How about adding a option like it was in FFXI to hit F8 to auto target mobs instead of trying to use the D-pad and circle around everyone. F1-F5 is great for your team but what about getting to the mobs faster?

If the pop-up window to donjon party shows up :
- if we were doing the main quest : allow us to cut discussion and cinematics and start again at end of donjon (it happened to me once : i couldn´t join the party before the end of the timer because i couldn´t cut the discussion fast enough + i didn´t pay attention to the discussion and couldn´t play it again after)
- if we were doing a Grand Company quest : allow us to stop it without having a failure quest that cost you 1 permission

Having played WOW for years and now that we know ARR will support addons I'm thinking most of these will be doable with addons. They're all amazing suggestions but leave it for the addons now and let the devs focus on game stability and content. My opinion.
- Add an option to a button that makes traduction of everything in english
(I have the game in French but i often play with english ppl... It would help a lot to speak with them : this option exist in GuildWars 1 & 2)
A option to add other party members summons/pet in the party menu, would make targeting pets for healing much easier
I didn't say anything about removing anything. I said I am unable to target them and it's a problem because as a healer I cannot help heal anyone's pet. I went to my friends house yesterday and with both of us using a gamepad and the same exact settings he could target pets but I could not. This is obviously some sort of bug that needs to be addressed. It basically made me look like a fool yesterday in a dungeon when someone wanted me to heal their pet but I could not and they refused to believe it wasn't some sort of error or "noobiness" on my part...
I’d like to see automatic gear switching with duty finder.
I would hate see this. I see blacklisting people with the simple click of a mouse as anti-social. Reporting players with a click of mouse will cause a lot of unwarranted reports. If someone is worth blacklisting or a report, people will put the effort into it.
And.... we have warcraft.... wonderful :(

That aside, let's say I am anti-social (it's a personality disorder that people actually have, you know). What gives you the right to determine how I have to enjoy the game? If I want to block 200 people in the next 2 days, that's my perogative.
Now for some more tangible information: in the past 2 days I have had to blacklist 11 people. 3 of those were gold-sellers (whom I also manually reported), one a guy who kept stalking me, 4 were from obnoxious guild-spammers and 3 just deserved it. If that's a trend, click-to-blacklist is going to be very handy. Click-to-report, you make a good point, probably not a good idea- OP altered.
Ah, I was not aware of that- great to know we might get alleviation that way. Who knows, with the level of support SE have shown so far, they might even "fix" some of these before mod-support comes in.

Whatever problem you have with That Other Game* does not invalidate the progress it has created/helped create. Most of these suggestions are present in almost every AAA-MMO.
Would you prefer a less player-friendly game, because TOG* has some of these conveniences?

Buying from suppliers, especially as a culinarian, is an absolute nightmare. The list is not in alphabetical order and there is no option to sort or search. So please introduce 1 or both of these functions to help us crafters find what we need from a list of items.

Can you guys also fix filtering? When i set L1+O to 'friends' custom (non party/party players only) and i select anything, it selects carbuncles, when then opens the floodgates for targeting. When set for enemies only it works... then i target the GREEN npcs instead of the OTHER npcs then resets my targeting...
Please fix this asap. Controller play is pretty badass without any target filters active, but it's even better with the option to toggle filters.
*edit* this wasn't an issue for me in the beta but suddenly it is post launch.

Please, Please allow mouse wheel to be bindable, along with modifiers (Shift,alt, ctrl). But let it still scroll text, wow does this very well.
Also space bar to advance text boxes, minor thing but really handy.
I know there are workarounds to use the wheel without it being bindable but they are workarounds.
Item linking in chat! Already mentioned but still.

We know there are some of you out there who may not have seen all of the comments and responses that were provided during the Beta Test, so we'd like to take a moment to catch you up on some of the requests in this thread that we've addressed in the past.
- Gameplay
We're currently placing emphasis on the world and how the characters inhabit it, and talking while on chocobo is prohibited. This is because there is a possibility that the atmosphere of events and such will be destroyed. In Version 1 there was a patch where all UI/chat logs disappeared in cutscenes and you just had the NPC chat box. That doesn't seem to have made it to ARR??. Its hard to appreciate cutscenes when the player chatlogs remain on screen cluttering it up
the manual dismounting is really what easts me up the most. in WoW, dismounting on action is so seamless i guess i kind of expect every game to have this. an ignore feature seems to always take the back seat in every game, but its probably one of the most needed feature among other critical things. auto sort is really useful especially for an inventory system like we have. recommended gear for current class would be very useful since my armory box is almost full to capacity and changing classes puts everything out of order.
Please just get your servers running right.I work construction and have been off since launch after working 12 days straight some days 10 to 12 hours and can't play after 3PM EST?
BTW AGAIN why would you overload Legacy servers with new people if Legacy players can't transfer to a new world...makes ZERO sense..................I myself even though I have friends on Hyperion would be very Happy going to the least populated world so feel free to move my character along so I can actually play the game whenever I want 2.
WOW sux feel free to go back and dismount as much as u like...have a great day ^^ I'm sorry but i'm sick of anyone talking about WOW which was the easiest,carttooniest game that took little skill ever made as for the traveling and getting off automatically would you rather be able to call your mount anywhere in game or have to travel to a certain place to travel...talk about a lame set-up.I'll take the mounts thank you and u can also use the games airships,chocobo and ferries that auto disembark.
With all the launch game issues,server issues and mission quest issues getting off you mount shouldn't be high on SE list of issues....your kidding right?
A numerical display on enemies health bars would be nice. not an important feature but would be nice.
Also a one-click blacklist for people so you could click the chat box and blacklist those annoying gold sellers.

You need to fix how getting revived works in this game. Great how it takes you to the healer, but while you are in the animation of getting revived, you are still open to attack. Too many times in boss fights I get up and helpless to defend myself while stuck in animation. Some people may say to time it right, but then there are healers who use the revive limit break which forces me up which I had died from. Can you please implement it so people are invulnerable till they are back on their feet? I don't believe getting up should be added to already challenging fights.

In beta there WAS an option to select or unselect what is displayed in the duty tracker or "journal". So when it vanished at launch I was shocked. Glad they addressed this but their response looks like it was not a feature before so now I am wondering if I imagined it,
lol no I specifically loved and used that feature often in beta. (And I just went back to check my screenshots and sure enough, there was an option to select and unselect what quests from the journal appear on your screen/duty list. I don't know if its ok to post beta 3 ss so I wont.) Yes please bring this feature back devs ! <3
Implement item comparison. It's in the Settings but it's not highlighted so that we can easily compare stats without backing in and out of the Armoury Inventory and our Character sheet.
How about you guys make the PC version have all of the "memory/hardware limitations" features, just because the ps3 version can't handle it, doesn't mean everyone should suffer. Make graphics on standard = ps3 version and high/maximum = pc version only features, because most computers don't have the ps3 limitations.
quality of life would be inventory AUTO-SORT, bring back the beta phase 3 journal quest tracking on/off switch, bring back selling from retainers like version 1.0 where you can sell a stack but let people buy in singles.
A few things that I noticed that would make the world a little easier to maneuver,
1) Implement a possible function for a "Call to Arms", an example being, there may be a higher than normal/wanted queue for duty's, this may be partly due to system limitations now, but I would also wager a guess that it has a lot to do with the number of DPS Vs. Tank/Healer roles, to potentially alleviate some of the congestion you may offer a reward for those people who fill those roles, such as bonus gil or a high powered potion or even some random vanity items to coax people into wanting to fill those roles for people who are presently refraining from entering the duty finder due to not having any reason to repeat older dungeons.
2) Another thing I would like to see is a history function int he market place, last time I went through there I wasn't able to ID what of mine had actually sold and for how much... Unless I'm blind... (which is mostly true)
Put a sign or text somewhere on all gear that are currently part of any equipment set. I'd like to turn some into materia / sell / throw away, but I can't remember what gear I might use on some job, and putting on all my gear sets, writing the gear names down, and then checking if there is anything left I'm not using is not fun. :)
What do you mean by it impact on the hardware? What hardware? Even Ragnarok online 11 years old online game can have speech-bubbles. Today is year 2013, how can it be hard on the hardware? What hardware? My computer is super strong, maybe your server is too weak? Time to upgrade your server? If it impact on the PS3, please do not add text bubbles on the PS3 but please have it as an optional for PC and PS4.

I would like for the Confirm button on the gamepad to obey the target filter, or at least a setting for this. The current configuration requires me to take my thumb off the joystick all the time when trying to target something quickly.
Want to target a player that's standing either in front of or behind an NPC? Can't press Confirm!
Want to target a friendly NPC behind a monster? Can't press Confirm!
Want to target a monster behind a friendly NPC? Can't press Confirm!
Why can't this strictly follow the current target filter settings, closest to farthest, with everything having equal priority?
I've now completed a total of 3 quests that I could not turn in (yet) because my level was too low. Please do not allow me to start a quest I cannot complete. This is annoying as heck for OCD people like me.
I would like to be able to change the font size of dmg/healing numbers. Also better comparing of gear, like there is for dmg / armor but also for stats would be great :)
