SE's inability to protect players from stalking/harassment

Couple of changes I'd like to see is if you remove someone from your friend list they should be removed off yours on their end and for the GM's to actually interact with reports instead of the usual "Did you blacklist them" Script. Yes obviously I did but for being a GM you'd think you can take reports a bit more seriously when it comes to stalking or harassment.

I might be misunderstanding your meaning, but imo, escalating is never a good idea with these psychos, they're just waiting for an excuse to get even crazier.

I still have issues from someone stalking me a couple of months ago or so. Now she's blackmailing my friends and trying to get my current FC leader to kick me. He hasn't yet, so either she's bluffing or he told her where to stick it, but I've not involved anyone else in it. I reported her and blacklisted her. She still randomly shows up near me, and I still hear whispers of her talking crap to me. All because I felt lonely in my FC and left. No drama. I didn't steal anything. I wasn't poached into another FC. Nothing. This is a crazy person, and outside of leaving the server and not looking back, I'm hard pressed on what to do.

Prime example of being stalked if you ask me. I'd recommend taking screenshots the next time she shows up near you and hard press this in the next GM report you make. I hope this can persuade them to take action instead of reading off their script.

That's what I have been doing. I've had a GM tell me that actions were taken against her and it for a minute anyway. She's painting a narrative of me being this crazy person who is making it all up. But I have screenshots of all of the text of which I won't share here, but sufficed to say she's mental. And she makes alts and plays them and such, so I'm blocking 3 of them. 3 of her characters have left me nasty whispers, to which I have screenshot and time stamped and sent to GMs, but nothing has changed. She can track me with impunity because at one time, I was friends with her main. She doesn't have to work hard to figure out where I am. At first, it made me paranoid, but we've moved past that into f around and find out territory.

I would also like to add that SE's unspoken stance on these issues does seem to be the "talk it out" mentality, however for a plethora of reasons this is conceptually backwards in thinking.
For example Yoshi and his two way friendslist statement of why we can't have one way friend removal: "Why did he delete me?” "that might cause trouble". This response never sat well with me to begin with because if I want to de-socialize with someone for any reason, I have a right to do that on an absolute whim. I do not need to give anyone an explanation, I do not owe them one. It's like Yoshi is projecting his feelings about getting ghosted on tinder onto the rest of us.
I see literally no way that forcing someone to sidestep a troublesome individual is going to dodge conflict. In order to "stop" being someones friend now, you literally have to start conflict with them in some form to get them to remove you as well.
It goes from the ability to silently and smoothly avoid a fight and hurting feelings to "Bro you are so *insert negative descriptor* I can't stand you, unfriend me and never speak to me again".
Like yes Yoshi that was totally better than pouting for a little bit because someone on the internet removed you from their friends list.
I don't see why we have to cater to people that are being ghosted while some of us are hunted by deranged maniacs.
In my own anecdotal experience, I do have to comment that if you are a person that gets consistently ghosted by many different individuals then maybe you should investigate the one common denominator, yourself.
If you are getting repeatedly ghosted by new individuals then you are doing something off putting. Maybe try refining your social skills and see if it doesn't improve.
We all have been ghosted once or twice, its just an inevitability for having a lot of friends. But if you are consistently driving people away then you are in fact the problem and should evaluate that and not expect a games design to be a social crutch for you just so you can keep friendslist hostages and avoid refining your social skills.

I agree. Stalking is indeed petty. :)
Wouldn't it be nice to have some tools or resources to make the pettiness stop?
