Come on SE! Where are the queues??? You said 3-4 days ago that you would start allowing players to log in sequentially (a queue). What happened to this?

After 45 minutes of button mashing i'm 309 in queue. pray no d/c!

Mashing this button over the course of the past hour.. Got into the queue about 3 times then shortly after 1017 pops up.

At least make a working queue so I know if I have a shot at even getting in.

have to generally agree they had us go through a whole hell of a process to get in early access with our pre orders. they easily should have had a rough idea of how many people were planning to play this. tons of people really loved were they took every thing and what they genuinly planned to implement but seriously.

here we are day 2 almost 3 of release that's roughly a full week now the games been out and they had to lock all NA/EU servers so new people cant even make new toons, and its ridiculously hard to log in during normal hours. for me normal hours would be noon to midnight.

where there at now if its not fixed soon and i mean by sunday there going to start losing customers big time.. the weekends coming and WTH do you thinks going to happen then 2 to 6 times as many people are going to want to play.. and there selling this bs over psn.

Rename ff14 arr to ff1017 never play. oh but according to Square you can play during non peek hours like 1am to 7am perfectly fine! so either don't sleep, work or do anything you should be doing.

Yes Yes i know for the nay Sayers out there, they intend to increase server compacity or make more servers. next week. Imo this weekends going to break them. this just is not accepable for a released game. This is something i would have expected during beta phase 4s and on aka stress testing server compacity by only allowing access to 3 or 4 servers and see how many people can log in before they cant handle it and shut down.

I really really wanted to play ff14 arr and simply cant atm because i have to work and pay my rent so i can buy games like this...... frankly if i could i would ask for a refund this is not acceptable.

I dunno know why the queue system is so small, i thought the whole purpose of a queue system was to ease server stress....... 1017 stab your self in the chest.

p.s. from what little i have played the game seems really enjoyable but simply not being able to play is really pissing me off. its like getting a happy ending with out the finish you just have to get up and leave no finish.

the problem though is that the vast majority of people are just staying logged in since theres no afk kick system in place. More people are doing it when they log in. its just screwing things up more. The weekends literally a couple of days away i dunno what there gonna do when the forums get overloaded because people went and picked the game up on there days off and try to play only to find out the servers are locked....i would hate to be in square this weekend.

I'm all in for a queue.
I refuse to waste my time TRYING to log in.
I may actually check in on a queue, but I refuse to try more than once an hour for this BS.
If I do get in I know how to ALT+TAB and will remain logged in until a reset. I really hate doing that but I would like to access the game on my schedule. I paid too!

Ok...
I have been getting 1017 this whole time.
Now I'm reading more into it and I'm in disbelief there is a queue once you get past this??

My goodness...
Somebody fire up the time machine for 2010 so I can warn myself not to invest my precious time into this PoS.

I would not have believed that I could finish Beta 4 so excited just to feel so disappointed this week...

thanks for all your continued support guys im glad were all getting the same idea about this. It does seem like theres been some new involvement on the forums, lots of new stickies and stuff so i almost wonder if this sparked something already.

I believe it!
My early access consisted of checking chat support queues for 2 hours+ and being dropped at queue 2.
Not to mention never getting email replies as well.

Sad that these things are clearly accepted and expected, I can only assume, by most of the subscribers.

I, for one, think it's disrespectful to the customer and warrants the complaints received on these forums.

My theory: there's so many people overloading the login requests that we broke the counter for the queue

Im all for waiting in line for a queue if it would merit a chance to play. I had to completely reroll on a JP server today simply because i couldnt get into my normal server, so myself and 4 friends all remade. The entire time we were on the JP one it was smooth running, no hiccups, no dcs, and i even logged out a couple times and was instantly logged back in. You would think if they took away the segregation (NA/EU + JP) and just combined the server names and left off the regions (i.e. Global + Legacy) then 90% of the players wouldnt know the difference based on the ping since the pings max difference (according to arrstatus) isnt any more than +-50, wich is almost nothing at all. That woudl also help auto balance the server population as well making all servers get used instead of just certain ones.

Not gonna pay for something I cant even log into. People didn't like 1.0 but they were always able to login to 1.0

Yep, seeing people use auto clickers to spam 0 just to log onto your game while they AFK and come back later is silly.

Now I'm just having fun reading the forums but I'll chat here to keep this bumped.

Its just uncalled for in my opinion.

1. If it wasn't total BS.. it would be sad that they believed Patience and understanding is a consumers reaction to poor service.

2. Are people so pacified today that they would read this and come to the conclusion "Hey, everybody else must be ok with it... Maybe I'm the one being a jerk??"

3. It just proves to me that I'm dealing with a situation where no Input is accepted. This statement is only used as an ultimatum, such as, "I HAVE SPOKEN!"

Are they expecting us to pay for this kind of bullshit! I held up till the end of ver. 1 and this is the new kind of crap I am given. 1017, too full to get in!?! No respect at all to the players who supported the game!! They had enough time to get this right and they screw it up!
I bet they make the people who bought the new game able to play instead of the people (legacy) who supported them when others did not, ie: getting the game for free. If that is so, this company is just for the MONEY, forget the loyal players that supported them when things where bad.
I do not think giving more time of free play nor in game things could repair the TRUST I have for this company. I know it is just second day from launch but this is ridiculous!! Why is it that they made several servers in different countries? I thought it was to handle the congestion!! What the fuck!!!
I hope there would be someone who could SUE this company for selling a game that is not playable!
I do not think I can cause I got it for free, but if there is a case, I am in!!!!

Lol beef, i appreciate the free bumps then, everything helps when more are able to see this. I do recall seeing a few statements somewhere from yoshi a while back about the dedication to the player they have and everything is pretty much about us and how we feel things need to be. Infact most of the changes that were made from 1.0 to 2.0 were feedbacks given tot hem by the customer themselves. So its only a matter of time that enough bitch about one thing or another that things get changed, wether or not forced by hand or for better/worse, eventually something will happen and then everyone will see the concequences of the actions.

We can only assume that yoshi lives by his dedication as hes put heartfelt work into his career and the game itself is amazing, easily one of the best mmos on the market atm. But the sheer underexpectance that was given from launch has nearly cripple the initial starting rush of members and purchases they could have had if they had Overplanned rather than underplanned.

What really gets me though is why on earth when the game is selling SO well, would they halt the purchases of digital copies? All it is, is more money in their pocket so they can make more adjustments, upgrades as needed, they are effectively slapping themself in the face atm.

and there is no lawsuit here, they have a EULA to protect against things like that, Wich is completely acceptable. Diablo 3 however was nearly sued for many false advertisements due to packages and things in game that never got released but were printed and shown on covers, gameplay , etc.

This is just to get the support of squeenix and get what is in most need fixed asap. Its clear the 90000 has been fixed, as well as 90% of the 30102 errors and even the duty finder issues, The only prevalent issues we are having now are AFK'ers and Login issues, the AFKers will never be fixed, its unfortunate but its just in there style to keep an idle timer out of the game. They did it on FFXI because it allowed you to progress offline, and if they follow there footsteps then this game may have future content that does that as well, making it a potentially hazardous idea to get involved with.

A queue however, will ALWAYS help, it limits the player usage, limits large spam entrance, and allows everyone a garanteed chance to get in, rather than someone got lucky somewhere. Lets just hope this gets to the right people

I can only agree.

In my opinion, stopping digital sales for an MMO on PC means that something has gone terribly wrong.
You could argue that it may not effect PS3 profits as much, but they had a large advertising push on PSN for well over a month...

Doesn't bode well for a fix so soon when their reaction is so extreme.

It makes you wonder whats actually going on atm lol. Theres so much they have done yet so much that is needed to be done, and i know how hard it is to halt a full release but someitmes its required to take that extra step to ensure the game is infact ready for launch else you could potentially destroy the game and fanbase for future titles. Look at what happened to blizzard on the initial Diablo 3 release, i was there, it was hell, people left, lots of people left. It took them almost a year to recover from releasing when they KNEW they werent ready. With a game like this thats already had a tarnished reputation from 1.0's failure, it will be hard to just simply "lick the wounds" and move on. They gotta raise their standards a bit and expect to put out a little more to get in what they want, its a hard crowd to please, just unfortunate they put it on themselves like they did.

While I agree that forcing the 1017 solution down our throats is not the most delicate of ways to solve a problem, they have effectively solved it. The alternative, regardless of how pissed off everyone is, or may become, is complete instability and inevitable crashes of the currently existing servers. That is the only end result of re-enabling the queue, and that is not a result that anyone wants. Also, adding to a data-center and, moreover, adding to the actual infrastructure required to connect hundreds of thousands of players (most of whom were not anticipated) is not something that can, or should, be done hastily.

We're all pissed and impatient, clearly, but be certain that the quality of this game will make up for SE's lack of foresight in the near future!
