There ARE multiple routes to the servers.
YOUR ISP just happens to route everything through the one that is affected.
There are plenty of european and american players that are completely unaffected playing on Aether right now.

Irrelevant. Even if it's not "their fault", it shouldn't be up to the playerbase to have to dig up the root causes of the issue, SE should at the very least be on top of this and explaining exactly what's going on and what steps are being made to correct the problem. As a paying customer I believe it's within my rights to receive prompt updates when faced with interruption of service, I'm not asking for free sub time or in game items or anything, I just want to be updated on the situation in a timely manner instead of over half a day later still having to research elsewhere to get a picture of the situation.
There have been others in this thread pointing out what the problem is. Pointing finger at SE is useless for this issue.
13 hours later, still cant log on. This is getting ridiculous.
I'm using TWC and I'm assuming comcast is also effected. So besides those two, how many other ISP's are the "issue"? Since it seems we're gonna deflect blame from SE for this. lol
ya i cant play... i dont want eu servers and jp servers cause i dont want people bothering me
