I'd be more into Cid if his in-game model wasn't so freakishly misproportioned. His neck freaks me out with how wide it is, and his head is too small..his jawline shouldn't even connect cause that neck is so thick >< His arms are so buff they may as well have made him a Highlander instead of a midlander

These problems aren't present at all in the high-res footage of him. I can properly oogle him...but then again..Than gets even hotter there...so all my drool is saved for him '-'

I guess I just highly dislike that hairstyle, irl or on fictional characters. That's why most of my fav FF chars were usually the ones with anything but that hair (and unfortunately so many leading men in FF games have something similar to Thancred's). Don't hate me now, but no amount of muscle or badass attitude can make guys with such hair be anything other than girly to me ._. It just looks too flowy, clean and parfumy :p but I guess to each his own.

It's about charming the ladies most of the time. The leading men in the modern FF games all have a romantic interest. They're also supposed to be young and a little mischievous, so a clean-cut or shaven hairstyle doesn't really evoke that. Thancred combines this sense of youth and whimsy with Balthier's voice and swagger.

I thought Cid was a highlander! Where did they say he's midlander? Anyway, to me he's too Fabio-esque. Like something on the cover of a fantasy romance novel. He has the stubble of the FFVII Cid and the attitude of FFII Cid (who didn't have much to begin with). He's something all his own, though, which is really all that matters when it comes to Cids. They're almost all engineers, but they each bring something new to the table personality-wise. I just hope he cut his hair in the past 5 years.
