That's honestly one of the reasons I want this QTE changed, beyond the fact that it causes me pain. No one can agree on how to do it and what works for one person doesn't work for others. It just feels very janky at this point?

I don't know why it works like this, but it is very strange. You see, despite the problems with my left hand, being a clicker, I did a good job with complex content, for example, in SWTOR. Even though I needed to click on objects during combat and move very quickly.
When your best argument is parroting "It's challenging but oh no it isn't" and now several of you are going full force with the insults, I don't really need to give any arguments in defense of it. You're doing a great job of shooting yourselves in the foot.
A clear example of what I was saying before: most of you are just arguing with emotions, and not with actual arguments.
You seem to see yourself as a rational fellow, and yet you're ignoring all the arguments I gave you. You just keep pointing out to one thing and go "you're not logical". That's very rational.
As for emotions... It saddens me to no end that you're not open to debate or willing to see behind that one straw you think you got me for. We're clearly speaking different languages here (the fact English isn't my native language probably not helping either). I was hoping for a discussion about why people like QTE, as I clearly demonstrated why I don't like it personally. All I got is "no u" points. Yes, it's sad.
The purpose for which he writes here is not at all to discuss the problem, but to incite the fight and discredit the part of the community that is asking for changes. Therefore, do not expect any rational answer, it will not be, because it is not profitable for him to give it.
I will say I am still with those, personally, who say only the person who fails should die. The wipe mech is stupidly ridiculous, if you succeed, you should clear the mech. You should not get punished for someone else's failure, nor should someone else get punished for yours.
I've seen a lot of mechanics in different games that punish all players in a group for the mistake of one. But almost all of them were from hard content. If we're talking about MSQ and the casual part of the game, in which the authors mostly tell the story, then there must be a different way. Not killing all the players for the failure of one is the golden mean, in my opinion. Those who like this QTE can do it as often as they want, those who for some reason cannot, will not wipe the whole group.
And you only need one lag to destroy this casual use of the buttons..also its not clear from the QTE itself. If I see something going down fast my reaction would not be: Lets hit a button slowly..it would be to smash it as fast as possible..this view is then supported by the bar still dropping even if you smash it.
Maybe some will watch a video or read the forums, but that does not help you when you do it the first time and 99% of the people probably also wont read it up later..so why SE choose to do this one QTE that certain way is beyond my understanding..and seeing some descriptions here on the forum, the slow version does not work for everyone. Its just really confusing why they thought that this would be great in this trial.
There's no point in having a rational discussion when all you guys do is hunker down behind "challenging QTE that isn't challenging" as if it was Passage of Arms, and go "nuh uh, you need to discuss this and not give no u points" when someone points that out.
Your purpose here seems to be just easy fawning on proponents of this idea and insulting anyone who disagrees. You can't expect any rational answers because you're not looking for rational discussion, just cheap insults and borderline bootlicking.
Where are your constructive arguments, when all you did was fawn over OP and argue and insult with people who disagree? You cry about inciting fights and discrediting people, look at your damn posts!
And here's something constructive for all of you: try addressing the fact there's already two videos posted here showing you can do light tapping to win the QTE, which you all either seem to conveniently ignore or just argue back "well, my game doesn't work like that". And you still wonder why I think most of you just are looking for yet another AFKable QTE you can just fail through to clear the fight...
I'm not returning to this topic, not because you all managed to beat me out but because at this point you're out for blood of anyone who exposes your flimsy arguments. No, QTEs aren't a challenge but this one you can just AFK through your way to victory. ;)
