus they DID NOT update it at all this weekend
granted, its now sunday night(monday morning there) and it has now finaly been updated
so take that as you will, just because they say they will update it daily doesnt automaticaly mean every day, it means every day they are actualy working

maybe they should just get rid of the optional free transfers all together. they can do server a and merge it with server b and nobody goes anywhere. after the merge goes live then open up paid transfers and charge 20 for people to change servers per character.

To be fair I only meant that you were content with the current merge system. I would never assume that you have always been content with this game, as that would be a pretty hardcore assumption to make about anyone that has played this for more than 5 minutes. WHat I HAVE noticed over the course of the 4 days since the merger started though is that those of us that post how unhappy we are about being unable to transfer due to closed servers, the vast majority of people that respond by saying "shutup and deal with it" are all people that arent trying to transfer somewhere.

did you notice? if you haven't checked the servers are all open atm besides aegis and excalubur. excalibur stayed up little over an hour and aegis just closed a few minutes ago. if you still are wanting to move catch em while you can.

and no worries man no hard feelings. i can understand how annoying it can be. my server has been completely dead since before moogle even hit and we had issues getting enough to even fight it more than a few times a week. i'm more of i've been on such a lonely server as long as my server gets moved as a group to play with other people i was happy.

I see the SE sycophants are out in force...

and balmung added to the list now. it just got closed :P. hope those that wanted enter it manage get it in time

Just wanted to take the time to thank you both, were it not for these two posts, I would not have checked the forums again last night and gotten moved to the server I wanted. I have managed to get some friends moved as well and hopefully it will open up again later this week to do so for the rest of my ls mates. I had literally checked 5 times yestarday and given up when I saw these posts.

remember now that the devs are back to work, being it's jp weekdays, now they will likely start manually updating around midnight eastern time(+/- a few hours) and throughout their work day. that would be the most likely time to check is because that's the time they will be working.

best of luck getting the rest of your friends moved where they need to go and congrats for making it.

real issue is no staging area to transfer too, say your on a full server, and want to transfer to a full server, there isn't a spot where people can stage idly and wait for others to do the same thing, so you can move to where you want too, for an example we will use this here, create a world that will not be live and usable for game play, then have everyone that still has not changed to a server they want too, use that spot to free open slots, then the congestion issue would be cleared up, a lot of players just can't leave their full server to open areas up, unless they want to use Ragnarok as this staging type area, but I believe the reason people aren't using this last server option is they are afraid they wont be able to move from there once its chosen. Waiting for updated servers to free up is just a mega hassle, and SE should of had a better program to make a sever change easier, instead of making people spend more time on trying to make sure their with their friends who have already made their change. Core group of my LS have made the change already, but the few that have real lives and can not devote hours upon hours to camping Lodestone for a slot to free up still are wondering if they will be able to move with us or not.

I am having a real issue finding a good time when the server I want is free, are lots still having this problem?
