I still strongly suspect, as with most posts of this kind of thing, that there is more to this than we are being told. perma bans are generally not lightly levied against an account, especially in FFxiv, usually its a "vacation" from the game

my guess is going to be, as someone else said I think, RMT related. the fact they fell asleep while using a mouse macro was likely coincidental.

but in the end, we will never really know

But you know, the support center didn't wanna hear what I said. They just sent me trash message to reply me useless answers.

In short, you got yourself banned by using a third party tool, and yes GMs DO know which and how and how the game they work with works out... if you did not reply in your activities then they could easy see the logs of what you are doing, so you banned yourself.

But let it be a lesson in not using automated software that does not cope with how the ingame macros work....

They would probably had overlooked if you did something else, with some of the other prohibited activities, but since you scored in own goal they just added the other ones to it as well, their judgement is fair on the Mouse macro thing or botting activity, it is simply if you do not reply to them while doing certain options, theny they know what you are doing.

They have explained the "Cheating and Botting". It's doubtful it's something they've only done once as they made it sound like a normal activity. It's possible they've been warned against this in the past. We can't know.

But what about the violated of the Registered Users rule? OP makes no attempt to explain that. Was it account sharing, such as piloting to get their Ultimate clear? Did they purchase the account from the original owner? Was it something else that violated the Registered Users provisions? We don't know.

There's also the reference to additional Prohibited Activities, though that is vague. OP hasn't mentioned other things they might have done that are against the EULA and/or TOS.

All they talk about is "mouse macro" like that's the only thing that happened.

Could be they were asked to leave this one active as a warning to players that SE is actively targeting player accounts using automation and not just accounts belonging to the RMT vendors. Hard to say.

Botting as a Limsa Thot will get you reported. Do all your stuff in the privacy of your house. They can see what you have done in the log, it's not like they just assumed.

I also guess it was GM sent tells to me, but I didn't answer(fell asleep). Then, GM took me to jails and asked something, but I still didn't have any answers. After that GM probably checked other reports, been sure I broke some rule actually. Then, GM decided to give me a perma ban. I know mouse macros broke rules. I just cannot figure out how many other rules I broke that made GM gave me a perma ban.

I can promise I haven't told any person my account informent because of I have OTP. It is really troublesome to give OTP to the other one every time when they log in. Even though I think it's a joke to spend money on ultimate clear, because I cleared each of them above 15 times. So I don't know how I broke register user rule.

The PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES I could only figure out it was "Ignoring a Game Master (GM)'s instructions". Because I was sleeping, so GM probably was talking with me, but I didn't answer.

That suggests , to me at least , that you have account shared multiple times in the past , and realised that giving this other person your OTP every time they need to log in is a pain in the backside so you gave up sharing your account OTP, and during investigation of a report received (probably the afk crafting) that SE have detected different locales using your log in info and have added that to the reason for a perma ban.

If the GM took you to jail and see the same functions in game being clicked by ways only possible by a third party automation utility or program, then it it would not matter if you had been there or NOT... you would still had gotten the boot.

You automated your character turning it into a bot - giving you an unfair advantage over other legitimate players. Need pots but don't want to spend the time crafting them? Hire someone else to do it for you, or just buy them off the Marketboard. Bots ruin the economy since they provide labor at virtually zero cost.
The issue isn't that you got a harsh punishment. The issue is that all the other offenders aren't getting that same harsh treatment.

Admittedly - if what you told us is the full extend of the story - that is an unusually harsh punishment, but it's something I welcome and would like to see more of.

I think my expression seems to have caused your misunderstanding. I just said that if I want to share the account to anyone, I have to open the OTP app every time. This is very troublesome for me.(such like everytime I go mog station to buy some glam, and I have to type my OTP again and again, that's really annoying me.) And I also hate giving my account to anyone because I don't trust them at all.

This is a new account they're posting from. The character has leveled up some of their jobs/classes in the last 3 days.

So it could still be an issue for them if they haven't learned their lesson. From the way they're talking, I suspect they haven't.
