New scholar changes are not great

I mean yes, I agree with this as well. It clearly leaned more into priestly stuff because it is on a healer class.

But I still hold that an "angel" fantasy that players might actually want to play would fit far better on Paladin for a number of reasons. Not least of which is the fact that Paladin has kind of been struggling to further develop an identity for itself past Confiteor sword chains.

But the thing Paladin would add to an angel fantasy that Scholar can't is making it a badass. Instead of being an effete nun, a Paladin angel mode would lean more into righteous vindication. Which...may be a bit cliche, but is definitely a popular RPG job archetype and would actually synergize with PLD.

Hold it right there, kind sir. Don't drag paladin to this travesty. Let's just agree that the transformation is omega ugly and does not need to exist.

To be clear, i do not think a Paladin angel transformation would look like that. It would likely have a lot of armor and more badass wings, kind of like a mini Alexander.

Even if it looked badass, some people really like their glamour and this transformation will get on the way.

Personally I would want Innocence's wings only.
In my ideal world this would be a magic phase and we would have the old physical paladin back but thats not gonna happen.
The only thing we can wish for now is that this gets a toggle for scholar.

The main issue with having wings is that it covers a lot of space. Imagine a SMN summoning Bahamut at max size? Don't tell me that a good majority of its horizontal space isn't its wings. If only there's a way to toggle the wings off of Temperance without putting all effects off, I'd want it. For Passage of Arms, it is understandable as the wings isn't there for aesthetics, but it is a way to show the area where to stand.

Now that we ve seen the look of the seraphism model, you could have told me that was the new AF armor for white mage and I would have believed you.

Out 100 skill allows us to literally cosplay as a WHM for 20 seconds, including a party wide regen, and instant AoE/Single target pure heals.

The GCD amplifiers are just a bonus at that point. One thing that really bothers me is how this allows a limited window of pure heal spamming on a friggin' barrier healer. Why are they making the distinction from first place then?

Not to mention the fact that you'll be out of MP faster than ever.

Now that SCH is the new WHM mechanically and aesthetically on demand why would you ever bring a WHM to content.
