I play on an ultra wide monitor, 3440x1440. I have lot of screen space. Could we get more then 10 hotbars?
I dislike digging though menus to get to things.

This would likely apply to anyone using 4k or 8k!!!

Can we have the glamour dresser expanded to 1000 slots and 30 plates minimum?
A few questions:
1.) While not completely in the realm of UI alone, would it be possible to implement toggles to show or not show persistent visual effects on our characters? Things like some stances or "permanent" effects like the tracking effects on gatherers can be very distracting and hurt the visual appearance of the game. It's important to have the information that they are active but it would be nice if we could see that without the large constantly animated visual effect.
2.) With the recent expansions of gpose, and the trend for players to want to share their in game experiences, would it be possible to out some sort of show form video output to gpose so that players could record 5 or 10 seconds of video without needing external hardware or software?
3.) With players able to go back through older zones to revisit content on jobs at various points in their levelling range it can be hard to keep track of exactly what level range of contact is available in each zone. Would it be possible to update the in game map to include this information? It would be nice to see this on the general map of an area (for example Ahm Araeng - Fields of Amber Level 70, Amh Araeng - Central Fields of Amber Level 76) and would also be helpful for specific icons that don't currently function as "mouse over" targets such as Levemetes. If it can't be added to the map, could it possible be added to the mouse over for an Aetheryte along with the teleport cost?
Hi, could you please add the option to move solo duty actions on the cross hotbar to the left instead of the right? This might also apply to special mount actions or any other hotbars where the actions cannot be moved in the cross hotbar and are instead kept on the right side.
Would it be possible to split the HP/MP UI so that each can be placed individually. Also could we get the same option to split the primary Crosshotbar to allow each side to be placed seperately.
1. I've noticed there's no way to /macroicon any actions in the General or Extra tabs of the Abilities and Spells window, like for the Challenge Log, Companion shortcuts, or for Group Pose. Could you please add those as a /macroicon category?
2. I'm levelling my ranged physical DPS right now, and I've noticed it's a hassle to keep track of the DoTs I've applied as a Bard, particularly in AOE situations. Can you add an indicator to the Bard's Job Gauge which tracks how many / which debuffs I have active on enemies?
3. Will we ever get the ability to reskin the UI without breaking the Terms of Service? I'm not talking about changing the way any of the information is displayed, I'm talking about the appearance of existing UI elements, similar to the recent addition of a "Light" theme. For example, I'd love for all my UI windows to have the same background as the Glamour Plate window, or add custom textures to HP/MP gauges.
Extracting materia's looks the same as removing them .
can we at least get the notification in extracting materia's removed , cuz all the time i think i am removing materia's rather than extracting them
Regarding the blacklist, the friend list, and Player Search features
Some of us have had very distressing experiences with other players, and reporting them for harassment several times and blacklisting them has proven inefficient.
At the moment:
- If you delete someone from your friend list, you still appear in theirs until they have removed you from theirs.
- The same applies to people you have blacklisted.
- Anyone can find where you are through Player Search.
- The same applies to people you have blacklisted.
- Blacklist only applies to a character and not an account, so a person you blacklisted can create a new character in a few minutes, use Player Search to find you, and harass you again.
- Blacklisted people can't join a party you created in Party Finder, but they can join someone else's, or join your instance in roulettes.
- While you can't see blacklisted people's messages in chat, you can still see emotes being made towards them. ("X gently pats [Blacklisted Person].")
Which means that people who have caused harm and distress to other players still have a lot of ways to cause more harm and distress if they wish to do so.
Sometimes seeing someone's name on your screen is enough to cause worry and anxiety.
Therefore: would it be possible to improve all 3 of these features such that:
- Blacklisted people can't join ANY party you're part of.
- Blacklisted people's name and/or character are not visible on your screen.
- Blacklist applies to accounts and not characters.
- When you remove someone from your friend list, you also get removed from theirs.
- Blacklisted people can't find you through Player Search.
- You can opt out of Player Search if you want to.
I do understand that this could create a lot of technical problems (if you blacklist people in PvP to not be paired with them for instance), but I'd really appreciate it if these 3 features could be improved to prevent such unpleasant interactions, especially when reporting to GMs seems to have close to no effect.
On a lighter note: can we have a cake sticker in gpose please ♥
There's even one in Wondrous Tails already... the Apple Tart sticker is not enough lol
Is it possible to add an indicator to show that our gear is in low health and in need to repair, (perhaps a debuff icon that shows up when its below 30% health) instead of telling the player to fix it only when we start queueing for a duty and sometimes we cant repair in time because the queue pops too fast.
Do you mean like in a game such as World of Warcraft, where broken gear gets shown as an indicator at the edge of the screen?
If you open your character panel to view your gear, you can see a bar next to each piece. It's probably a green bar with a red part at the top. The more damage your gear takes, the lower the bar is and the more red shows (the green bar 'depletes').
I would like to know if you would ever listen to a community survey for future options for the UI such as higher resolution textures or consider implementing a toggle for opening doors?
I never seem to have pressed "open door" mistakenly, but very often I have hit "no" when I go to open a door, and I am usually in a hurry.
First I would like to thank you for the hard work of the dev team especially in these time
My question are:
First, is it theoretically possible to allow some customizable poses for our characters in the Group Pose feature?
Second, what’s the inner workings of the Duty Recorder feature and is it possible to increase the amount of duty’s able to be recorded and if all possible for all duty’s to be recordable?
Hello,
Q1: Is it possible to add some extra features to the UI of the party list? i.e. adjust the width or the height of the party list, increasing the scale of the HP bar of the party members in the list, making it possible to toggle ON/OFF the progress bar of the party members in the party list, or being able to view the party list in horizontal order instead of the default vertical view we have now?
Q2: Is it possible to add a feature that allow you to set specific key bindings for each of the 4 HUD layouts available in the game?
Q3: Is it possible to add a feature that can show you that you have learned "or obtained" a certain item in the game that can show in the UI of the vendor? i.e Item A (obtained)
Thank you for allowing the opportunity to ask Mr. Odagiri those questions about the UI in the game and hope it improve more in the future.
Hello,
Would it be possible at all to revert the changes to how Jonathas, the NPC for achievement rewards in Gridania hands out said rewards?
Before, I was able to simply talk to him to receive my achievement reward, but now I have to go through every single different option to find the correct category.
I'm not sure why the change was made but it seems very counter-intuitive.
Please make it easier to receive the items again by just talking to him!
Thank you very much.
I would like to suggest a collectible item UI addition!
It is possible other people have suggested this already (I did not have time to read all 10 pages of posts)
For items like music, minions, mounts, and fashion accessories, it would be very useful for their to be a visual indicator in the tooltip to indicate if you have already obtained/redeemed that item.
Similar to how they can show your current inventory count, or how items that can be dyed show their current dye color.
When you go to use such an item that you have already collected, it gives you the "You have already acquired [that item/action]" error -- would it be too difficult to have that data referenced and displayed? It would be very useful and time-saving, compared to manually searching your Minion Guide and Orchestrion Log, especially.
There is an option already, in the keybinds go to System and scroll down about midway, there's "Switch to HUD Layout 1/2/3/4"
Edit: Oh wait, I may have misread your question. You mean that for every layout the keybinds are different when you switch them? That may be interesting.
Could there be an indicator on the icons of gear that's already finished spiritbonding so we don't have to hover over every single piece of gear one by one? And on the note of spiritbonding, could you please remove the "warning" when finishing a spiritbond and going back to 1% to make it more distinguishable from the "retrieve materia" option? Right now both actions can accidentally get mixed up, both are related to materia and worded VERY similarly (retrieve vs extract), both offer a "warning" and there's no negative to finishing a spiritbond anymore (the gear is no longer lost) so that warning feels unnecessary.
Could we get more than 4 chat filter tabs, please?
Can we have a different colors in the damage numbers ?
like magical attacks are blue
and physical are orange
magical damage taken purple
physical damage taken Red
that would be great for knowing what damage we are taking in the fights .
I know of two different ways to handle this that exist in-game already.
First, there's the equipment/inventory UI. When your gear hits 100% spiritbond, the dots in the UI turn white. The alignment of the dots directly corresponds to your gear slots in your Character window, so it is not very difficult to navigate straight to the correct gear that can give you a free materia.
Second, there is the Materia Extraction/Materia Creation window. This is under Actions & Traits > General, and can be assigned to a hotbar for quick access. This is the preferred method to use if you're afraid you might "Retrieve" a materia rather than "Extract" one.
Would it be possible to add Gearset and Macro as a subcategory under the Hotbar text command? As it is right now, we have to manually drag-and-drop those elements on to hotbars and it would be far more clean if we could assign their slots via text command.
Can you add a search function to the Triple Triad card menu? We have menus for orchestrion rolls, minions and mounts but not for triple triad cards.
Is there any update on egi-glamours? I would be happy even if they need to be purchased from the mog station.
Alternates for Ifrit (Melee egis):
- Shiva (Using the ice sword and shield)
- Ravana
Alternates for Garuda (Ranged egis):
- Leviathan (Garuda's big ground aoe can be replaced by a large blue watery aoe from Leviathan)
- Ramuh
Alternates for Titan (Tank egis):
- Bismarck
Honestly, you could even not include Ravana and Bismarck and just keep it to the 2.xx egis and I feel like so many more people would be happy. Would love it if a dev could touch base on this...I've asked in the last few Q&A live letters but my question's been missed since it's likely not a priority.
Even glamours for the demi-Bahamut or demi-Phoenix would be amazing. I have always loved Summoners throughout the Final Fantasy series, but I'm sad that my favorite classic summons (Ramuh and Leviathan) cannot be summoned.
Is it possible to add a <destination> to /teleport that could be used in Macros?
This specifically helps gatherers who are going to the same aetherytes at specific eorzean times repeatedly during their play sessions.
Can we please have a Daily Duty Roulette created for PVP Rival Wings ? There's no one playing this game mode ( In North America ) and many of us actually enjoy Rival Wings. Rival Wings is the best PVP game mode that was introduced for FFXIV. It is unfortunate that there is no one playing Rival Wings because there is no Daily Duty Roulette bonus towards it.
Can the blue mage spellbook have a search by name feature? Sometimes I remember the name, but not some of the filter options.
Can we have more options to where floating combat text appears on screen? I really don't like my inc heals being in the middle of my screen
Is there any possibility to allow us have options to edit our UI since you already added light/dark mode versions?
We would love to add more colorful options to make our UI more interesting!
Can you please give back 24 man frontlines ? I know some maps are designed for 72 like Onsal, but others arent. Not everyone have a time at evening when usualy many people queue for this because under roulette.
Hi, as blue mage the one thing that is really bad is to change the skills in the hotbar to match the ones in the active actions, could you make that when we load the save slot for blue mage spells, the hotbar will be saved/loaded along it, that would spare new blue mages from doing a macro to save/load a slot, and now my second request is that the blue magic spelbook have a more detailed information on how to get the spell, for example which monster and the places(in case it have more than one), that would help me train way more blue mages, thanks in advance
Could we please get a way to assign a hotkey to the controller/mouse and keyboard toggle. as i switch between both all the time
Can we get a proper assignment on the HUD for L3/R3? Right now it's via system configuration and you -have- to use a macro, which isn't visible so gotta then put that on its own separate hotbar, plus macros aren't ideal. I think it'd be great if controller had a new "Assign Action" for L3 and R3 that if selected would put up a new HUD element where an action could be dragged just like any other hotbar.
Also can we get different ways to assign Auto-run? I hate using L1+movement stick because it has led to accidents in combat so I turned that off. I have to use a remapper to allow me to use "R2 and Start" to do a shortcut to the keyboard auto run key but that's only something people on PC using remappers can do and is unfair to ps4 players. Just overall more controller config/UI would be great. (For example, I use L1 + analog to actually do strafing instead of auto-run via my remapper because there is no way to turn on strafe for controller while using Legacy right now)
Some bosses say things during fights and those show up in text bubbles. I've noticed it's not possible to 1) change the location of the boss speech bubbles and 2) change the size except for changing the resolution settings, which is very limited and would mean readjusting all other UI elements afterwards. Can we get a way to customize the boss speech bubbles?
The orchestrion list is fantastic because it shows things a player doesn't have yet - and it categorizes them per their original location (dungeon, trial, etc..) where they would have been acquired and separates the special ones from cash items. Would it be possible to get a similar UI for mounts, minions, and triple triad cards?
We shouldn't have to use external sites to be able to easily tell what mounts, minions, and cards we are missing.
Im curious why Bootshine Buff on monk fails to work after PB opener? It will eat the Buff but will not give Bootshine the Direct Crit. Not sure if this is by design or if this is an oversight but it has been really frustrating to me.
Can we have an option to Need,Greed or Pass all the items in loot menu
Will male vieras be considered as an addition following the community demands? or will at least the females be able to wear more hats and hairstyles going forward?
thank you
The HUD Layout feature of Final Fantasy XIV is very unique; what was the design process behind making this feature like?
