Can I EB Suzaku?
Omega has fought Midgardsormr before. In fact, Midgardsormr is currently the only thing to actually damage Omega, if I recall correctly. So Omega knows how strong Grandad Wyrm was in his Prime.
Omega likely made Midgardsormr a contender because this will most likely affect our characters in some shape or form (while it may just be data, we are technically going to kill a version of a dragon who has been with us since 2.5 and has saved us from being deleted).
I kinda wonder how Alphascape will end. I remember the Raid mentioning Omega only made villains because it didn't understand the source of a hero's power. Maybe Alpha was made to get that data by becoming the Warrior of Light's friend. I'm half-expecting him to die or become the O12 boss against his will.
I expect an Alpha Duty Action, at least.
Poor Tellah. He didn't get the memo that death was cheap.
Looks like a big focus on the Garlean characters ... love how the ending was done. Hnnnnnngh .. must finish SB MSQ!
Well, we have had a Turtle, Tiger, and now a firebird Auspice, which means the final auspice will most likely be the Azure dragon. I think it's pretty neat that they're following the Four Symbols theme :D
Seiryu is most definitely a dragon. They were also mentioned in the DRG questline for Stormblood as a well-known dragon from the East.
I just finally got caught up all the way to 4.3 MSQ. I just thought about something that I wanted to share. During that surprise battle at the end of 4.3, you have the buff called 'Roleplaying'. Seriously. It's description sums up as going through an experience as another character. For the sake of spoilers, what if in 4.4, the devs start having us do some instances as members of this party? Maybe Shadowhunter himself? I don't believe for a moment that this buff was made solely for this one instance. Perhaps something with Y'shtola as well?
Going into full blown theory-mode here, but with us going to the Burn, Y'shtola dealing with things in Doma, and Thancred in the western provinces...I can definitely see room for us doing instances as those characters. I was gonna say maybe our Echo has evolved enough for us to see things from their perspectives, which could explain the Echo filter in the CS...but out of the three of them, I think only Alphy, Alisaie and Lyse were present when we shielded them from tempering. WAs gonna say perhaps we gained the ability from shielding them
Me too! I hope there's more "roleplaying" scenarios, there are so many characters I want to learn more about and see things from their perspective, especially the villains (including the former villains).
Perhaps it's something they can use in the future to make the Echo recaps more fun? Instead of having lengthy "this is what happened off-screen" cutscenes, experiencing the more important Echo visions interactively would make me feel more like I'm actually exploring someone's memories and not just watching a movie starring them.
And I just started the game... its a long grind before I get to stormblood.
I'm pretty certain they said this would be the finale of the 4 Lord's Storyline.
Which I think is dumb, we need Seiryu as you say here. So unless s/he (I want Seiryu a girl so it's 2 - 2 boy/girl Lords personally) is in a Duty instance, I don't know how they're really going to end this...
Unless they're planning a sequel storyline and they meant "this is the finale of this specific arc."
One can wish.
I don't recall them ever saying this would be the finale. Resolving the matters of Suzaku, Seiryu, and Kouryuu all in a single patch would be a bit much.
I feel like it's almost a given we'll have to deal with the latter of the three in some capacity, too, though perhaps not necessarily in a trial.
I too would not want Alphineaud to die, kind of funny how so many hated the guy and now people are saying i hope he don't die, lol
We have had characters in the past that have had perma death like a certain knight and member of the scions :(
I honestly had been taking time off from FFXIV as have been bored with SB but this trailer looks great
Death is usually just a cheap way to introduce drama when a more demanding method of doing so doesn't come to mind or is beyond the writers abilities. It's still something with "impact" since normally it is not possible to fix, hence it is a perpetual drama. Hence drama fans love it, while all the rest hates it.
Alphinaud is still a rather irritating character. On one side he's supposed to be very intelligent and eloquent, but at the same time, more often than not, he's doing absolutely idiotic things. His crystal braves are the biggest fail of his life and were a blatant problem, where he seemingly dismissed issues that did pop up from the very inception. Then there's the katana he bought with Scions money without even trying to haggle...even though Warrior of Light offered to buy it...He did it to prevent the hassle for the Warrior deeming it a Scions matter, only to depend on the player for a way more troublesome thing to get that money back...To begin with, how stupid one would need to be to even buy something without first asking for a price! The salesman could ninja-raise the price thinking he's rich after that declaration...
Not A&E from Nier:Automata? Crossover confirmed? xD
One thing I noticed during the trailer; that smug lalafell in the eureka storyline seems to summon zantetsuken. Was he the thief from Odin story all along, or is it just some look-alike?
I doubt it, since that would imply he was already tempered, which I doubt would slip past anyone.
"Eureka" may be an eikon of a nature similar to Odin in that its true form is that of a weapon that requires a wielder for it to exert much influence on the world around it, though. I'm really curious as to who/what brought it into being when all it seems to speak of is fulfilling one's desires for power, be it through means physical or magical.
Highly doubtful. The name probably alludes to the act of the "creation of man and woman" rather than a literal nod to a prior occurrence of the characters in another medium.
Right now I see it going one of two ways:
Either A) Omega is impressed the incredible potential of "hoomans" and uses all the data its acquired to evolve/create the ultimate humanoid forms...
or B) Omega is disgusted by the continued success of the inferior "hoomans" and to absolutely prove its point decides to beat us at our own game by taking on a form similar to our own... (a la Anti-Spirals in Gurren Lagann).
The human reaper from Mass Effect 2?
