Oh I'm so sorry SulwynCaliope and Toddx77. Healing Hard Mode Primals is the worst. If a DPS or even a Tank dies then you do an insta-rez, but if a healer dies then usually everyone dies and it's "ALL THE HEALORZ FAULT".

If I had 10,000 gil for everytime a DPS died and blamed me, my FC could buy several houses on a legacy server....

Omg! This weekend I was in Ultima Bane with this group composed of 2 pld, 2whm (one of them is me), 2 smn, 2 blm. The other whm and I were healing like crazy, and I think we did well, out of mp alot because ppl kept on dying, eating laser, cannot dodge attacks...etc. At some point, I think we are out of mp and our healing is limited.
smn: Healer got to keep up heals
me: its not a healing problem
smn: I died because I was not getting heal
me: you died because of stupidity
smn: I am waiting for you to explain what the stupidity is
me: did not dodge avoidable aoes, taking unnecessary damage
smn: I can't believe you are still wearing greens
I was like omg, is she referring to my hq vanya hat (penta melded), hq vanya robe (penta melded) and my stratego ring (guess that is kinda horrible).....
This smn is such a nub!!! I was surprise someone can be so dumb....
I know how to heal Ultima Bane....farm it with a good group several times on sunday...ppl just need to know how to dodge!

Tank was undergeared, new to the instance. pulling by AA +flash. here I am in DL/zenith, trying not to pull hate (C1s and the eventual regen). DPS was good, BLM and DRG, so we made it through to the final boss with just a wipe on the 1st dragon (the one with the gobbie bomber).
Final boss was... MAYHEM!
1st try: tank pulls sword oath, and stands right in front eating everything coming his way. down in 3 shots. insta raise - he walks into a poison pull while the drg was kiting about.we wipe and explain the fight to him
2nd try: he pulls the dragon and starts running in circles so the beast is literally spinning on himself, with the poor DRG in tow trying to WS. Tank stops when? In a green pool when red goes off. Raise once. Dies again with boss going wild. BLM manages to pull off a LB and get eaten alive. Mana/megaether down, CD gone, dragon is finished off by dots while the DRG kites around with like 30 HP.
I commended them for that :)

On a higher level note, every time people are not committed to what they're doing it can potentially become a nightmare. Some fights are taxing on MP, per se, WHMs have a lot to keep a keen eye on. Why making it harder on the whole group by not paying attention? I'm not talking about 'watching video guides to be ready' i do not believe a video guide will make you proficient, you need to live the fight and yes, potentially die through it to master it later. it's all good to me
But try to play at the best of your ability. Be there. Be ready. Have items in case sh*t hits the Tornadoes :D
don't just assume you'll be ok cause the tank will hold hate and the healers will keep you up while you zone out. I would never allow myself to waste people's time like that

This just happened recently. I am leveling CNJ for crossclass abilities and am at lvl29 with mostly green Haukke equipment, ie not under geared for my level. I go into Haukke via DF and I end up with a GLD, DRG and THM. Immediately the tank and goon run ahead and start pulling mobs. I catch up and start helping out. After a few pulls I noticed the tank wasn't marking targets so I politely asked them to please mark. They then starting marking but the tank and goon don't seem to be following the marks at all so both of them are getting attacked and so I keep having to keep them both up. Then on top of that they kept hitting the mobs the THM was marking and sleeping. So they continue running ahead and doing sloppy pulls and being all over the place when fighting and not keeping AoE agro, forcing me to have to run in and spam medica to keep the tank and goon alive. We end up wiping a few times due to the tank and goon just running ahead and being sloppy but I chalk it up to them maybe not knowing the dungeon or being new. We get to the hall with the two maiden pats and he tank just rushes in and engages the first group and instead of bringing them back he just fights them in the middle of the hall, all the while the pats are moving closer. I even said that the pats were coming and nothing. So the maidens agro and the tank doesnt grab them so they both gang up on me and quickly drop me which results in a wipe since there were like 6 mobs engaged and a dead healer. So after the wipe the tank says that I should be using Cure 2. I tell him that I'm lvl29 and don't have it yet to which he responds well we need more healing and that is why we died. I let him know that I am spamming heals but that I can't keep up healing two people and that the reason we died was because of the pats. I then ask the tank and goon to please be more careful and not just run ahead and agro multiple groups. The goon then pretty much tells me to just shut up and heal. At this point I know this group is going to be a nightmare so I tell them I'm leaving. Immediately the goon tells me to go f**k myself and calls me a c**k sucker and continues to spew forth a deluge of obscenities before I just leave.

And that is my healing horror story.

I have only had a few tanks that will use flash sadly...

But the one that takes the cake happened today. In longstop, our tank had less hp than the drg. Yep, the dd has more hp. Ok, could be the dd is using hq gear or something to get a bunch of vit, might be a bad dd or something. Nope, check the tanks gear, has nothing over level 20 (not ilevel, regular level), all NQ. Now I'm thinking "this won't end well". Sure enough, he doesn't flash (and yes he was pld), I end up tanking all but his first mob, but we are progressing fine so I don't mind it too much. Then the first boss happens. He loses half his hp per auto attack, and doesn't do anything to the adds. We wipe faster than you can say "poison", and I comment on his gear choices. His reply: "I main dd and I don't craft, so of course my armor is bad. Why don't you @#%@ing heal better!" I left right then and there.

I'm so lucky I haven't had an experience like this yet. >< I generally run lowbie dungeons with friends now so it's not as likely to happen anymore. Did you report them for harassment? I would do so because what they said to you at the end was completely uncalled for.

In AK, group was pretty bad, but the tank was especially bad.

We get to Wall, EVERY time the bees would spawn...they would go to me and stay on me the entire time until we eventually wiped...because I couldnt avoid paralyze, while healing/esunaing, with bees on me, and people standing in shadow...

After 2 attempts I bring it up in Party Chat, the following attempt same thing happens, and the tank says "I Flash til out of mana they still on you"

He did not single target either bee at all, he sat on Wall the ENTIRE time, and waited at least 5sec to start Flashes, so the vicious cycle of, bees on me = more healing by me = more aggro for me (yes I Shrouded)

Now after 3 attempts of this (6 attempts total) I ask "Why cant you single target aggro the bees at all instead of Flash spam?"

The tank replies "Because we BURN boss! I burn the boss! Why we have to listen to you anyways?!"

I felt that was him giving me my queue to leave...so I did.
