How do you feel when you buy a mount at the mog station

That's the important thing yea. I'm not a fan of cash shops in general, monetization can at most be a necessary evil afterall. Most games that have them are designed around them in one way or another. Thinking before buying is the smart thing to do but with how much the advertisment industry is trying to get us to do the exact opposite it is neither surprising that many people dont nor is it entirely the fault of the individual. We are all affected by ads in some way. Many people dont realize that especially when they think themselves invincible.

It'll also buy you a shot and half of top shelf liquor. I see you still think it's about the acquiring and not the using. For 15-30 dollars I get a thing I can use for years to come. Or I can go up the space needle in seattle, potentially with a guest.. or I can buy gas for one or two days of work. Things are worth what they're worth to people. You don't get to tell others what they value or how to enjoy things.

I have never been proud of a video game achievement. I play them for entertainment and sometimes escapism. I think the idea it's some sort of laudable thing to "earn" a video game chotchsky one way over another is dribble. Either the thing is fun or it's not. Find joy in the journey if you like but leave others out of it. They are no greater or lesser for their journey being different.

Is the Mogstation ok ? Hell no.
I read the earnings from SE and oh boy the Mogstation is not needed at all. Its just a surplus and in my opinion no money "what-so-ever" from the Mogstation is used for FF14. Instead it goes direct to SE and they do other stuff with it.
To behave and say "you cant change this so stop complaining" or "everybody does this, so its ok" is your decision but stop enforcing your view on others. In my Opinion is SE greedy as hell and the game would be better without the Mogstation.

Anyways , im off back to my local alleyway in Uldah . Us peasants and common folk gotta stick together. We got streets to sweep and lordly hosts to serve drinks to and mouths to feed . Its back breaking work but someone's gotta do it.

I’ve played the game a while and buy mounts from the shop and it really is just a matter of whether I like the mount enough or not. I don’t mind paying money for something if I feel like I’m going to use it and enjoy it and I’m not spending money that I should be using on other responsibilities first.

I feel fantastic. In fact, I feel so fantastic buying mounts, emotes, and outfits from the Mog Station that I often even do giveaways for people who can't afford Mog Station stuff. Why? Because I make enough money that it doesn't matter to me and it cheers me up and cheers up a stranger.

I bought 3 of the street wear outfits and the Shiba mount the day of. -shrug- Didn't feel a thing.

As probably one of the older players, at least in the group I hang with, let me impart a bit of old-man wisdom to you. Pull up your chairs kids!

It doesn't matter what other people think! Don't spend your time afraid to get that piece of glam or that mount from the mogstation for fear of what some total random stranger might think. If it makes *you* happy then it's worth every cent. If those things aren't for you then don't buy them, but don't berate those that get enjoyment from them. That's just mean, man.

I play for me and me alone. If someone doesn't like the fact that I'm zooming around on the Fat Cat or Motorcycle mount that's on them. I'm happily going about my virtual day having a blast.

I mostly don't mind cash shop mounts. For one thing, a ton of them are just "this mount was available in a previous seasonal event; that event is gone, but if you didn't get it in-game at the time, you can pick it up in the cash shop now"; I actually think that's not the worst way to handle no-longer-available seasonal content, as opposed to "sorry, you weren't playing around New Year's of 2016, you can't ever get that now".

The majority of the ones that aren't old seasonal stuff are random stuff like a paissa.

I recognize it wouldn't be easy to retroactively add to the Alexander savage raids, and adding a mount to an Ultimate fight (e.g. TEA) would've been unprecedented. But I think of all the mounts on the Mog Station, that's one I would've preferred to have seen a way to get in-game. Even if it was only temporary, with some sort of event, and then went on the cash shop after the event was done, a'la any other temporary seasonal event's reward.

Don't get me wrong, I bought that thing the instant it hit the cash shop, and have no regrets about doing so. But I think if there's anything on the cash shop I would've preferred to be obtainable in game, it would be that one mount.

I feel good about it. I wanted it. I had the money for it. I bought it and enjoy it in-game. Bing. Bang. Boom.

Honestly? Nah, the spriggan mount doesn't bother me that much; I don't recall threads begging for a spriggan mount prior to its introduction.

For me that's the perfect exemple of something that was meant to be in game but ended up in the cash shop instead. But yeah for other reasons the cruise chaser is a disgrace too mainly because the assets were already in game.

Bought the Nezha Chariot , it looked extremely silly in person, so I only used it about 4 times. Won't buy any more mounts, since I have one I like and use it 99.9% of the time.
