Yeah, I've been trying to stay behind all of my rares so far. It just makes sense to me, whether it actually makes a difference or not. Even if it doesn't, it just feels right.

Just got twinklefleece on the first hit with the 'makes sense' method. :D
This Paissa I swear...It's making want to drive its entire species to extinction. Most times, I get one or two attempts before it runs away. Tonight? 17 nets in one spawn window, nearly 2 hours ET. 17. I'll let that sink in for a minute. I started with 14 and had to go gather more materials in a hurry. And it still ran away. I hate this game sometimes.
Finally got my Goobbue, which means I already have all the rare animals in my pasture. For the sake of simply trying out, I did the "sneaky squeaky"-method one last time (I ain't gonna capture anything else once I have all!).
They smoked 26 of my soporific before I got tired and just run up close to throw the 27th... only to finally subdue him, lol.
Just spam click.
Usually it’s the time spent when you need to craft more after you run out of traps in mid of hunting that eats away the limited time. I missed the alligator several times thanks to only managed to catch their 3m windows & was unwilling to craft more than I needed… turns out that sucker smoked a total of 45 soporifics across 5 spawn windows before they finally convinced to come along… yeah, at that moment I wasn’t going to let bad luck make me waste more time stopping & crafting vs actually trying to capture. : pensive :
End result I have 8 soporifics left unused. Oh well, that’s a small price I had to pay for my impatience.
I agree. Capturing these rare animals is just an effort in annoyance rather than fun due to the RNG of the capture rate and weather.
It does and everyone's mileage varies. For me, I failed enough with the sneaky sneaky method that I just started running right in up their faces and apparently it startled them into compliance. For the paissa, I just landed right on him and got him first try. It seems only when I try to treat them like Eureka mobs that I have any issues. Only got the alligator left thankfully, unless I want to have a spare of a couple.
The paissa still eludes me. I decided to give it a rest for a bit until I get my resources back up. I've definitely used more nets on this one than I have all the other combined and then some. I have to be around 50 at this point.
