Ongoing harassment/Doxxing threats

I had an issue about a month before Stormblood, where my MSQ bugged out. The NPC took my item, but refused to forward the quest, so now it was broken. Anyways, the GMs would constantly direct me to the 'general forums' for solutions. No matter how ridiculous it sounds. And they keep giving that advice, and it doesn't make sense. You can have a legitimate problem--and their solution is? "Go ask random strangers for advice."

It's easy to forget how terrible the customer service is when you don't need it. But the moment you desperately need it--it takes them 3 freaking weeks to get back to you. And even then--it's probably the same copy-pasted message, and it's a nightmare. And honestly, I would call Square-Enix directly, but there's even horror stories out there of people getting nailed with outrageous international phone bills. And I sure as heck don't want to get saddled with a fee just to get the help (I should be entitled to) with my paid subscription.

It does seem weird, usually these kinds of things show up for 2 reasons.
1. People have believed stories from the harassers or their friends painting OP in a bad light or,
2. Since you can't beware of what people say 24/7, maybe OP was nice to you and/or people around you, but treats others differently.

It could honestly be either of those two situations, but to be fair, if people kept continuously harassing me using multiple people and accounts, I would hold a lot of grudges with a lot of people too, and would probably act pretty sour most of the time, as harassers can really get you in a bad mood. In fact, that list of things that the OP has apparently done, is actually pretty reasonable if painted in the light of being abused by a lot of people.

Perhaps they became ex-friends because they took the harassers side. Or perhaps he dislikes particular people who are friends with the harasser. I always hated the friends of the school bullies myself, for them associating with the bullies. Completely understandable.

Or it could be that sometimes, as I have seen before, one person picks on someone, and then a whole lot of other people join in. They could easily do this if OP has posted public information. Yeah, OP shouldn't post public information, but people also shouldn't use it to harass someone.

I can understand someone doing this if they want to see who else the harassers are talking to, or if people have blacklisted him due to the harassers accounts, and he wants to clear things up?

I don't know the situation, it's true, but I just posted this as hypothetical situations as to why OP has done this, as people can be quick to jump to negative conclusions about people on the forums.

The way I see it SE can dig UP any in game log they want, and if they've decided not to take action against this then I can only assume that we're missing some crucial information here.

That feeling when you get a temporary suspension for telling someone to drink a bleach cocktail in a joking manner, granted sure the person did not find it funny.

Yet something like this goes unpunished, either we are missing something important, or this mans simply got the most lackadaisical GM in history.

OP also mentioned how he bought a game for his ex-friend, so if OP is someone who likes to buy things for his friends, the mogstation expenses could very well be from sending gifts to his friends

He never even remotely said he wants priority service. He just said he is a valuable customer but can not stay here if they, the abusers, make his life here miserable and can keep harrassing him. The "manner he has been treatened" goes for both a deaf customer support (hence the several ticket numbers he mentioned) and the people that can do it that easily without punishment - it's over 2 months!

The amount of money he has spent is in the same paragraph, so I think it is in the same train of taught that he simply want the situation to be handled accordingly and nothing more. Judging from the amount, he is not a kid anymore and surely has a certain level of expectation when it comes to customer treatment. He is not here on a free ride ticket; the game is expensive (and worth it though), and we all can expect swift handling of such severe cases as this is not "a small indie company on a Free2Play basis".

So go easy on this guy and don't get riled up on something that is not written there.

Screenshots can be doctored but numerous people have similar stories and would be willing to share after seeing this post.

This is not the forum to publicly post screenshots or continue a feud but people who have been a victim of OP's harassment deserve a voice. I am not defending the actions of whoever ordered pizza for the OP and scared his wife at all. But harassment, no matter who does it, should not be tolerated and the OP should be held to the same standards as he expects others to be held to.

This probably doesn't help at all but I just ignore trolls no matter how persistent they may seem. If you don't feed them then they eventually starve to death and will go look for food elsewhere. It's easier said than done especially with an extremely dedicated troll who can keep it up for months or years and has lots of friends but I've yet to find a troll who's powers of persistence can outlost my powers of ignoring the @#%$% out of them. Don't engage, don't talk to, don't look at, heck don't even think about them. Just go about your business in game, turn off chat if you have to. Just ignore them. Don't give them ammo, and never ever give people your personal information. I don't share anything about myself online. Not my age, where I live, what country I live in and most certainly not my non existent FB or twitter pages lol. Even if I had them I wouldn't share them. I'm not here for other people's likes. I'm here to relax and have fun.

Gonna have to call BS on this about what you claim the authorities told you. Having been through an ordeal like this with a friend and helping them every step of the way through it, the authorities never said anything remotely like this. They directed us to the department that could best assist us, but they didn't say "sorry, nothing we can do" or anything remotely similar. Since it's in regards to a legal matter, no police in the USA would tell you this. If you're outside the USA, I can't really speak much on that. But in the USA, the police would not brush this off.

No, I wouldn't trust only one side. But the forums have a habit with these kinds of threads. 99% of the time, if there's a "GOTCHA" post in a thread like this, the forums usually go all in with that post and never question if THAT person is lying or just straight making stuff up. Which, if I may be a bit brutally honest here, barafox's post seems like a load of crap and seems very tuned for the explicit purpose of undermining this thread. The fact it is his ONLY post, also makes me sit here and question its validity and possibly even question if they are said harasser.

Also, If the OP is truly so well know and feared for being this horrible, bragging, harasser and that there are so many people who know this to the point screenshots are passed around regularly to warn others of OP's nature as barafox says he is. Well then I ask, where are these people? Surely they would come surging forth to call OP out if he's truly so well known for being like this. So yeah, I'm more inclined to believe OP right now then the very questionable assertions that OP is some horrible uber troll, that is so infamously well known that entire discords for Maetus, and apparently this is slowly growing to be an entire data center (A data center I am on!) knows about his behavior and are actively warning everyone they can of OP's behavior, from someone who's first and only post seems to be here to undermine the thread. Yeah, gonna say that this 'other side' sounds a little iffy to me.

Is there some things in OP's post that make me question him? Yes, absolutely! As some have pointed out, there's a few things in regards to the authority's responses to this that seem off but, this doesn't mean I'm not going to outright think OP is lying completely, nor am I going to instantly trust the "GOTCHA" post as some seem to have here.

I've had many robotic talks with GMs over different flavors of harassment. OP's claims have a heart to them, but are ultimately questionable based on my own experiences. Just having a single post from another side doesn't help, especially without a bit more explanation outside pointing fingers. But. It's at least something.

I didn't read everything but I read that they sent pizza to the guy's house? Why you gotta do the pizza delivery guy like that

Just ignore them, turn off game sounds when you are not in an instance i do it 99% of the time anyways and if the emote spam is bugging you that much buy a new copy of the game and start over on a new server already spent 100s on the game whats a few more sometimes a fresh start is all you can do. With that said i don't see how one person can harass you that much 90% of this games content is instanced and odds of running into 1 person out of the thousands on your data center is extremely low heck most of my time is spent idle in my house with the door locked so no one get in waiting for a queue to pop or pf to fill

Even if Barafox is telling the truth, he could have slanted the evidence to make it look worse, see my post earlier on this thread for examples of how OP could have done those things, without it being as bad as how Barafox puts it.

Also I think Barafox is technically breaking ToS on the forums by calling out, and saying negative things about a person that can be easily identified, (and can cause an additional witch-hunt to this person) whereas OP hasn't called out anyone in particular besides squeenix GMs for not doing something about the harassment.

Also depending on where the harassment takes place, the GMs really can tell you that they can't do anything about it. For example, in linkshells. I got a response from a GM that they won't punish harassment in linkshells, as you can just leave the link shell (was a long time ago, so I don't quite remember the response).
Since you can't tell who invites who to a link shell, if you have someone on the inside inviting the harasser to linkshells OP is in, stuff can get icky quick with the GMs not doing anything about it.

Sounds like a lawsuit waiting to happen, especially if this scenario is true, you have a case for emotional damages in the very least, given to lead to harassment within another game that is ongoing. If OP is speaking the truth, well, here's an idea to run with and see how far it can take you to possibly get this sorted.

I don't see how posting on the forums about harassment solves anything. If anything it's escalated, because now someone replied that OP himself has been going around harassing people in the game. So really, now it's just drama. Can't the GMs just pull up logs rather than have people fight it out in the forums lol

Joyful Song of Mateus here. I run the Crystal Community Leaders Discord, along with having a few hands and voices in some several other communities.

I've been in the community since Stormblood, back when mateus was just starting. I've known Cal... basically since I started my period away from Balmung two years ago.
I don't USUALLY pop up here on the forums? But I saw this on /rSh*tpostFFXIV. I could have sworn this was some dumb post by a well known harasser (who is not Cal, but that diaster is a whole different story,) over here. Was pretty shocked to learn that the guy I've known so long is getting harassed like this.

OP and I aren't close, but I've known him and his personality long enough to know he doesn't DO grudges. When he mistakenly sent someone who brought a lot of drama to my FC, he apologized for ages, and hell, has recommended some of the best people I've had to my FC. When I needed aid with something, he was always one of the first people to offer help. He's been an absolute angel, to be perfectly honest, in the entire time I've known him.
I'm not saying it's impossible for Bara to be right.

But I VERY severely doubt it.

Shoot me a line, Bara. I'd be interested in the information you have concerning OP that's so damning.
