First of all almost every job change in Endwalker is a shit show. (SMN, SAM, MCH, WHM...)
I as a former Samurai main your opinion of removal of kaiten being a good thing is "wrong", if you can't double weave kaiten or third eye just play another job as simple as that. That's why variety of jobs exist.
The SAM class was already in a good spot... Easy to get the basics down to complete most contents and had a high optimization ceiling.
The kaiten skill was an important action for the SAM job. Why?
First of all now the gauge might as well not exist because its just a shinten gauge not needing to optimize the gauge depending on when you get AST cards and other buffs (because you dont need to save the gauge for kaiten)
Secondly the many played SAM for the cool looking animations and the romance of the big numbers. Now we have neither, Midare with BiS doing almost similar damage as WAR's Inner chaos, and losing the animation which seemed as if you were winding up for a big damaging skill.
Lastly for SAM changes this is not kaiten but for Tekka goken why did the dev team make it into a circle AoE. Because of this change there are times where you cant use Tekka Goken optimally for example in The Epic of Alexander Ultimate: Living Liquid, for jagd dolls you were able to delay your opener to the jagd doll as a first feed BECAUSE IT WAS A CONE AOE which reached the hand, body, and the doll.
I really don't get where the dev team is going with this game, simplifying jobs which doesn't need any. Making it more brain ded as a game. Might as well NOT even release savage and ultimates at this point and simplify every job so I can quit this game. Jesus Christ. *sigh*
