Pot, kettle, kettle, pot. Let's keep it classy~
That's the part where you're wrong. The RNG of the weapon means that, on average, if will far more time consuming than Creator or Anima. That's one thing I'm trying to explain pages ago.
You don't like that there's a better weapon than your Anima, whatever the weapon is ? Fine, that's your choice, and I respect that.
But the explanation that it's because it requires less dedication is wrong.
What is the benefit to it then? All it does is provide a carrot on a stick to get people into diadem. The weapon has angered the community, and has gone against the entire predictable reward structure that we have had thus far, so if the weapon is both time consuming (this is the wrong terminology bte because it is an RNG lottery, which is different) and designed to "catch people up" at the end of an expansion, how does this work? What is the benefit of the reward system being designed the way it is?
The first benefit is for raiders and anima holders that are bored of having nothing to do. The second benefit is for non-raiders. I think a lot of people have the potential to clear Creator Savage, but are frightened by it. A stroke of luck in Diadem might push an insecure player to go into raiding with his newfound uber-weapon.
Like I said, I've no issue with people being pissed at the new weapon. There are just some explanations that feel wrong. And RNG lottery is time consuming, on average, because you'll probably spend a lot of real playtime in Diadem before you obtain your first usable weapon.
The reason why I like it is that you shouldn't have all the best rewards neither into a single content, because it makes all other content short-lived, nor asking for only one type of dedication, because it rewards only one kind of players.
I don't care if you have ten animas or whatever... your reasons for grinding those were different. Please stop thinking we have no right to talk.
Wouldn't it be better if it was 275 then and had a higher drop rate? That seems like it would help people that need a better weapon than having to deal with an afkfest and then a fight that is so poorly designed that 1 person can potentially screw everyone else over because they felt like it or by accident.
It would be different. Being better or worse is subjective and all depends on the devs goals. If the devs wanted a hook, even if a longshot, for anyone that was already fully Alex Savage geared, then only way to bring them over would had been something better than what they have that is not acquirable in any other way.
The AFK fest has more to do with the current setup and how all the pink 260 gear is awarded. People go in, stick around through the main mission, get their reward (they don't even have to do anything to get it so long as enough people do their thing) and leave with maybe a new i260 piece of armor. A fix to the AFK would be if, like fates, every member of the raid was ranked, and only rewarded if they actually participated on the mission.Quote:

Your message told me, you principal goal is to have the best gears.
But it's not the case of everyone.
Challenge and discovery is what come first for me.
Gears is far behind.
In fact, if all content could be sync, I will be even happier.
For the release of Alexander Creator Savage, when my static had crafted items on them, I prefered to stay with Midas and other 240 gears.
They were around ilvl 250-255 when we cleared it. I was at 242.
Otherwise, it has been already one week we have the Diadem, and to be honest, I have more (intentionally) grind this weapon ilvl 280 than the relic (all steps).
It's not. And before I say anything else, let me clarify, I never said I don't like that there's a better weapon than my Anima. I don't even like relics, despite having one, so no, don't put words in my mouth.
That aside, I made the point previously that there were people that got one on the first day; that negates the time argument. You can be dead most of the fight and still be that lucky winner; that negates the effort argument. And let's face it, the Diadem hardly takes the same amounts of skill that perhaps raiding would. So there goes skill.
Oh, as far as dedication goes, I'd like you to please try to debate that with a raiding group that perhaps worked really hard to clear A12S and get their weapons the day before this was added, or people who spent this entire expansion working on a relic only to have it so easily overstepped by a low-chance, high end reward. See how well that's received.
If that's what you interpreted from what I said, you've really misunderstood it then. And please don't give me the "I do it for the challenge" bit. I actively PvP, knowing I get nothing from it remotely useful in any aspect of the game, even PvP itself, and I do it for love of doing it. And as far as challenge goes. . . I think it goes without saying facing other players over scripted programs is more of a challenge.
