it could... if we had guaranteed a crit, otherwise it aint hit for more what a bootshine crit(whit ridle of fire i did a 12K direct crit at lvl 69, but no crit tk hits for around 5-6K)

I used to be a Monk main in Heavensward but switched to Sam since I found the nerfs crazy and the new skills underwhelming. I mean I wouldn't mind the potency nerfs if we had a way to use Tornado Kick in our rotation (I just love the animation) How is monk though? I'm thinking of maybe picking it up again. Tackle Mastery just seem unnecessary just saying.
Still can't deal with it.
Maybe instead of being so gear dependent on crit, I would like to see deep meditation changed to give a stack of chakra if GL is already at 3 stacks... So every rotation if you maintain GL3 you are rewarded with a chakra stack

It seems they tried to make fist of fire less mandatory with tackle mastery and riddle of earth. Still, I don't see any reason to change stance unless "situation".

To me monk 4.0 is monk 3.0 nerfed, -touch of death, +brotherhood, and Riddle of Fire instead of BfB. BfB > RoF cause of the slowdown RoF causes.
RIP Tornado Kick. Still very useful on solo stuff though, but that hardly matters.
And the RNG chakra thing just annoys me. It's cool to fill it without having to press buttons, but why make it RNG? Basically everything(ish) that involves action/skills + RNG annoys me.
I'm guessing skill speed will be a thing for monks now 'cause of RoF.
I've jumped ship to sam for the moment, mostly because it feels like, you know, a complete class with a complete rotation, and not an rng-dependent, significantly underpowered mess.
Also tackle mastery is still garbage.
They've basically gutted mnk and I'm still mad about it.
