I'm not saying I believe in the draconic origins I'm saying there's several things already in lore that can be subtle and not-so-subtle hints. As we know already, racial origins ingame are murky and scholars wrestle with things that make sense as well as those that don't. They even carry biases that cause them to disagree on many points. And now that you clarified your point about DNA splicing I can see that being a possibility but hardly proven any more than the draconic theories. And who's the say that Au Ra claiming no relation to dragons are right? Look at what the Ixal believed.

Most definitely. We need more lore in general and I wouldn't be opposed to them adding new quests in the same vein as the moogle mail quest line. And yes scrapped concepts and art can't quite be used for support one way or another until we get more information.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with Lyse, and her entire character so far is a fairly realistic portrayal of someone in her situation that's suddenly thrust into a position of authority. Said maneuvering of her wasn't unrealistic either.

Somewhat unpop opinion: I don't care if your alt job needs the gear more then a fully geared BiS person, if they are on the job they can roll Need for the item too. Though I will agree it does suck if you got really unlucky with the first RNG in gods knows how many runs on such and such piece.

And he was the one that changed Lakshimi to something more cute and beautiful than the original version was...so can we please have more monsters or bosses that are not just for his taste? Can we have not so beautiful NPC or boss women and sexy/handsome male bosses? I like cute things but its getting a bit too much.

I mean, if we're talking Viera, I think I would prefer the short, cute ones.

While I like Viera, and fully support their addition to the game if they are added, the cute concept would doubly act as a counter to Lalafell. Despite have 3 very tall races (2.5, really, because Au Ra girls) and several average sized option, the scaling drops to very small and baby like for Lalafell. It's a dramatic aesthetic shift.

So, those cuter Viera concepts could bridge the gap a bit, be a second short and sweet option, and be another animalistic option.



But I would rather something Liltie-like. Dwarf-like people with plant features.

Actually, they stated a while back Au Ra aesthetic were changed due to how JP players overwhelmingly dislike bestial race options. I believe complications with armour also led to the change.

It's not. An MMO game cannot be designed around high PING. Their "designed around 200 ping" means only that you can manage to pass content if you're a really good player with a good team, however, 200 ping is way too much for some mechanics. Unless you are able to foresee them being used and move early, chances are you're going to be hit by something that someone with 50 ping could avoid easily while still throwing a quick cast.

When talking about quick cast, with 200 ping it is possible to:
Cast a spell with cast time despite using Swift Cast (you need to wait a moment for the Swift Cast to register, thus together with its animation lock almost halving its potential).
Spend mana/triggers to cast a spell on already dead mob (even with a cast time).
Often invalidate cast interruption for changing spell since the time it takes for the game to relay to the server and back that you can cast another spell is so long that you often would manage to finish the spell in the first place (but it still works if your intent is to dodge AoE).
Lose out on ability usage as weaving multiple in-between is going to push your global cooldown skills back a bit.
Be hit by fast attacks before you even see their AoE marker...
Interrupt your casts through moving even though you stopped moving 0.2sec earlier.

If a game with so many disadvantages is "built around 200 ping", then I really don't know what definition they use for "built around".

I was only referencing Yoshi lie before the servers move, he said the game was designed around 200ping (when its actually around japaneses at 20 ping).

And yet who has the largest consistent number of requests for a Bangaa race?

Hmm, the JP community...

At this point I'm too used to the dainty Au'ra females to care much, but that hardly seems consistent as a primary warrant on Yoshida's part.

Being popular or unpopular

I would like to see Tank "tanking" more and Healer "healing" more

Give Tanks and Healers more CDs and make the boss rape Tank HP as their own b**ches so we can tank instead of DPS and Healers can heal instead of DPS.
