I remember when I started out in march of 2011 after not buying release. I felt this way, I wanted a reset. But honestly, after all the crappery I went through, I don't want a reset now. All my classes are lv 50. It took me a long time go get most of the primal weapons. I DON'T want to repeat that.

gawd we don'tneed to reset, just make a couple new servers and make it clear that they are for new players so everyone on em will be starting fresh at the same time :P. Some people might want to go to a place with ltos of highlevel people who can help em outso make it optional :P

Yeah, noooooooo... If you wanna start over at lvl 1, start a new character. I'd probably quit playing if I lost all my levels. I play too casually for that to not make me ragequit.

They commited to everyone who is playing during the fixes that they will not loose any progress. They can't go back on that at this point without a huge backlash from everyone who has invested time in leveling for the last two years.

They have said that they may add servers at the 2.0 launch on which you will have to create a new character in order to play on those servers. If you really want a level playing field @ 2.0 make a new character on one of those servers.

So explain what exactly ppl are paying money for if

1) SE is scrapping the game

2) SE is not letting them keep character progress

I'm asking these questions because i'd love for you to explain to paying customers, who had no obligation to pay for such a bad game, why you are rendering all of their efforts entirely useless. It would more or less be a paid beta test, which is absurd. Now when all subscribers leave your game out of anger, have fun explaining to your investors why you have major losses for the Quarter when you promised increased revenues.

Also have fun explaining to your family why you're out of a job and why you need to apply for welfare.

no, the PS3 people can level up on thier own, I doubt they need us to hold thier hands. If you want to start over that badly, you are free to create a new character.

Only way I'm fine with reseting characters is if SE is overhauling the armory system which I kinda wish they would.

If not. then throwing you on noob island as an after 2.0 patch toturial but you regain your levels after clearing it is ok with me.

Those PS3 players can rediscover the game alone if a server reset is done...I am not an elitist and I worked hard to get where I am now. Resetting me will simply make me move on and no amount of "spectacular new gameplay" will have me return. Rewarding those who left or do not try the game based on reviews is not how to go about this. I don't mind changes...I do mind taking from me that which I have already earned simply to appease others. If what you say is true in your sig then the "throngs" of new players will have more than enough in common to help one another and the higher level minority will be left out of receiving help for higher level content. If nothing else the higher level people can and will be helpful with shortcuts they have discovered to help the lower level people get where they want to go.

EDIT: Troll got me fair and square.

Gave up on page 2, then again I wouldn't mind THE OPTION of reseting my WAR/BLM to level 1, at the proviso I keep whatever achievement items i had before hand.

But yeah loosing everything would suck drasticly.

This is a great idea. Infact they should do it every year. Every year completely wipe everyones characters clean so everyone has to start from scratch and the new people who play the game are all on the same level.

They should give all the new players the best gear and faster xp, since we all have done the leveling serveral times before they should get a headstart, so everything is even more fair and even.

Oh they should have RNG item deletion, every 24 hours they randomly delete a piece of darklight from your inventory. And you have to go farm it again, just like all the other ps3 players.

This function would only exist in the PeaSea vaershun.
