Leves are not a constant source of SP. I ranked mainly on behest. Forget about specific hours if it makes you happy. Is it slower to gain SP now than it was pre-patch? Yes. Does this mean that ranking up is now slower? Yes. Then ranking up was nerfed and Yoshi said it wouldn't that's the bottom line.
Can I go and do other stuff for a fraction of the SP I could get pre-patch? Sure. But that's not the point of the thread.
The point is that the game's usual means of SP gains have been reduced, and we're all getting our panties in a bunch over it. It's not fun when you're rank 48, and so close to rank 49, and the gusher has been turned off.
Instead of a brisk jog towards your goal (or for those with very limited amounts of time, sprinting), you're being forced to crawl towards it.
I'm getting tired of the Japanese developers thinking that adding limitations equals gameplay/progression.
I bet Tanaka had a role in limiting the SP and adding these cooldown timers for Behest (that's the only thing that gives decent SP now!). As a rank 21 Conjurer, it was VERY painful trying to rank up solo on Leves - I didn't even get half a level bar on three leves!
And there's a LOT of other things to do when you don't have leves.
And that's the main problem. You're assuming that since they rebalanced YOUR PERSONAL favourite way of ranking up, they nerfed all progression, which is indeed largely false.Quote:

The fact that the SP is slower FOR YOU, because you refuse to consider anything else than your precious behest, is indeed no evidence at all that ranking in general has been nerfed. As quite a lot of people were nice enough to try and educate you on.Quote:

For the last time (read carefully), Behest was the most efficient way of ranking up, that's why it was the main one I used. As such it was the standard of peak SP gain. The only way Yoshi would have kept his word would have been adding or enhancing the other ways to gain SP so that they would provide the same amount of SP/hour post-patch that Behest used to provide pre-patch.
None of the ways added or changed post-patch provide anything close to the amount of SP/hour Behest gave. And so he lied. I can't possibly explain it any simpler than that.
Bro, you still doing this? you really only played literary a day of this patch and your complaining about sp you never searched for, all your complaining about is Leves at this point or at least in most of your post, You ignore the fact that I found stuff that has good source of sp and your still complaining on here... I think the forum Community brainwashed you... =(.
Go to the places I suggested and even dungeons you will have your sp gain .....
Actually, I think you're wrong. This is what it is like:
Pre-existing means of SP gain has been nerfed.
New means of gaining SP have been added.
This spells a VERY common modus operandi by the devs: Add something, something else gets taken away.
Seriously? Is that how they think? Duuuude, not even the West does that garbage.
If we're going to add more SP generation options, leave the other SP generation options alone. The idea is to encourage players to use them all equally, not discourage us from one or the other as a means of getting us to do the new SP options.
That's just pavlovian bullsh*t.
People need to be spoon fed:
From main page:
"Up until now, guildleves have been positioned as the heart of gameplay in FINAL FANTASY XIV. Going forward, however, guildleves will be reborn as solo-oriented content that can be enjoyed with minimal time and fuss. The changes will take place beginning with 1.18, and are scheduled to continue in future patches....
And Behest:
[dev1069] The following changes have been made to behests:
- Skill points are now awarded upon behest completion.
- Bonus points will be awarded for early completion.
- Gil rewards for behest completion have been reduced.
- Gil/Skill point bonuses will be awarded to those who complete behests in areas where there have been no participants for several cycles, or where operations have repeatedly ended in failure.
Like I said it is up to people to use their heads, and figure out how to maximize SP in many different ways, I never liked the one-trick pony anyways....
