I wonder... dd he say what players responded with would depend on what he decided to do? Just wondering...

I wouldn't get to caught up on this thread now mostly trolls to keep it alive when SE got plenty of responses notice it the same people over and over again there just baiting people now, but I'm sure they will response and my response will not posting back to them lol.
What are either of you doing here then?
oh wait.... trolling.
I wouldhope that one thing that could be availbile for people who are married to have a new ability. Like having a couple together in a party gives them a slightly larger boost similar to Comradery.
Also a "Reckless Abandon" ability where if one of the spouses falls, you could use the buff increase all you damage dealing abilities by 20 to 30%, but take more damage as well.
From the translation thread:
Quote:
Marriage System
- For bonuses for getting married, they are only thinking of simple things like using the wedding ring to teleport to your partner. No bonuses in battle, else it will just lead to fake marriages
- To be able to marry, you will have to clear a quest with your partner
You would have people getting married just for the battle boosts then. Being able to teleport to your partner is good enough, and I am glad it will be a quest. Hopefully it is will be fun, and they just forget about making it check if you and your 'partner' are opposite genders. :)
Excuse me, trolls? Most still posting in favor are not doing so just to rile up some community hornet's nest or to get a reaction. At least for me, I'm posting because I legitimately care about this subject. I don't really see how it can be trolling when a vast majority of the thread is in favor.
Also thanks for continually posting in this thread, bumping it with each post.
People need to start raging more about invites... forget this for now... RAGE!!!!!!!
I hope, if it's possible, people will let me wed them and not a GM :3
I haven't read through this thread in a while, but I notice it's still keeping active.
I just wanted to throw in that Yoshi-P mentioned something about the wedding rings being obtained with a quest. Perhaps the whole marriage concept will be quested? If this is the case, maybe it really won't matter whether you're marrying someone of the same sex or not.
I support it; even though I am straight, I have a lot gay friends that would love it.
I don't really see it as a wise move, you do not see it happening in many other titles besides what? the sims? I know they want different things to make this game special, but adding that would get it so many bad reviews from upset parents.. this is why you don't see it in other games
With my trusty tonberry partner, letting me stand on his shoulders: /highfive!
I too believe that simply not caring about and putting it out there in an equal fashion is the best plan of action. Just have it work for 2 characters to marry. Don't care about the rest.
That would be awesome. It gets put into the game, it works regardless of gender and not even one official statement about it. Because it honestly should not be a huge issue at all. Love is never wrong.
It's too late for that. Yoshi has already commented.. saying that this is a sensitive issue and the plan is to not include same sex marriage at launch but to wait for feedback in the future.
I say let them marry.. In real life and in the game.. I don't think anyones will should be forced on others when nothing violent is going on and no one is getting hurt in any way. In fact I would consider not allowing people to marry who they choose, is a hurtful and mean thing to do.
"it honestly should not be a huge issue at all. Love is never wrong."
What if in the future, there was a small but growing number of people openly attracted to animals, who were demanding their rights to marry in Final Fantasy 31? What if society eventually got used to hearing about people like this, to the point where some were actually saying "this should not be an issue, it's the year 2080, it's not that big of a deal". The idea of being attracted to the same gender was definitely not something openly talked about in the past, it was totally taboo. Do you think my scenario is ever going to happen? If not, what would people 50 years ago have told you if asked the same thing about gay marriage in the year 2012? They'd think it's ridiculous, just how you probably think what I'm saying is ridiculous. Heh.
Here's a new question for you guys. Should there be laws against bestiality and marriage between a human and animal? The person would have to demonstrate that the animal in question enjoys having sex with its human partner before they consider allowing them to marry of course.. otherwise that would be rape.
I'm high.
It'll only be ruined if I get responses which I'm not anticipating, other than replies along the lines of what you just said. hehe
And by the way it's not non-sense to people in love with animals. Okay okay I'll stop now ;3
Edit: Your reaction is actually somewhat interesting because that type of response ("that's nonsense, not worth talking about") is typical of what someone in the past might have said if asked their opinion of gay marriage. They would just dismiss the idea immediately and get to "more important matters". But the importance of a topic is subjective! Could bestiality be a slightly more accepted issue in the future? All that's required is for a larger number of people to be open about it. We know it happens today, but no one talks about it.. at least not in the industrialized societies. Did you know that the tradition of a portion of Columbia is for the men to have sex with a donkey? Look it up I'm serious.
I'm going back to raping my rabbit.

You are high if you think this tired old excuse wasn't trotted out less than 100 times before. Its not insightful, its willful ignorance of actual relationships and the law.
Animals and Pets cannot give legal consent. They do not have the cognitive abilities to understand the relationship and what they are entering into. And that is not even going into the sex, which depending on the animal, can kill it or you in your attempts.
It is no more legal than attempting to marry a 2 year old, and just as harmful.
What about mentally handicapped people? If they seem to enjoy their time sexually with someone, should they not be allowed to marry because you think they don't understand the relationship?
So what if the dog wags its tail when the guy drops his pants? That would be a good indication that it wants whats coming. If it stays there and gets humped without runnning away, its giving consent.
But voting takes intelligence, a very small amount but more than what a horse can manage. Marriage is about love... Or government benefits. :3
"Why do people always bring nonsense like this into these arguments"
Really? This type of discussion is typical? That's scary.
Speaking as a former dog owner, You are full of it. Note I said cognitive abilities. There is no dog that has the cognitive abilities of an 18 year old human. And even barring the fact that wagging tails do not imply understanding,;or approval of your intentions, inadvertently implying that rape doesn't exist if the victim cannot run away is just sick.
Getting back on subject, I wonder if Bayohne and co. brought up this poll and its solutions with the dev team and Yoshi P? Not to compare or anything, but they seemed to respond rather quick to the "tour of the office" idea.
What about dolpins. . . . .
JK i wont get into that convo :)
I think they have a leash of freedom given by SE and commenting "Great topic I'll bring this up to Yoshi" might be construed as SE making an opinion as a whole - one which SE has not given the reps position to make.
But asking for the tour of the office is extremely benign, besides I bet they think the office is awesome themselves and want to show everyone :P. Though I would love to see a "Rep has read this thread up to X post" kind of thing. Always wonder if an un-commented thread has been "noticed" or not.
