It’s kinda funny when they dance on top of downed players. Take it as a compliment. If you’re good and hard to kill. When they finally get ya they just celebrating themselves. That’s all. It means you’re good.
The direction this conversation has gone, has in a way proved my point. We can all agree there is emotion in these exchanges, correct?
Imagine how much better things would be if we stayed on track and focused on the matter at hand, be it cc or discussing how to make it better. Hmm?
Yes, let's act negatively to someone we don't know. It's not on us to assess the personal situation of every individual on the Internet right? After all, willful indifference and apathy is the true core theme of this entire community. So yeah, you wanna take pleasure in another's pain? Go for it, par for the course. I, however, will never revel in another's suffering. It's disgusting.
I thought it might be nice to add one counter argument to this since I haven't seen anyone mention it previously. But aside from the toxic emote spam, emotes can be used strategically a couple of other ways:
To boost the morale of your team by using a well placed emote after an incredible play.
To inflict psychological damage on an opponent, effectively taunting them and goading them into focusing on you (this is great especially if youre playing a low priority job and you want to free up your AD carry to do more for your team).
These are just a few ways I use them and encourage others I mentor to use them. But there are other ways you can get creative. These are just a couple I havent seen mentioned.
Please stop i'm gonna melt again like the fragile snowflake that I am.
Yeah you're totally right actually, why didn't I think of it, why try to make things better when it's how it's always been! I don't even know how I didn't think of that earlier
Thank you for the nice sophistry though. I like how getting rid of something that's just annoying (and punished by the TOS for starters) suddenly turns into getting rid of something that you cannot survive in real life with. Slippery slope much?
Naaah, just blame the victims. Who cares about their fragile egos. Oh hey, wait a minute, what is whining about losing the 5y old schoolyard bully smacktalk privilege if not a display of incredibly fragile ego?
Hoenstly they should remove the ability to kill other players in pvp, its pretty toxic.
I SUGGEST: Add a mode where you need to throw flowers at your enemy. The one with the highest amount of targets, wins.
in a game where they suggest rape, global annihilation, suicide, mass murderer, genocide, regicide, dragon sex, infanticide, abuse of good will, lalafells, etc...we can't have such thing as people having fun virtually killing each other.
If you can pay attention to people emoting... you're not paying enough attention to the actual match lol
I've never even noticed anyone jumping on me? When you die you should be looking at the momentum and decide if a reminder to fall back is needed, not looking at your corpse.
Lmao, dude gave up after realizing they are not gonna ever convince us that emoting on somebody is bad.
grow a spine please k thx bye.
Depends on the usage. Most complained about examples fall under the Taunting Behavior category that Yoshi went over at the beginning of Endwalker. It's amusing to me that he game is closing on ten years of service and they still think the community outside JP can be trusted with an honor system.
