The solution is to release unique male sets.
But personally I'm happy that they're going to release male scion sets.

The solution is to see the bigger picture. The Minfilia-issue is only one example showcasing how, like in some seasonal items, female characters are once again getting a unique, exclusively-made outfit that is not available otherwise; while at the same time male characters are, it seems, being given repurposed gear pieces that had already been in the game.
The male AND demale scions are not too unique in that people can already emulate those looks, albeit limited to jobs and/or gender (Yda)
But the most important thing to consider is IF the male scions are gender-locked ... but we're all willing to be that it'll be unisex while Yda (kinda understandable with her panties) and Y'shtola will be gender-locked despite Y'shtola's gear being so generic her outfit can be emulated by all jobs/gender
Still, if they're not gonna take the time to make such small adjustments to make Yda and Y'shtola outfit to be unisex then I it pretty much says it all
...Minfilia's set was already in the game too? Putting the outfits the rest of the Scions wear and Minfilia's takes the same out of work, so there is no bias related to development time going around there. The issue is that one is a new model for the players, while male PCs don't get unique outfit, not that females got an "exclusively-made outfit". But yes, they could have easily added Cid's outfit, or Raubahn's or whoever's outfit that is unique.
There is a bigger picture sure but since the Minfilia set was directly referenced as an example of imbalance then its relevant that they are stating that they will be releasing the other scions 'cosplay' sets. Again, since people are bringing up the Minfilia set in the first place, its a fair question to ask if which is better? Cause with this case, which was brought up in the first place, even having male scion sets isn't going to placate people. Should they just case should they just not release any scion 'cosplay' sets at all since Minfilia is the only unique scion set?
They clearly didn't have time to give all the Scions unique sets in 2.0 which is why I suspect we are starting to see them get them in 3.X. However since none of the other male scions are around apart from Urianger and he doesn't have a unique set either, do they just not release anything?
Again, Im not saying there isn't an issue here. I'm just saying that you cant shot down any attempt at balancing things particularly since these sets are undyeable in the first place and designed as cosplay pieces. They are just adjusting a existing gear set to fit alternate racial frames.
Yeah, ok, I might not have used the best words there. My fault, sorry. (It's quite early here and I got up waaaaay too early today.) But yes - the point is the fact that the outfit itself can't be pieced together from gear we can acquire as of now, so in that sense it's exclusive. As opposed to the others already mentioned above. Again, sorry for the bad wording. @.@
Perhaps but if I understand it right, these particular sets are 'cosplay' sets rather than just fashion glamour sets. After all, didn't they say the hair is a wig rather than an actual hairstyle? Having said that it would be pretty interesting to see some players male versions of Minfilia.
I supposed we wait and see what they do with the other sets. Clearly if they made the male version unisex there would be an issue. I think the intent of what the outfit is for has some importance in this.
