That's really nice -please qq-.
No news about the countries out of the promotion? _w_

You are awesome :)
Anyway kind of partly gave up on it by now, and hope that the EU SE team makes a second round for those who miss(ed) out now :o that would be great (and I think they can figure out something that works, right?).
Maybe we just need to raise our voices and see if they listen if there is enough animo.
I guess large swathes of Europe aren't going to be getting this stuff at all, then?
I would just take this on the mogstation to be honest, since these events for west have been a big problem.
Correct. Unless the items in question are added to the Mog Station - which is pretty much the best compromise all around at this point given that even many of the players in European countries that did have a promotion missed out due to how awkward and contrived they were compared to the Japanese and North American promotions.
I know I'm late to the party, but does anyone still have a code for a maid outfit? I did not play the game for a few months because of health issues and now came back only to find out the campaign for my country is already over.
I'm crushed because I've been waiting for the maid outfit to come out. I know it's my own fault for not noticing sooner, I just wish they would have put it in the mogstation instead of having these really awkward promotions.
I would be forever grateful if anyone has a code which I know is unlikely. I would offer to pay you, but that's probably not allowed?
I would be really Grateful if somebody had a code for Maid outfit to spare, too. In my country we didn't even had the chance to Get it.
Dear SE this is the last day of 2016 and if I remember correctly one country still did not get their information about the missing parts of the campaign..really its so sad that there isnt at least a post every week saying that they are still looking into this. :/
Codes expired today ;( SE put this items in mogstation pls !

So... What happened to that?
We've been patiently waiting for months now, and we get a whole bunch of nothing? It was either that or spend money on some shady deal on eBay? Seriously? :/
Germany promo was around the end of November:Lodestone page link.
Edit: reading a few pages back it looks like Switzerland and Austria were together with Germany's promo.
For Italy and Spain:
Netherlands is still a big "?", they have been waiting for a reply for quite a while now.
Wait, so what? They give up? Like, permanently? No separate chance, no reparation of any kind? :| Are you serious, SE?
They already mentioned these won't be in the mog station, if I'm not mistaken. So what are our options? Do we have ANY option? Can they just give up like that??
Fuck, that's what you get for being a supporter since 1.0's beta and refusing to let other people profit by reselling codes, apparently. If any community rep is reading this I'd really like to know if there's anything even vaguely resembling a plan of reparation.
I'm really sad that I missed this but I feel really bad for all those that didn't even get the chance to get a code in their country :( I know they tried their best, but (if anyone from SE if still reading this thread) I would like to give feedback: Please put glamour and mounts for promotions in the mogstation in the future. That way, everyone has a fair chance to get them and it supports the game financially. It's a bad feeling when you can't get the glamour you have wanted for a long time.
Also, today is the last day to enter the codes, so I don't think another promotion will come :( Or at least I wouldn't hold my breath for it.
ALL EU codes are now invalid as they have passed the date until which they could be reclaimed.
Sorry to everyone who missed out. Which was a large percentage of the player base it seems.
So. Large parts of Europe are now officially locked out from the the codes I guess.
Here's hoping that they bring something to the EU regions to get these items :(. Hopefully they will announce something about it for the EU Fan Fest, maybe.
Its especially bad if one takes a look at the Chinese (?) cash shop..and see that they got the butler set there (if I remember it correctly). Why is all of this possible in their version but such a problem in ours? I mean all the work and time SE could have saved by just putting them there..they even could have been there a limited time only and maybe even put them there at the same time in the JP and NA version..everyone would be happy. :/ And yet even after all the anger that they caused with us customers they dont even manage to post once in a while in this thread. V_V
Hope for u have some news for ur countries soon :/
What ? chinese cash shop have it ? hope they put in cash shop of each server too soon ... they break hope for some countries like italy and its very sad ;(
The Chinese and Korean servers are a separate entity. Don't hold your breath that we will get it. At least not yet. Maybe in a year or so, if we're lucky. It was a promo and people went through a lot of hassle to get these items, so putting them on Mog Station immediately after the promos have ended would be a slap in the face to many players who went through hell to get them.
I mean, the Chinese and Korean stores have items like the Moogle cap, which was a 2.0 preorder exclusive and rest of us will never be able to get it. So yeah... SE rarely puts promo items in the cash shop for us.
Its very sad for us and them :/
When we buy a game in each country, we need to get the same luck :/
They want us to accept jump potion but no give a way to get items some of us not got like moogle costum etc. ;(
i see new players coming but they will never get some items olders have. Same me iv not some items...like this moogle cap etc.
Well just in this thread lots of people wanted it in the cash shop and only a small amount of players were against it. The only ones that had to go through a lot to get them were the players from European countries. JP only had to buy some drinks and the NA had the easiest one with the amazon promotion. But in the end it does not matter what we want or think about it. :/ SE does not care how their customers feel about it..that is shown quite strongly in this thread. Barely any answers and even after promising more information for that one still open country they did not do so.
I can't help but feel that, once again, the European market is being treated as an afterthought, like it has so many times in the past. And not just by SE - other game companies have been guilty of this too - but it took ages for us to get an actual EU server, and then this mess of a promotion full of broken promises and barely any response to our concerns at all...
I wouldn't hold my breath. At one of the Live Letters there was a greeting directed at North American and Japanese players. Europeans weren't acknowledged, which seems pretty minor in the grand scheme of things but makes me wonder how differently this predicament would be handled if it was affecting Japanese and/or North American players instead of European players.
This thread has been active for quite some time now and very little information has been given to us. We've had a few official replies, certainly, but nothing to alleviate the concerns of those of us who missed out through no fault of our own.
What we need to do is to remain civil and continue keeping this thread active. Perhaps even start sending polite feedback through the relevant channels (is there some sort of official place for feedback beyond this forum?).
There is a pretty big EU team, I don't know why half of the EU countries have just been forgotten.
I'm not letting this thread die with no answers, sorry.
As someone who actually RPs as a housemaid for my FC, this promotion was a real kick in the rear because I live somewhere that isn't JP or NA. The fact that I couldn't even take part just because of my location is completely dumb and unfair. I would literally pay triple the value of the glamours just to get them, they mean a lot to me. Whenever I run past someone wearing this attire, I can't help but grit my teeth in frustration, knowing they're either one of the incredibly lucky EU players, or just an NA player on an EU server due to friends and whatnot.
I should not be locked out of getting something like this through no fault of my own.
At this point I find myself genuinely wondering if it's just being swept under the rug to avoid someone getting in trouble for handling the promotion stuff so poorly. I feel like Yoshi-P is passionate enough about the game that he'd definitely speak up about this sort of thing if he was in the know. The problem is he isn't likely to be keeping tabs on this board, let alone this thread...and so if he isn't having our feedback on the matter translated and sent his way then there's likely going to continue to be a 'blackout' of sorts.
Just pure speculation that may very well be incorrect but it's something I can't quite shake off.
I find this very offensive towards the EU community, they made a promise even said wait so players who could have participated in the promotion, waited for the one that will come to their country. I am from The Netherlands and when the French Amazon event started, I thought to myself, buy a debit creditcard and get the maid outfit there or wait for the Dutch one. Looking back, I am glad that I bought a game from Amazon.fr and have received mine promotion items.
To those that are going to the EU FanFest, if this promotion issue is not resolved by the time FanFest starts, I advice you to make your voices heard during the FanFest. They can ignore us here, but there we might have a chance to bring it to their attention. If you guys are lucky, there will be another EU promotion, if you are not maybe the item will be released on the Mog Station, since alot of non NA/EU/JP players wanted to enter, but were not able too and this might give them a chance to enter and get the Maid/Butler promotion items. If this is swept under the rug, most of us will wonder: what will happen at the next promotion, will EU be shafted again?
Personaly, to those that did not get their promotion, do not give up and keep bringing this thread to the frontpage and let your voices be heard.
Well, I feel like I'm beating a dead horse at this point but...the best compromise would be to simply allow European players to purchase the items directly from the Mog Station for a price equivalent to what the 'average' cost of the campaign was for those who already snagged them. This is efficient from a business perspective as it will make money whilst also appeasing those of us who are understandably frustrated that we are missing out on items through no fault of our own.
That aside...I agree that it would definitely be beneficial for someone to try and bring this up at the EU Fan Fest. Or somehow make a post over on the Japanese forum about this issue if they're able to communicate in Japanese.
I guess I'd also like to take the opportunity to ask the relevant members of the community team an important question in the event that they are still keeping tabs on this thread:
What, exactly, can we do to help highlight this issue and potentially see the items added to the Mog Station or through a different, more efficient and easily accessible promotion for EU players?
Well, I mean, when you consider that NA players could get them for free as a complimentary gift by buying something from amazon, which I do all the time anyway, that UK players got them for free for buying a magazine at its normal prize, and that generally speaking they were always a free gift on top of another good or service you're paying the normal prize for... Paying 20€ for the whole set of items is still way more expensive than the rest of the world got them for.
But somehow I don't see them handing out free maid sets in our mog mail just as an apology, that'd be TOO good for a company that didn't even bother to acknowledge our exclusion from the event. However this goes, we got screwed.
The magazine was also limited in terms of its availability and exceptionally obscure. Hardly 'widely available in newsagents and supermarkets' as advertised. Furthermore players outside of the UK could order the magazine and many did which ended up lowering the availability for UK players even further. You also needed to buy three separate issues and required all of them for the codes - whilst Japanese and North American players had far less leg work to worry about.
At this point I just really want the items to be available and the easiest route for that is, unfortunately, the Mog Station. It's not the best solution but it's obvious that we need to compromise somehow - but more importantly we need to band together and continue to keep this thread active whilst considering other ways to make our voices heard in a civil manner. The suggestion by a recent poster about bringing it up at the EU Fan Fest is very good - and something well worth looking into, I think.
Even though I don't think the UK got a particularly good deal, I agree. Generally speaking it was a free bonus on top of the product people were paying for, so it should be bundled with something if it ever goes on the Mog Station. Personally I paid 20 € for that amount of Steam money in a nearby shop so it was indeed free. Some could just cancel their Amazon order and not worry about spending money on anything at all let alone leaving the house.
Others were not so lucky and had to order some crap they don't need and possibly get it shipped to their country. People outside the UK who got the magazines were right to do so in hindsight, since some promised campaigns never took place. Some missed out on one of the UK magazines after having paid for others, so they got screwed twice over. This promotion left a really sour taste in my mouth after seeing such unequal treatment of customers. Does SE even realize what a disaster this is? I don't understand why anyone would think it's a good idea to make their customers pay different amounts and go through different hoops for the same product. I appreciate the efforts of bringing the outfit to the rest of the world but I don't believe this was the best possible way to do it.
Heh, it's mostly just fetching people items and things like that. I enjoy spending my spare time doing it.
And yeah, I use the Valentione Dress dyed black along wiiiith... some... type of tights... and dress shoes... I forgot the exact items, but it definitely looks housemaid-y.
