Monopoly is the reason why my cousins and I don't attend to family reunions.
I think a large part of the problem is that there are a significant number of people who:
A) Lie about their feelings. ("I'm hard! I don't feel sad or anxious. Sticks and stones! Grow thicker skin!")
B) Have a mental illness blocking them from experiencing feelings (psychopathy, sociopathy)
C) Have a mental illness blocking them from empathy and/or sympathy (sociopathy)
D) Are brought into the world and subsequently raised by parents who suffer from A, B and/or C, above.
People feel things. And don't tell me the internet isn't "real communication," because there actually was a time when written communication was all we had for non-verbal. It had weight for thousands of years, and words and written communication still have weight now. Written letters carry no emotion? Books carry no emotion?
Knowing this, we should be kinder to others. Barring that kindness, though, rules have to be put in place to guard against those who are part of the mess of A, B, C and D, above.
I see the faerie finally snapped again.
Somewhat hilarious it happened to be in a thread made by a guy constantly whinging about 'us vs. them' crap, be it 'hardcores vs. casuals' or 'NA vs. EU' or whatever. Even more hilarious when that guy advocates for people to be crappy to each other in PvP. Sorry, thought PvP fell under your 'hardcore' designation, champ?
So I can't figure if OP if posting ironically or attempting to sound like a strawman of certain groups. His views are too unhinged to be legit and reeks of previous troll style posts that have actually been missing for a bit.
op is a isolationist in video games
I understand taking actions against obnoxious behaviour, like spamming good game or marking team members you don't like. However, grouping together a little bit of banter with emotes (or using a fireworks) after defeating an opponent is silly.
To me the problem there is getting tilted for something so small and then acting like a karen about it.
I wonder what will be next.
I am a bit afraid to play PvP now, because my internet randomly drops sometimes. I was just trying to play and it dropped in the middle of a match. I am afraid I will get reported for "grief tactics" or something again. I have called my internet provider over and over, for the past few months, had a technician out here - even replace the wire in the ground, replaced my modem, and they still haven't fixed it. I already have a warning for "grief tactics", and I know how report happy people are.
I've played in 2 matches the 1st I didn't have my power tray set up and was completely clueless, but the team still won in spite of me. The 2nd time I had my power tray fixed and we were winning and then we started losing and the other team was pushing the thingy to our side and just before they got it to the finish line I darted over and got in front of the thingy and put up a shield and threw all my self heals at it. Time ran out and we won and I got 2 commendations. It was fun.
I love it when you post
Well, I know I loaded back into a loss tonight, and the last two times I disconnected over the past week, I am pretty sure I loaded into losses. I'm afraid somebody is going to blame me on the loss, and report me out of spite. I have no way of knowing when it's going to disconnect.
Meh, a little trolling in PvP is fine. Can't handle it, don't play PvP. Got t-bagged on I don't know how many times while playing my now very ancient Metal Gear Solid 4 Online game. Even got into a fight with some random chick because I sucked so bad and dam near died every time I even took a single step out into the battle zone.
Lmao, good f*cking times... I miss that game. :'<
Anyways, not really taking a side. Because it seems this is more for the Japanese side of the game and less so for the Western half, considering their culture is more focused on conformity and being polite. Just stating my own opinion. You may proceed to flame me now~ x3
P.S, I only pop in to play the matches. Never tried trolling because I personally could care less to do so. Just there to try to win a game and kill as many people with my Black Mage as humanly possible before someone finally "headshots" me, lmao!
I also want my wolf sheckles.
I leave for half a day and someone goes and snaps. Smh my head
Dude, this thread is so weird... Like, what?
It's surreal.
Pretty funny how this person is convinced that everyone else needs to accept that people gets to be jerks in PVP because that's what PVP is for (regardless of what other players or the developers want) and then throws a fit when people argue with them on an internet forum
There are current posts from Yoshi regarding the housing issues, with multiple followups. https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodes...325a133ef8216a
This angry Lalafell is way too spicy for consumption...
my man there are absolutely three separate posts from yoshida from housing before that stop being a whiny child.
Tbh I feel like the update to the ToS lately more and more leans towards being so afraid of hurting anyone, even those that are way too sensitive, that everyone else has to adjust around snowflakes and shut up. Don't coddle the sort of player who would flip because someone danced a bit on his body after beating him in PvP, because that sort of player needs to grow up a bit and not take everything to heart, that will actuallly benefit both them and the people around them.
