Ifrit, normal mode, pug. The two dps didn't talk all the time, even when asked if it's their first time. They don't move from the fire on the ground most of the time. They don't kill the nail. At all. Even if specifically told to do so. Needless to say we wipe like 5 times. The last time suddenly they wake up and destroy the nail, but I die an instant before the boss, and obviously nobody has a ress. So everybody gets completion but me. Luckily my FC mates did it with me after, I didn't wanna dare DFing it again.

Toto Rak...final boss, everybody keeps attacking the boss and ignoring the adds,or anyway the adds keep coming much faster then they're killed. I thought it was me screwing up and not managing to keep up with heals that caused that wipe, but then I ran it again with FC for someone else and the fight was a joke.

Early dungeon, one of the dpses tanking, the tank being a total leeroy...luckily in such places nothing bad can happen.

Not my horror story but my brother's. Yesterday my brother was running Tam Tara with a PUG. He was running with a tank, an archer and a pugilist. After the tank would pull mobs, the archer would then start dpsing them from POINT BLANK RANGE. Like... He was practically meleeing them. And then after a while he'd pull hate on himself and still just stand there while the tank did nothing about it. The pugilist did nothing for half the fights because he was busy lagging/ dcing.

As for my own horror story, I have plenty. Here's one from my Haukke Manor run today. The tank we got was decked out in Blue Gear (rare gear) and so he pulls the first mob WITHOUT FLASHING. Obviously I have to heal him at some point. I keep waiting for the flash but it never happens and I heal him any way. Like so many other of you who experienced the same thing, I pulled hate and we wiped. I had to tell the tank TWICE to flash mobs. He did start using flash but never spammed it enough and dps kept pulling mobs off him through out the dungeon. I'm so sick of PUGs right now.

I had a tank last night that kept turning the first boss of Stone Vigil *towards* me and the rest of the party. For those of you that haven't done this dungeon yet, this boss is pretty much just a frontal-cone-AoE machine.

Needless to say, we died hard and fast when I ran out of mana about halfway through that fight.

Heres mine... duty finder to Ifrit HM i go in as a PLD i get ask by the other pld "omg your black?" i say "and...?" he goes "ewww" What the eff is wrong with people....?

It was a dark and stormy day, when my controller decided to crap out for seemingly no reason. This forced me into changing to keyboard. I made macros. I'm not used to this. Watch out... I'm in the duty finder, and my queue may put me with you!!!

This happens back at 1.0, on instance called "Hamlet Defense" which ppl love and loathe.

This certain someone at first assign me as whm even tho I'm not big fan of that job, but I relent. Does help me learn more playing whm effectively.
But then he keeps me on that job, even though I would rather play other jobs, namely brd or pld.
Added with several complicated matters, several months later I quit doing hamlet with him and rather doing with pugs which I enjoyed way more often, even if I have to use whm again. But at least I've gotten to learn playing other jobs and doing good at it.

Since then, I'm a bit resentful with whm. Back in beta, I did lvl cnj from scratch again and plays it often on dungeons which wasn't all bad, learning how to manage my enmity with it. Still, I won't gonna do it, unless there's a certain emergencies. :p

I did start playing XI after XIV final save. And during my time there, I got a glimpse of how whm could become similar burden like I have with hamlet. And thus... I haven't also grinded my whm in XI too. Not gonna make the same mistake again. lol

I've been lucky so far, I haven't had any terrible experiences in a dungeon yet (I'm only 31, so yea...I'm sure that will change lol). But my first time going through Toto-Rak I had a MRD who I thought was taking a ton of damage. I was having a really hard time keeping him alive. It wasn't until the last boss that I noticed I had been in Cleric Stance the whole time. I even looked at my buffs multiple times during the run and just didn't notice it lol. It was pretty embarrassing, but after I turned it off everything was fine lol.

In most of the dungeon runs I'm in I try to give the tank a few seconds to grab hate before I start to heal. It usually ends up with me still pulling hate standing far behind the group. Am I doing something wrong? I literally wait 4-5 seconds before I cast my first heal.

I usually start casting adloquium the moment they take any bit of damage for the shield, and decent tanks don't lose threat on anything, so no, it's not your fault.

Was doing Hydra the other day. We wiped a few times, and the main tank and other healer, a Scholar, proceeded to blame me saying I moved around too much and didn't heal enough. Funnily enough, the other healer got hit by Tri almost every time, and died several times in the fight. Sitting there and healing is all fine and dandy except when it's a semi heavy mobility fight. xD

Oh man, I had to make an account just to share mine after I saw this thread title.

So I'm a level 27 conj and when I'm not doing main quests, logs, or leves, I like to go back and run dungeons with people who can't find a healer. It makes me feel like a good person because who doesn't love ego boosts? Anyway, I'm nearest to Ifrit, so I see someone shout in the chat that they need a healer, and I say okay, invite me, and next thing I know I'm in a party with two archers and a gladiator.

Ifrit would not stay on that gladiator, and the archers could only take two hits and didn't seem to understand the AoEs on the ground. I felt so bad for those two archers, but everyone was cool about it, we finally finished after a few tries.

I've had my share of tank hitting only one mob, and then my three team-mates wondering why i'm saying "adds" every five minutes... so today (brayflox) I was happy to see that they took the hint at the first pack.
First boss we whipe, I was out of mana (first time that happen to me in a donjon) and there were some other errors from everybody, we somehow make it to the last boss (big dragon and his poison), and there I don't know where the problem is, but it's a nightmare :
tank doesn't manage to dodge the biggest attack (lose 60 percent pv), i'm quicky low on mana and someone die, I rez them and am even more low on mana, of course the boss throw poison at me, so I heal myself, I'm out of mana, and someone else die and tell me "rez" over and over again, but I can't I'm healing those who are alive while dodging poison, at some point everybody die.
Repeat five time and then be kicked out of the donjon because it's been 1h30.

Too bad it's part of the main quest...

Level 50 warrior - 3.9k hp. 'Nough said.

Is there a reason a Bard would want to stand right next to me? One would think maybe for the song, but no that wasn't it, it has a wide area. I was in Garuda, and every time I would move (to be away from the other ranged - the bard), the bard would follow me and stand right beside me so we would both be hit by that one attack where she randomly targets someone. Then I would have to heal both of us. Finally after like telling him 10 times, he stayed away, and the fight went great. There are times you want to stand near the healer, but if its a boss fight with lots of random aoe's the more people that stand on top of each other, the more people that get hit - especially things that cant be dodged (no red circle). It sucks cause the more we healers have to move, the less we are healing and the more likely someone will go down.

I got into an Ifrit premade, which I thought was good news. Most had Ifrit weapons.
We start the encounter, and the other healer is dead by 50 %.
I solo heal down to 7%, but since people keep eating plumes and charges, there are only 3 of us left from 7 to 3 %. People are screaming at me to LB, but it’s at 2. I figure, why not? I’m out of mana, and maybe a full health tank and stunner can get the last bit of health. We wipe.

Immediately, the premade starts screaming at me for wasting the LB and calls me bad. They say it was my fault they died, even though the log showed they were eating plumes like crazy. They start screaming about WoW, then trashing my armor and that I don’t have my Ifrit weapon (which is not my fault, since RNG hates me. I have an Ifrit SCH book, but have never seen conj weapon drop).
I tell them that I am sorry for blowing the lb 2, but they were dead because they weren’t dodging, and I was trying to solo heal. It’s not my fault they died to avoidable mechanics. I was sorry and they needed to accept their part in the failure. Well, that was flame to the fire and they just started bashing me. (Except the other healer- who was quiet the entire time, and I suspect a decent person).

So I call them jerks for blaming me for the wipe, since they were eating avoidable mechanics, we argue, and the tank sits down and says no more pulls, we would just sit there.
I have had enough at this point and I pull a jerk move- I admit it- I pull Ifrit and he wipes us. Okay, so now they have a good reason to be mad, but after having 6 other people blame you for not rezzing them after eating avoidable damage was just too much.

Well.. after that, the tank pulls without warning, and we engage… not surprisingly, the other healer dies pretty quickly, and several dps eat plumes and die. Meanwhile, the stunner is intentionally not stunning eruptions in my area- he said so in chat- but I dodge every single one, anyway. In fact, in both runs I am not hit a single time by avoidable damage (except a knockback)- while they are faceplanting plumes and calling me bad.

Well, on the second attempt, much like the first, we are down to three, due to eating plumes- when I get the LB 3 and successfully rezz the entire raid at 7 percent. Unfortunately, I die in the LB, since I can’t move – but all 7 others are alive and healed successfully.
They then proceed to laugh at me for dying >.>… then congratulating themselves on victory- until half die from plumes at 3 percent, including healer again… and then they say in chat- oh no, maybe we don’t have it (apparently, the other 7 elite players can’t get 7 percent without dying)… they DO finish, successfully.

Afterwards, they do nothing but make fun of me, refuse to rezz me- even though I LB3d all of them and saved the raid from their failure… they sit there calling my gear trash and even though I congratulate the dragoon on his new weapon, they are nothing but insulting.
Worst run ever.

I know that wherever this terrible group is, they do not reflect the rest of the community-but beware if you get into a premade and they are bad- they will blame you for their failure!

Dude, they were a pre-made of badies. Seriously as healers, your job is to keep everyone alive. However, they have jobs to do to and it is NOT simply to sit there face pounding the mob. If they are not moving out of avoidable stuff - then that is their fault - likely your time was being spent keeping the tank alive. They were a pre-made of baddies hoping to get one or two people that could save them... funny they weren't blaming the other healer for dying at or before 50%.... a group of friends who are sucky players. I admit when things are my fault. However, blaming me when you are the one to blame usually earns you a spot with all the gil sellers.... in my blacklist.

Darkhold, last boss. First attempt I die from the target attack that you have to avoid and make sure to not be near others...I was well out of range but I still died. W/e, learned that mechanic. Then it got worse...tank could not speak English very well + could not hold threat at all (I tanked 3 attempts) + was taking 3/4 of his life every hit + I had more life than him lol, melee dps was soaking avoidable mechanics and getting killed usually first, and the mage was going on and on how bad we are and it's not hard to avoid floor candy and such (who ironically ate a bunch himself). I almost never tell anyone to shut up out of 9+ years of healing but I did this time to the mage who was being an idiot. I lost my cool which I am a bit sorry for. Well we wiped until timer ran out and that was that. First 8 or so dungeons were great and this was the first bad group. More to come! Honestly though, if I was to list every bad dungeon/raid experience....that would be a novels worth, perhaps even a trilogy. I always expect the very worst when it comes to PuGing now, as a healer you have to get used to it. ;)

p.s. like to note, I am not perfect either. So I really dislike calling others 'bad' and other such insults unless they REALLY deserve it. Most people will make mistakes, even the best so it's a good idea not to be so critical all the time imo unless it's a cutting edge/top end content. It's amazing how a little advice and or patience can make a world of difference. This works both ways: to others and yourself...getting all mad and upset at others all the time never does anything good.

Tried my first attempt at stone vale the other night. The tank started off pretty bad and seemed to be new to the whole dungeon thing. I think I died at least three times on the way to the first boss because he wasn't able to hold aggro and I got beat to death by adds. To give him credit though he did get better by the end with some tips from the lancer in our group. The other problem was our summoner. The guy would just start randomly blasting mobs including the ones Id just slept that were beating on me. I think I died at least three times because of that. So we try to explain things and tell him to let the tank pull. The guy says "ok" and immediately runs into the next room and fire blasts a group of mobs. We wiped a few times and after we ran back, he would run smack dab into the group of mobs that just wiped us and start blasting. Not sure why I stayed guess just a masochist. We never did get the final boss.

Since the day I started playing, I never turned on the option to join groups in progress for good reason.

You know, I've done every dungeon above lv.25 3-4 times with the DF and I've only had one bad party, which was a synced-down WAR who thought he could speedrun the manor by ignoring all trash mobs. Needless to say there are some issues with that strategy, like.. oh, I don't know--doors with keys? Sadly, everyone went along with it like it was completely normal until that WAR decided that we were somehow responsible for his death (when he came to the door for the third time and died to a ton of mobs), and ragequit to find another group.

This absolutely happened to me the other day as SCH on the last boss of the Stone Vigil. Thank god for the fairy, who kept the tank up while I re-learned keyboard controls for a minute. I'm pretty sure that group just thought I had a seizure at the keyboard during that fight, but no harm done.

I learned this early on--that checkbox is not to be toyed with. o.o

How about when you use repose to sleep links. But Hyper active DPS AoE everything messing everything up, and the your tank dies. the end

This happens to me all the time, even when I number them long before they are pulled. The worst DPS are the ones who know they're doing it, know they are straining your MP (especially when the tank is just fighting his 1 mob), and simply say that leaving the slept mobs alone/not using AOE would ruin their DPS... fml

I've had too many horror stories to tell running Longstop for my robe. There's been a marauder who didn't know what warrior was and, of course, the warrior who refused to use defiance.

Also, BLMs who don't sleep enemies that are wailing on you suck. Keep casting Blizzard 1, that will save us.

I was in a dungeon and the DPS was getting hammered; the Tank had around 1.3k HP. I through Regen on him and used Cure2 on the DPS whom had 400HP, he got hit for 390 damage jsut as I healed him so he went back up to half HP I used Regen on him then threw a Cure2 on the tank, (I had full mana). Anyway the tank had a fit and complained because he nearly died and that I shouldn't be healing anyone but him, spite the fact that no one had died and the tank had yet to use a single flash. I don't know how we finished that dungeon but I was close to leaving.

Next one is in PvE. A level 17 was running in a level 30 zone and was getting attacked. I hit the creature to draw aggro and healed him, threw stoneskin on him and killed the creature with Holy. He told me to F off and that I was scum for stealing his exp.. Even though I saved him. Furious as I was I'm kind hearted and always forgive, he appeared to go AFK so I began to kill mobs near him anyway ones cone hit him and instantly killed him. I just burst out laughing, it wasn't intentional.
He came back and proceed with a wtf, he then asked me to Raise him.. I promptly said no and that I'd rather go talk to spambots and blacklisted him.
An hour or so later he deleted his character. I felt bad but it's what he gets.

I'll throw my story into the mix. Though I am a tank, with a healer and DPS alt class.

I was the tank in The Aurum Vale, it was my first time in the dungeon, and I told everyone that was the case.
I didn't realize on the Coincounter Boss that I needed to run outside of his 100 and 1000 ton swipes or else I would be hit for 4200 damage.

I think I died 3-4 times before I figured it out, second time through I basically solo'd the boss while people were repeatedly raised and died behind me.
I really felt bad for the healer on that first run, but nobody told me what I was doing wrong, and I had to sit back and think about it afterward before it clicked.
I suppose google could have solved it for me.

Also, the Black Mage in the group told me "I'm going to have a smoke while the tank gets aggro."
That stung a bit.

I'm still an arcanist (leveling at the speed of snail) but I plan to go scholar. However on my way there I've run into a few GREAT healers. In fact it's usually the other DPS that was crappy rather than the healer. The one bad healer we had was in Sastasha the guy kept running head first into mobs along with the tank (maybe he thought he could be a backup tank???) and he let the tank die. After realizing he's Noob McNoob I asked him to keep away from the mobs and I acted as a backup healer for our tank.

I think in the end, it's ok to be a "newbie who listens for advice" than to be a jerk who wants to do his "own thing" and not cooperate with the rest of the party. Overall though my duty finder runs have been ok, but could also be because I play on the Japanese servers and I try to talk in Japanese (not tab but I can speak some decent Japanese) with the JP players.

The worst case was in Hauke Manor when the lv 34 THM came in, didn't sleep enemies and kept running ahead and aggroing everything. The poor healer had to keep spamming heals on both him and the tank, and therefore gaining aggro on himself. The healer was experience with this dungeon but it was me and the tank's first time. Fortunately the healer explained in Japanese to the idiot THM to stop running ahead and sleep things. The guy seemed like he was in a rush at which I'm like "if you're in a rush get out of DF".

Just ran Cutler's Cry.

It was pretty bad. We wiped on the first boss twice because I didn't realize I was meant to kite the adds.

Dps died twice on the second boss after I ressed him twice. Failed to use Esuna on his debuff..

And to top it all of, we were doing the chimera and I caused our group to wipe when we could of downed him. I stood in his aoe to get a cure off after failing to get close enough to him after his eye's went violet. We then ran out of time.

The group was really nice though bar the first tank (understandable).

Another story from me.

I was running Haukke yesterday with a friend and an FC mate. We used the DF to find us a tank which happened pretty quickly. So we come down the hallway and meet the first Maid servant. My friend hadn't had run this yet so I said to avoid her AoE. The tank is all like "Don't worry! I'm pro! I can interrupt her." So I'm all like "Ok." We take her down pretty easily. On the next pull, he pulled like 3 or 4 mobs in the room. The tank's health gets down to about 60%~70% which where I usually cast my first cure. I immediately pull all the mobs except the one he's attacking off him. Instead of apologizing to me for not pulling the mobs right, he told me that I was over healing him and that gave me a lecture about over healing. Seriously??? I threw ONE heal on him and it wasn't even Cure II. The rest of us face palmed but decided to go on with the instance since it was an easy dungeon anyway. This happened almost every pull till he started using flash about 3/4 in.

So we finally get to the Steward + Jester boss. He knew the drill of attacking the Jester first and the Steward second. Just before he charged at the boss, he said that he would tank the main boss while the 2 DPS were to focus on the Jester. He didn't tank the Jester at all. The fight went ok only because that dungeon is super easy. In a harder dungeon, we would've wiped with that strategy. I was going "wtf" in fc chat the whole time.

Off topic: Wtf is with this 1000 word limit on posts SE? Some of us do have long stories to tell.

Well I was in Stone Vigil... had been playing my blm for a while but decided to heal again. Everyone was new except me.

The Blm in party never used sleep which really irritated me. I always help and use sleep on my blm unless my group keeps breaking it. The tank dropped too fast with a mob of five on him. I was worried to spam heal because he couldn't hold aggro and I died a couple times this way with monsters attacking me.

We probably died five times to just trash. I admit one of those times I didn't heal hard enough, but the blm could have made it easier by using sleep! And another time was definitely my fault because I dropped the mouse, ugh.

At final boss it was a nightmare. They were all getting hit by the swoop attack multiple times. I died trying to heal them/esuna and ran out of mana. One time after the dragon landed, I had aggro and he went after me instead of tank and I died.

I am 100% sure they all hated me after that dungeon because we failed. Tank logged off without a word. Anyhow if any of them are reading this, I'm not mad about that run. :P This just reminded me why I hate healing again.

I had a party in CC and we were on the Chimera. They could not get it down. Violet in, Blue out. Run from orbs, simple! 4 times we wiped. They would eat the damage, then run as far away from me as possible. I'm dodging AOE's, I'm following crazy mechanics, and I'm still finding some way to heal you, and not run out of mana with my sheer force of will! On try #5 I get hit for my FIRST TIME, because of course I had to run to go heal somebody, and this one DPS jumps down my back. "You can't get hit, you're too important, it’s okay for us to take damage, but you have to stay up." I FLIPPED MY SHIZ. FLIPPED, I jumped down his throat, and boy did he regret ever saying anything. He apologized.

Yes folks it is a healers job to keep the party alive, but it is your job to NOT BE DUMB. *sigh* Luckily I have a pretty good team behind me now and never have to deal with that unless I choose to pug something. Crazy how other people think healing is something so easy.

PS: 1000 character really took a punch out of my story.

I think I posted earlier that I didn't have any horror stories just yet...well I hadn't gone through Brayflox or Qarn at that time lol. Every Brayflox story involves a...well, bad tank. Sometimes every Cure or Physick would pull mobs off the tank (because a lot of them I've had lately focus on one mob only)...Sometimes the tanks would take a Cure 2's chunk of health with every hit (I examine them and notice they are wearing low level 20 white gear) I'll give that tank some credit though, he wasn't as squishy after he got a couple pieces of gear and for the most part, could hold all the mobs. Brayflox was fine though, I got through most of the runs without problems.

Then I get to Qarn. I've only tried it twice and I haven't been able to finish it yet. The first run we couldn't get past the first boss because the bees weren't being taken out fast enough and people kept getting Doomed. It was late and I had to leave that run, everyone was nice but it got too late. I just tried again a couple of hours ago. We wiped at least once on every boss, but at least the party was nice. The tank was able to interrupt every Doom on the first boss, made it pretty easy. I kept running out of MP, it seemed like everyone was eating the AoE's and that just drained it. (I was on my WHM...and really missing Aetherflow lol). Everything was fine until the last boss. Dps wasn't taking out the staves and eating the beams, they also didn't get the ones in the boxes, and they seem to do a ton of damage. There are beams everywhere and it just got really overwhelming. Unfortunately I left after the second wipe because we had like 2 min on the timer and I knew it just wasn't going to happen. I think that dungeon is really hard with a pug. I may just skip it.

Haukke Manor, my first run of it as a Scholar (no aoe heal yet). We manage to slowly advance through even though our tank keeps pulling the Maidservants with normal groups, and just before the final boss fight, he dings to 30 and asks if he can leave to do his job quest, and if we can wait for him to rejoin through DF. We let him leave and 3 manned the boss.

So, for the last couple day's i've been helping my BLM roommate farm Brayflox. He REALLY wants those beautiful robes. We have run it about 20 times now and no drop but each run made me more and more afraid of new tanks. There were a few that were eager and willing to learn and accept constructive criticism. One in particular made AMAZING progress by the end and we turned him into a pro.


Several of the tanks I had, however, were agonizingly stubborn.

"I don't believe it's my job to tank adds, it's the dps job to kite them" Was one memorable quote. I screamed "ONLY the archer can kite adds! Casters have almost 3 second cast times!"

Luckily we had a Bard on the team who was laughing like crazy, he apologized for the pain i had to go through to keep that team alive by the end. Thankfully he turned out to be on my server and we're now friends :D

Another quote, when I questioned a tank on why he didn't use Flash to keep aggro, was "But it uses mana"....I was like..."WTF else are you saving it for!?!" But he turned out to be a great student.

I know that Brayflox is kind of the first "Real" dungeon, from healer and especially tank perspective(everything that drops in there is for tanks almost exclusively :/ ) but these tanks are killing me. So many have made their way through the world by Fate farms...which I believe is killing player skill and replacing it with mob mentality that is useless in dungeons.

It's gotten so bad that instead of saying hi my roommate starts every run with "Tank, do you know how to mark things? No? What platform are you on? This is how you do it. Next...." Then he starts to list the moves that tanks have to generate aggro and how to use them. I'm astonished at the number of tanks we've had in 2 days and 20 runs...20 runs that didn't know this stuff at level 32.

Half of those runs, i swear this is true, my BLM roommate tanked all the bosses by kiting and me healing like a madman after the tank dies in the first 10% of boss health. Aside from the tanks being squishier than the BLM, he wouldn't hold aggro...so I stopped healing him because I had higher hopes for the BLM. One tank was so bad at holding aggro that 30 seconds into the fight(we had to give him a lot of time to get aggro) my roommate cast ONE thunder and got full aggro the rest of the boss fight. The tank told us we need to learn to give him time to get aggro...I wanted to quit the team right there but it was the last boss and I didn't want to do that to my roommate or the other DPS.

This is just ridiculous, and I'm getting burned out. We pull from the FC regularly but they aren't that excited about farming Brayflox over and over for Caster robes. Lol

I have no idea why they dont use it.. I live on flash.. I flash twice on pulls if the mobs go past me, I flash em on the way.

YOU know that every tank can see if the mobs are linked right? We can actually see links between them. So I call out and mark one, 3 linked inc. Depending on my lag -- I curse my isp/se/the world network in general/ but normally I can grab em check my aggro and start my 3 round attack ending in rage of h.
Provoke, even shield lob is just a tiny bit of damage until you start using enmity attacks.

I reserve my right to look at both sides since I had a 35whm ... they are worse with lag

Garuda Story mode.

I spent the entire weekend attempting and re-attempting it. must of tried around 40 times. If it wasn't the tank fighting Garuda in the middle of the stone pillars, it was the DPS ignoring the feathers, or someone getting killed constantly in one of the instakills. I was starting to questing my ability as a healer when we finally got some guildmates together to help me out.

Awesome tank? Check, epic dps? check. Wow, Garuda isn't a pain in the ass anymore... In fact, I kinda enjoy it with the proper people. No one dies, we keep 3/4 towers until the mid phase.

Let that be a lesson, pugs SUCK. Find yourself a decent free company and everyone profits.

I've been fortunate enough to have grouped with some really great tanks, though there have been issues with aggro from time to time. The one time that really stands out to me was a tank who was severely undergeared, and would sprint from room to room--making it difficult to keep track of where he was going. I was spamming cure, and getting hate from all kinds of monsters. Every time I acquired aggro, I'd get closer to the group--and the tank would literally run away. I ended up heal-tanking the fight--not my favourite grouping experience thus far. :P

I should also state that one of the biggest nightmares for me as a healer is when I fail my group. Thankfully, it hasn't been a common occurrence, but when it happens--it's more painful than a bad group.

Ifrit would not stay on that gladiator, and the archers could only take two hits and didn't seem to understand the AoEs on the ground. I felt so bad for those two archers, but everyone was cool about it, we finally finished after a few tries.

the sad thing is.. easy mode ifrit is real easy as long as you watch the ground.
