It depends on how you look at it. Splitting datacenters and 5.0 actually working means very little to the people who are leaving over the genderlock itself, or the people upset over how bad SE handled this entire situation. I mean, we can't prove anything, but it's very easy to claim SE didn't confirm the Viera genderlock until after people could no longer get refunds over their expansions - and mind, I believe SE admitted they knew there'd be backlash, and that includes in its extreme cancelled pre-orders and unsubbing.
Between people being certain SE wouldn't reintroduce genderlocks only to be sorely disappointed, and this entire thing feeling scammy, I think there's room for them to address this on equal measure. A lesser product can be tolerated if people have faith in the company and its image, two things this entire incident damages.
