signed. the new direwolf gear for drg and mnk r dyeable recolors of cavalry/infantry gear from brayflox's longstep so those sprites are already in game and we still cant dye them. Speaking of dyeable loot i need to go make thread on why dyeing my hetairos mail and breeches makes them and part of me invisible,

Because there are tons and tons of NPCs who use dyed gear that, for the Players, is undyeable.

12-30-2013, 05:37 PMWildspriteI believe that is supposed to be an NPC wearing some gear you can get in PvP but I would like to be able to dye the original Acolyte robe myself, the acting Guild Master and the Guildmaster for the Arcanist Guild are both wearing different colors (Ice Blue and some shade of Red respectivly) of said robe, I don't want anything to do with PvP, really don't want to do it for a clone of gear I already have for vanity purposes so yeah please let us dye gear like thisQuote:

The fact that they released a recolour as a veteran reward should indicate their intentions.

The world where white is not white and black is not black.
Where equipment got base colors you can't change and which will give you eye-cancer if you try to combine them with other colors.
A world where you can't wear items of different sets because even the colors you apply to them look different on each piece.
I will never forget the moment when I tried to dye my Militia Mitt Gauntlets to get rid of the ugly brown, and the only thing that changed was the small piece of leather around the arm.
Why can't the white I put on my Heavy Darksteel Armor be the same as the Valor Sollerets, and why is there no matching color for the blue on the Valor gear?

I can understand why we can't dye Unique Items. And I honestly agree with not dyeing them. But I'd be able to live with it.
So consider this neutral I guess.
However.....I do NOT want to see anyone getting the ability to dye Artifact Armor. I don't want to see yellow Dragoons running around everywhere. We'd be a bunch of power rangers. Reds pinks yellows blacks...no. AF needs to stay its original color. It's one of the staples of Final Fantasy...it would be like having a bright yellow Master Sword. Just doesn't work... -

So is there any word why we still got too look fruity with the gear colors they choose(mixed match crystal tower and mythic pieces is example) and have to look like the same players, but really fruity? At least let us dye the highlights of the gear or something this is a mmo. Last time i paid it was not a single player RPG.

I wouldn't want artifact to be dyeable either (unless it was limited to stay true to the original), but I don't see why pinks and greens can't be dyed. So /signed.

I heard they plan on making everything dye-able in the next patch? Is this true or did I hear a hopeful plea from someone that wanted this to happen? Regardless.. Im down for this.. I dislike how most MMO's dont have this option -_-
