Honey I did savage back when autos did chunk you for 60% of your HP bar. If you did twintania on content you’d know today’s autos are piddly slaps in comparison, I’ll also note tank autos used to be able to crit. The boss is trying to kill you, not have a dance party with you

The only bosses in Recent memory who’s autos actually hurt to tie standards they couldn’t just be shrugged off by oGCD’s are shiva and P8 and both of them did like 20 autos across the entire fight because they spend the entire fight casting

“You’ll force healers to actually heal the tank” **gasp** **shock** oh no, I’ll actually have to do my job rather than playing a gimped caster, how terrible. It’s not even like modern “lenient” heal checks are helping the healer field considering how much people hate healers right now, mit checks you are forced to rely on the DPS for isn’t exactly something that incentivises people to play healer

What justification you have to speak for everyone on this?

Casual healers have good time with easy dungeons. Raiders have good time with optimizing healing/mit.

For healbots there is already a game for this playstyle - WOW.

At least Square Enix has receipts in the form of metrics to make decisions on.

To be fair, M4S phase 2 boss autoattacks do hurt a lot too. I think it's around 60k unmitigated. Although I don't think she autoattacks that much either. She doesn't have many tankbusters though, so tanks are free to CD the autos (though most don't).

I think current autos that don't crit are more of a testament to how bad the tank is rather than the healer. The difference between a dead tank and an alive tank mostly comes down to whether or not they put up CDs during dance mechanics like Alarm Pheromone in M2S and Barbarous Barrage in M3S.

I’m not speaking for everyone, I’m saying the forums are constantly flooded with threads about how bad healing is, checking PF listings for current savage is full of holes for healers and there is even a thread up right now where people are agreeing to the fact that often you have to suffer bad healers because otherwise you’ll be waiting hours for a new one

Does that sound like a healthy healer space to you because it certainly doesn’t to me

You mean about 30k + 50%? 30k is mitigated value since autos now don't happen constantly.

What’s the point of having 190k HP and 80% inherent defence when the autos hit you for 30k and the boss does like 5 per minute

I have single target healing, you have self healing you should be getting belted by the boss. Why do you need all that self healing if the autos don’t even hurt that much, it’s certainly not for busters because that’s what the long mits are for

Also even this healing situation is too much for weaker healers in PF. What is Yoshi-P to do to then, since healer population needs to be big enough it must be made even more accessible? Add even more healing tools to other jobs and further dumb down healing? :D

Have you seen PF the role is already dead. Why are you acting like doing anything to healers will completely ruin them, they are already ruined, nobody wants to play them. If you are in PF waiting you are waiting for a healer

And healer DPS parses already factor in GCD healing, people just don’t like GCD healing because it isn’t really necessary in modern fights

It's worth noting that if the design forces GCD heals, then those GCD heals will become standard as part of logging that fight.

It's the same as when a melee player complains "Why do I need to disengage for this mechanic? It's hurting my logs!", but every melee has to disengage for that mechanic, so everyone operates under the same circumstances.
