Oooh, pretty weapons....That bow will look nice in my collection. As well as that THM Staff. Not sold on the WHM Staff, but maybe after closer inspection!

I like how the manifest magic, or look more vibrant and alive when you draw them out.

I think I will need to go get many more seals now!

yeahj i just noticed finaly a 1 handed wand for whm in garuda drop..wich is good so i can us stats on a shield :) , still i think daggers /crit attack weapons were a great addon.. i rather used those as a slow sword because of the crit attack bonus and they were a lot faster.

That CNJ weapon looks like its strait out of Dynasty Warriors, and that bow... OMG :D

I commend SE for the new gear but i have to voice my opinion on this since its my fav job so far..
What's the deal with the pug weapons? They only seem to be getting worse and uglier with time.
I don't mind the look of other weapons so much, not the best looking.. but meh, variety i guess. The mage weapon with blue orb looks rather cool.. esp with the orbit effect, thats nice. Bow is nice too.

But Pug really could use some attention.. brick is not a weapon except in some street fight that got ugly.. even the shape is horrendous, joke of a weapon.
just when we thought ifrit horns and mog fists were oversized or silly looking, this comes along.
Come on SE.. surely you can be more creative than that =/ i say scrap it off and re-design.

Anyone want to bet the Thm/Blm staff is gonna suck too?

you're probably correct, these weapons are likely for classes not jobs. Differentiating them from Garuda + Job weapons.

Needs to turn into a sword too.

Now we will have to start referring to our characters as toons.

I have a Malevalent Mogwand for CNJ/WHM that is one handed as well as an Ifrit's Cudgel for THM/BLM that's one handed not to mention my Electrum Scepter with Mag Acc materia on it that is also....you guessed it...one handed. And they all go very well with my Aubrpiests Whisper and Gridanian Shield TYVM.

I don't get why people complain stuff looks to 'cartoon'-ish. What's bad about that? This is Final 'Fantasy'. If I want more realistic stuff, I'll probably play other games...
I'm happy we finally get some funny looking weapons/gear! :)

Oh dear pgl, what are you holding. Maybe they'll look a bit less ridiculous on something that isn't taru. I liked the moogle fists because they were meant to be ridiculous and fun.

These are just ridiculous and ugly looking. It looks like the crafter couldn't be bothered to chisel/sculpt the weapon.

They generally scale to size, so they will probably look just as crazy on other races.

It'd be interesting to see. :) Guess, we gotta wait.

Not sure how I feel about these being class specific weapons... unless this is the "class AF" patch, and gives us some really cool unique class-specific armor for all of the classes, (including DoH, DoL, etc.)

If so, perhaps there will be a compelling reason to use classes, what with the potential of a whole set of new class gear. But I can't help but feeling like these will be novelty items. Guess I'll just cross my fingers there's something cool looking in terms of armor, but not hoping for anything anyone actually wants to use outside of novelty/town gear.

While I'm okay with the PGL weapons, they really need to get someone new for us. Ifrit weapons are ugly, Moogle weapons are silly (though I still love them). Now we get glowing blocks? We could have gotten new claws with retractable blades like the rest or something.

You are spot on bro these are class only weps. I hope they make skills that classes can use solo only or class only skills in the future also. As much as ppl can solo on jobs classes still do it better solo for 2hrs straight on pgl none stop farming black pearls..

How dare a fantasy game have fantasy oriented gear! The nerve of them. Here's 2 gil so you can buy yourself a clue. Try looking at other FF games, they aren't all that realistic. Getting all butthurt because a fantasy game has fantastical looking gear is beyond asinine.

And it's made of iron.... IRON. A 5+ foot long, 2 foot wide sword made of Iron. Seems pretty realistic to me.
