The Seraph city experience can be... unusual... for those not used to it. I've had a few interesting encountering while in Seraph Limsa trying to reach people in the hunt community.

Considering the game mostly takes place outside of the cities, I don't see that as a reason to be unhappy on a world. Just don't hang out in the cities.

Queue times I don't know about yet. I've spent most of my time helping get the hunt community organized and rolling, and the rest getting my various characters settled in (apartments set up, inventory sorted and items on the marketboard etc). I'll get a better idea of that once I'm working on MSQ for my characters again.

Just for reference sake. Lucky Bancho's latest census put Balmung and Mateus at 34,000 active characters—nearly a full 10k higher than most of all Aether servers, and more popular than every single Materia server combined. NA has been absolutely bursting and could have actually used the fourth DC. Oceania is, sadly, something of a failed experiment.

I can't see them moving a whole server to OCE though. That'll upset far more people than it will benefit. It also doesn't work as they discovered with Crystal. They had to repeatedly lock out Aether to stop being from flooding right back to their preferred DC.

Would love to help if I could but but I'm down to a single cwl with room left and I'm trying to keep it reserved for late night/early morning players (though you're more than welcome to join it if that's when you're playing). We've asked Centurio about the possibility of setting a new role that can handle cross data center train relays during the off peak hours since trains at those times tend to be rare. They're looking into ways to try to set it up.

Best bet is to ask around for a cwl if you attend a train or S rank. Otherwise, we're encouraging everyone to use either Centurio Hunt or Faloop Discords for relays. We're trying to make certain relays go out on both since the NA data centers have been split between using them.

It was the same for Materia for a while until things settled down.

Everyone's just socializing and not actually playing the game. Things do improve, Luckily Seraph has access to other DC's to go do content.

So far I'm enjoying the new DC far more than Materia, See how things go, just glad i can DC travel to Aether to PVP/Raid

Seraph = Extroverts & Limsa group concerts (I'll admit I got stuck at one for a whole hour just buying from their MB)
All 3 of the others = Introverts as suspected.
It's quite nice on Maduin. Halicarnasus seems to be the more popular introvert lair with lots of DOH/DOL stuff happening.


Anything is better than Balmung (My 1.0 server) & Mateus (Biggest server move mistake Ive made)

The "You In" only seems to be there in Ruin, Bedouin, and Bruin.

Partner and I got LB 46/47 as a pair. Couldn't be happier with it and it feels like we have our own corner of the ward to ourselves. Calling it "our estate" with the medium being our main house and the small our guest.

Those are two lovely plots to have as a couple :) Grats!

On Maduin, it feels like 100% of the people who placed a bid got their home. Every plot I checked personally just for fun had NO competition on them, and all of them had at least 1 bid. We got a Large on plot 60 in Empy, very happy day today for this server as a whole I wager! (Never seen such politeness with bids on a server before honestly, people went out of their way to not double bid)
This coming from mateus where each home had 5-600 bids each time, its freaking euphoric.

Ours had 2 bids but it was me + wife bidding to be sure we got it, apparently that was overkill lol

I have to know why all the excitmeny over Dynamis? I mean I was excited that finally more houses went up for sale from transferring people. But overall why?

My friend got super lucky. She won the same plot as yours on her Maduin character.... and then went on to win a longshot bid on a medium in Balmung as well!

I also tried for that plot and did not win.
But I'm in no position to complain, as my ambitious bids on a small, medium, and large on the other 3 Dynamis servers paid off. I just bid on the plots early on, but as I expected, competition joined in for every single one of my lotteries. I was pleasantly surprised that 3 out of the 4 lotteries rolled a 1.

It's for two reasons imo: the idea of helping a new datacenter take shape & housing since all five districts were completely fresh with new plots.

It was pretty much insanely easy to get a house, there are still smalls and mediums up for bid on my server even now. So a lot transferred just for that.

The LB 11/41 went into 3's but yeah, on SS tier it's expected. I really did notice how Maddy was great for people being nice. The mood in my new ward was awesome as people took their homes. I quite like Maddy. It's a good server with many nice people.

I got my favorite Med Spot in Empy! Marilith here, and people were very respectful of biddings too! I had a sweet interaction with another player when I was placing my bid on the Med. Told them the same plot in the subdivision was unclaimed thus far, wished each other good luck, and they went to place their bid over there.

They got their med too! Very very happy for them!

Mist waterfront on Halicarnassus! Quite a few plots sold in my ward already. This sure isn't Materia.

Thank you. And grats on getting LB 41 (the superior choice, thanks to those sunsets). The large is in Seraph of all places. Decorating a large feels a bit daunting, so I figured I would pick the one where I had the biggest chance of losing and let fate decide if I should decorate a large. Fate has decided that I must get to work XD.

I'm super excited about the Goblet plot too. Even though Goblet tends to rank lowest in popularity, I feel that the poolside medium and poolside small next to the waterfall are two of the best plots across all wards.

The beachfront cottage is definitely gonna be fun to play with. I feel my apartment decorating style translates best to small houses, which have virtually identical item density.

As for my failed attempt at a Lavender Beds 41, in round 2 I'm just gonna try to grab an unremarkable small plot in the same ward as a friend.

I was on Leviathan for 6+ years and said to myself I was never going to leave, but I made the decision to transfer to Maduin. It's been great so far! Everyone is super nice.
