I believe you right-click on the crop/animal you want to entrust to the mammets (from the npc menu). For crops it will use the same seed that is already planted, not entirely sure how the food works for the animals as I haven't tried that option yet.

One thing, if you're still leveling up your island, you won't get XP for the items your mammets are taking care of.

When you entrust an animal to the caretaker, you deposit feed specifically for that animal.

Na i already maxed it. I tooked a look at it right now and i must say the cost look pretty expensive for that service. 10 scipts per animal per day and still need to collecting the food by myself dosnt realy seems worth it.

Thanks, that answers a question I had.

With the pasture and crops fully upgraded, I'm realising it's not too bad as an EXP source – 1000 per day for gathering from all the animals and 1200 from crops (ie. 2400 per harvest every second day) though it would still take a while to reach rank 10 at that rate. But enough that I can maybe ignore the spreadsheet of doom.

Something I do need to know – how often are we supposed to feed to animals to prevent their mood from plummeting? It seems to drop unexpectedly sometimes (though other times they're fine) and I'm not sure if I need to be feeding them twice a day, and if so, whether they need the fancy premium food each time.

Feed them premium once a day after they drop to hungry (the barely filled heart).

I think it's mainly there so you can take a couple days off and not have to worry about losing anything.

I caught an alligator on 2nd try was an amazing experience and now I have most of the rarest. A great showcase to get friends to visit. :) this content is a homerun don't complain if you haven't even tried it.

I've just found out that I need to take a break from the game for a month. Should I let all of my animals go? Or just let them go the way of the Tamagotchi?

To my knowledge they don't die or anything. They just eat the plastic grass that never grows or disappears or something. The worst-case scenario is I think they get mad if they haven't been fed for a while.
