As long as we can use chocobos to ride to areas/aetherytes we havent been to, or to out of the way areas from camps, im good.

So It would seem 1.18 Patch is quite a big one after all =) ( Yes I know they said it would, but some people say this will be a lackluster patch blah blah) So here this makes my thoughts that much better =)
I don't see how dungeons and battle mechanics is lackluster

But they said for the Mid June patch that would be dungeon content and the beginning of battle mechanic changes and that isn't lackluster at all, that means the patches following the next will be game changing and possible a cast of Raise 3 of FFXIV.
Hopefully we'll finally get a raise spell animation lol. Just really bugs me that you dont know someone casted it unless you check the log.
They did Kinda say in their own words that, All the patch proir to the one in June were practically Groundwork Patches that lead to the Very big patches. If they were to put all this Big patches in and did the small stuff later It would have been probably Chaos, with people still complaining that These updates are Extremely buggy, and/or Cant play the Game itself.
All in all, Im extremely excited for this "Raise III" FFXIV Really needs right now =).
Ah, sorry I missed that. Regarding what Foxclon said on the JP forum was the fact that in the 1.18 patch, the anima cost of "Return" will be lowered to zero. He also said that while it's a bit off, they're gathering their thoughts regarding future modes of transportation and once we have something concrete to share, we'll let you guys know.
Bayohne if we had a "Friends List Plus" type of thing on here I would add you, lol. Thanks again for giving us a bit more option, I am sure everyone here is really excited to here about more transportation modes whenever you get the information. Chocobos, Choco Stage Coaches (they was talked about originally and are seen at different places in the game still) and Airships. Also we had a Dev Tracker saying something about Player Companies hopefully Player Company built airships are in the works.
I'd really like to just have chocobo rental services already so we can cross long distances easier, and Yoshi-P's team just create extra uses for them as time goes by. First and foremost they should be used as normal transportation.
Airships, I have no problem with at the moment since there arent too many far flung cities, but I we've already got Airship ports everywhere, so not sure whats up with that.
Oh please god, please don't make Chocobo travel some annoying mini-game. I have a feeling theres a lot more to do with some extravagant system chocobo's are going to bring instead of just allowing us quick travel.
