Except GW2 is overhyped. And every single person that I know has stated that it's a very underwhelming game, from the beta testing.

Nothing we haven't seen before. Couldn't even access the Concept Art <error message>. Hopefully this is just the leadin to soon to be opened site "A Realm Reborn". BTW, tell me Rukirii, what did that poor Dragoon do to make you so mad, swipe your pretty red bow?

I hope so. What they have now isn't anything they had to wait this long after E3 to put up....an amateur website-maker could have made that in a few hours since all it is is the pictures they already have readily available. I'm not trying to hate, but...man... =/

Hope for a weekend update after japan expo.. sweet site though.

It will be updated and changed as new info comes out, the original teaser site for FFXIV (tanaka era) was pretty bare bones too when it launched. Had the E3 trailer, and a couple concept pieces. Then week or two later they added the pages for the 3 city states (with like nothing in them other then concept art), world intro, armory page and guild leve. My guess is wait till after this weekend with Yoshida in Paris. If nothing else its a start and at least now we know where to go to get updates. If nothing comes out in Paris, I don't honestly expect much new to be added till 1.23 is just around the horizon. All things told we still don't know exactly what is going to happen with Dalmud and they seem conscious about spoiling it right now.

Yeah, I remember the other website and how it progressed. To be quite honest, I was never really impressed with the site before, either. It just seemed to be lacking. But it's probably because I've been spoiled with wiki's, moogleboxes, etc etc...that are just full of information.

And I'm trying to keep in mind that this is just a teaser site, and not an info site.

I expect new trailer and OST in the Teaser Site by 7-8th of July. That's the day of Tokyo Game show. I expect the new FF14 trailer also...

I suspect absolutely nothing between now > Alpha to be honest lol. Even the old XIV teaser website had info on things that never came into play or changed. This one is not THAT much of a teaser since this is just E3 pics in a fancy navigation. Also yes, TGS is September.

This is Just 1 site a not ment to have much in it.. but to "tease" people who haven't seen it yet.. the Promo site is arealmreborn.com

If by disliking the game you mean, not having the opinion that the game is in "Release State" and equal footing with quality MMO that are out right now, then Sure! I do not find the game in it's current state to be "Release Worthy."

As far as the wow thing, i do not play wow for over 2 years, do i defend them ? Dunno if saying they are a successful MMO company and that they have the pulse of the market is defending then yeah i guess i do, but i don't blindly defend anything, not even Xenogears and that is the greatest RPG ever created :)

So the site is up, and it only shows the picture the media were already given. Ok, so we wait. What's the big deal either way on this?

The fate of FFXIV can still go either way, though I for one think that SE's determined not to let it die regardless. Is it so hard to just not take sides and not get full of ourselves on every single little matter?

I would of expected them working on the site 1-2 month prior to E3 or whenever they had planned the original release date of the website. Some friends I know still going crazy over GW2... I was kind of looking forward to GW2 at initial release of the video's and all the goodies but as I saw the closed beta stuff and images my friend showed me I wasn't interested any more lol.

He said in the recent producer letter that some of the stuff we should expect to see 'after' the site goes up includes videos. I'm wondering if we had another occurrence similar to E3 where they planned to have it come out soon after, got momentarily delayed, and when they realized they had nothing to put in there as an update for a bit, decided to delay it till shortly before they could/would update it. They might have released the site now just to make sure it was working in all regions before getting it ready for this weekends Anime Expo. As we can see the NA part of the site is still having issues XD.

Meh. I kinda wish they had put different images on it, especially after promising a "barrage" of new information. Though I suppose they did have to formally introduce the new images.

Also; Please stop hating on GW2 for no particular reason. I get that you feel the need to fanboy up to XIV for whatever reason (all MMO players are the same sadly) but there's no need to hate on a well polished game.

Just think how you feel when people say pointless baseless shit about XIV.

SEE THE TIMETABLE which they have posted a year ago in pdf. there you can read AUGUST : release of the trailer, starting the campaign. everything within this timetable was actually within the planned time.


READ... you have to wait about a month for the trailer then.

Site is up now. Wasn't for me earlier, it was the original site, now it looks totally different.

Well if anything there IS something on the page we haven't seen yet that being the blue crystal on the side and whatever field seems to be near the bottom of the page (Both taken from the CG trailer I'd assume) So we got something.

Its been Exactly 1 month from the time they said "Soon After E3" 6/5/12 - 7/5/12, but really the site isn;t my main concern as a player.. its the 2.0 Beta I'm most look ing forward too and Gamescom in which they will show off alot of stuff about 2.0.

Ya but this is part of their advertisement. It's terrible, they should have waited to launch it if that's all they got. They should have had 100 screenshots at least 2 videos and other information about 2.0. Site is terrible. They waited a month to launch what we already have seen, it's really disappointing.

"Teaser" not "Promo" once you understand that.. then you know why your seeing what you already seen.. its for "Newcomers" Mostly

2 sites are being displayed 1 Teaser (this) and 1 Promo ( at Augusts Marketing Campaign). I wasn't expecting much.. if you thought you were getting alot of info or some even.. you are mistaken.
