You do realize that there are TOTALLY new players around ? yes ? that never played it, that are just geared for Ex Primals and so is perfectly NORMAL to ask infos, help tips, guidance from the veterans and more so from Mentors, designated to actually help newbies. Is normal they ask, they never been there. Your comments is hugely ignorant (as in ignorant). You cant know a job before you actualy factually do it, and to do it, you need to be explained, I dont think you are born with instant knowledge and perfection in everything including that which you dont know ? why shoudl the rest be different ? Expectation of a Mentor that uses MEntor roulette is this of explaining to whoever is knew what there is to do and how....that is what they undertook when they became MEntors. most people who know that Ex trials are no easy task - and that there's the much easier unsynced alternative - won't even bother looking at the DF when it comes to Ex trials.

Most fights you can also quickly explain in about 3-5 lines of text. How is that wiping their asses? Like why be a Mentor at all if your minimal effort is ...well ZERO since you just leave immediately if you happen upon something harder than Ifrit story mode and people are not 100% prepared.Quote:

The recent replies to this thread is what terrifies me about hitting 60. I can (and do) spend what feels like hours watching videos and reading guides before tackling a new dungeon and trial, but I'm still going to need a quick run down before it begins. And as a healer, most guides are from a tanks perspective, and I have to rely on my knowledge of my skillset more so than a video.
I don't want to be that person who has mentors drop me because I ask for a quick run down prior to beginning. I don't want to feel like I'm hindering the party because I'm a hands-on learner rather than one who can just retain the five minutes worth of video I just watched on repeat for the twentieth time.
I know this community has more kindhearted players than bad. But it's far from comforting to know that simply because I'm new and learning, I'm not worth wasting time on. -

Astro with i230 relic weapon on 60 dungeon roulette (aetherochemical research whatever sp, so prolly spamming that for next step).
The astro used 2 balance cards in all dungeon (first boss and second boss, on the bard always, I was on smn).
On the way to 3rd boss he had balance card held for like already 5 min and I tell that he's holding that card like it's the ring of power, his reply is that getting a balance is really hard...
Ofc we do 3rd boss, and he never used that card (maybe is holding it for the next extreme primal he does next year or something), he also never popped cleric stance to dps at least, if you're not gona keep popping cards at least dps, but ofc no, that's asking too much.
Don't know why this astro really made angry, maybe bc it was the first class I leveled in HW and I thought it was gona be my main, then I realized it was way gimped compared to SCH and WHM back then, but NOW? with all the buffs the class got? seeing people playing the class this bad makes enrage for real, no wonder other people still thinks astro suxs seeing people play the class terrible.
