[Suggestion] Fashion/Vanity Slots.

You sly dog, you. Either way, I agree that the reasoning presented is more like a stalling tactic. Specially considering how specific the restrictions are as per the OP. I'd like to have a feature like this a little sooner than after 8 years into the game's life as an attempt to give people things to do. Transmog was introduced in WoW as a desperation move to save subscriptions along with Raid Finder (both were supposed to be part of the next expansion but were released early after that game lost about 2 million subscriptions). I don't want XIV to wait that long before introducing such a system.

I'll second Buttons' motion to have the details on the OP and the suggested restrictions on the system presented to the developers.

It's a real shame all that cool armor such as artifact, or darklight goes to waste. I mean they are all vanity gear anyway.

Why can't it be allowed for Disciples of Magic/War to wear the gear that falls under their category. Like I love how Paladin gear looks, but melded armor is obviously better, so why can't I, only as paladin, be allowed to put paladin AF into a vanity slot.

Or that damned militia robes, it's blue, very hard to be a red wizard when you wear blue. Not that I have one, just saying why can't I have a vanity slot with a red robe if I wanted to.

It is a shame. I thought Yoshida would of understood that not everyone wants to look the same. Blizzard and other MMO's realized this, I don't understand why SE can't. You can definitely set restrictions. I still believe his excuse for not having it feels invalid.

We need confirmation on this, I would like to wear things like AF/Dalamud Horn/seasonal outfits but this is impossible while they are useless, vanity slots would be the easiest fix for this, whilst not changing stats.

That is a majorly weaksauce reason for not including vanity slots.

I seriously hope they reconsider. For those who are truly "unable" to distinguish without seeing crappy mismatched min/maxer gear on other players, just put the option to turn vanity slots off visually for your game.

Only total weirdos are against this idea.
