That doesn't sound like a packet loss issue, as that doesn't affect frame rate. When your connection to the server is interrupted, you'll usually see every other character in the world stop moving, and your actions stop working.

dont worry guys, during 7.0 this packet loss problem will still be around, its clearly a feature of the game and not a bug wink wink
The packet loss, lag and disconnects are getting worse by the day, a VPN helped for a while but not anymore.
Now i cant even get into a instance without DCing, is almost unplayable at this point
If this continues i see no alternative besides quiting the game
After a month of no issues, today the lag is back with a vengeance. Everyone on screen freezing every five seconds or so, and could barely get through doing mini cactpot for the day. Again, it all goes to crap within ntt, looks like sacramento maybe? Everything was fine last night.

This has to stop. Get NTT on the damn phone and get your Sacramento node FIXED. I'm hitting FREEZE FRAMES. This in particular was for pinging Aether, the DC everyone goes to to do any content nowadays. Right now it's unplayable for any combat content.

i use Xfinity, not at&t, and the lag is unbearable. it's not even worth logging in right now. i can't even see myself when i mount for at least 3-5 seconds. did a hunt train last night and couldn't even see the mobs spawning until i was dead. it's horrible. the only thing i have been doing for the last week is struggling through frontline roulette once a day and checking my island sanctuary for a moment before logging out because i don't even want to see what a dungeon or raid looks like at this point. I did maps on friday and some of my party members from my FC were having this same problem during maps. moves not registering for long periods, mobs not appearing, dying to things they can't see until they are dead. i really hope the devs figure out a way to turn this around soon. I play mainly Mch and this is no fun at all. Tried paladin and it was just as bad. for the first time in a while i am actually looking for alternative games to play because i can't stand to play any ffxiv in this state of lag.
The game was mostly fine for the latter half of last week, but leave it to reset day to make it unplayable. Disconnects every 3 minutes on the dot since ~7 PM EST for me.
The packet loss issue for me has been going on for weeks, but it was especially bad this week. Savage reclears were impossible today because the game was unplayable for me, and I have DCed more than 3 times in that hour we tried to run for before giving up.
This always happens from 7PM EST to around 11PM EST for me as well, I'm honestly tempted to just resign myself to not playing on reset days.

Getting bad lag here today. In Eastern Washington. Weird That I don't get any bad lag spikes when inside Sanctury Island just outside it.
I'm also getting bad lag tonight. As others have described, the Sacramento NTT node seems to be the cause as that's where I start dropping packets and my ping shoots above 150ms.

Bad server connection/lag is making the Fall Guys event literally unplayable, as if the unskippable cutscenes weren't bad enough already.

I really wish these server issues would be fixed. Granted I never really had the best connection to them at 200ping. But lately its been at 270, and its making life so hard and frustrating to do things like this Fall Guys cross over event.
I am so far away from hit markers etc and I still get hit. I could do anything before with no issues, now its just... its so frustrating.

Getting same thing from south east. Route issues causing packet loss too.
I am also experiencing severe lag, took a couple tries to even connect to my server from character select today.
I had this issue the past 2 days in varying intensities, been too severe to even play most content.
I live in Centeral Texas though so not sure where the hang up for my connection is.

I'm having 25-75% packet loss between the San Jose, CA and Ashburn, VA NTT nodes. I have to use a VPN to get around them.
Reset days seem to be the worst for me. I've been kicked no fewer than 10 times in the last two hours while doing some crafting and island sanctuary things.

Server was totally fine for me all of yesterday, but since today at 8 AM EST, it's been dropping me every 3-5 minutes... SE please fix your servers...
Just submitted the form as well. Since resubbing a couple weeks ago the game has been unplayable and I've been tearing my hair out trying to figure out why, so seeing this thread gave me a little bit of sanity back. I'm in eastern Canada, for what it's worth.
I'm not holding my breath. We had 90002 errors and constant disconnects for years and they did nothing.
We posted in the same thread about it for two years straight. Never even acknowledged it.

I've been playing with 70-90 ping for 8 years because Square and NTT won't do anything about the network problems in California.

Yup it's back for me again. I submitted a report but also posting here.
This doesn't feel like the same problem from my original post months ago. this feels more like a DDoS attack or something. I can't say at this time. I can say that other people I'm talking to in game are having bad lag as well. Using abilities just don't register at all or very slow.
Started at 9:30pm EST for me. Pings just jumped and packet loss started.
Again, left side is the Primal lobby server ping time, right side is packet loss to it. Bottom are ping times to Google and Google DNS. Those are fine.

Its still getting worse.
Last time I posted here I was constantly sitting around 270ms. Its like the connection is degrading slowly over time. I used to always be around 200, then its just gradually been getting higher and higher. Today it was 305ms the entire time.
Ive submitted a report with the tracert log and in it I can see my connection get all the way to the US and its 200-210, then it hits the us.bb.gin.ntt.net servers or connections, whatever it is, and it shoots right up to 310 almost.
Whoever this NTT group is, they need a swift kick.
Connection always seems to go bad around this hour. I've sent a report of my traceroute results as per the sticky, hopefully it gets resolved soon.
