I can understand the change to Delirium as that means more Blood price uptime, but TBN change is useless IMO.

Positive notes, wonderous tails will give us certificates to buy items upon completion and you can get 50k MGP from glamour report! Plus she (Kasumi’s boutique) becomes a new vendor for special items to buy. :0
I have to say that the only thing that truly matters to me out of this update is the sucess rate of reeling in 2.0 and 3.0 fish.
Ok I reviewed the Gold Saucer changes and they're a godsend. Best thing out of this patch for me lmao
How I feel about the WAR changes:

I think the glamour wardrobe is severely lacking, so I'm not defending this hot mess, BUT, I believe it was the community that had interpreted the livestream as them saying that we would be able to remove the items from the wardrobe.
I first saw this being mentioned on Reddit, then it came here, but I didn't see anything official. If this isn't the case, please feel free to give me the actual scoop :) But yeah, I wasn't holding my breath on this part personally as I had never seen official confirmation.
And yes, 200 limit without the option to remove items? Sigh. SE doing SE things again.
I just want to know if i will easily be able to have my DRK, PLD, and WAR have different glamours. I don't understand why this process has to be so confusing/convoluted. Just give me a separate tab where i can skin over my gear on a class by class basis. easy.
You can, The Glamour Plate replaces your current gear with whatever is on it. So if you have Tank A, B and C, and Plate 1, 2, 3. You can have A1, B2 and C3 for each tank job. Later on they plan to include the ability to set the plate to your gear set but that might not come til 4.3
People os so focused on the negativity and their desire to try make this as if was horrible game than forget that 99% of the patch is cool.
Well, like it said, you can do 99 things good and 1 bad that you will be remembered for that bad thing.
If the MSQ roulette gives more xp than two level appropriate dungeons it might survive. Otherwise it's unlikely anyone will queue there.
I...uh, I don't get the warrior changes.
I thought the idea was more to make the burst phases a bit easier not buff them a lot. And they kind of are making it harder a little by reducing the time of inner release as well as forcing you to decide whether its better to use it with burst or as sort of a burst heal with inner beast. I'm also annoyed because I'm starting to get sick of radical changes to jobs; I don't mind minor ones to make them flow better but this makes you rethink a bit about how to play.
And lol, more effort seems spent on PvP stuff than anything else.
Equipment being destroyed really limits what I would be willing to put in the new glamour system, thus limiting my use of it. I was very hopeful it wouldn't happen this way. I was positive about this change because I thought I would actually like the system but now this is very disappointing. The only things I would put in there are items you can get back from the calamity salvager. I would not risk destroying anything else. I'm glad the old system still exists.

Yay!
Just dropping by to point out that this crap all goes live in four days. If SE really gave a crap about our feedback, they'd pace their changes out far enough that they could adapt to anything we had to say.
I am just curious now with only Fire4 getting a potency buff. Is it now worth using BLizzard4 just to get the Umbral Hearts at all or just go: B3 - T3 - Foul - F3, leaving out the time to cast B4 for more Astral Fire uptime etc.
Or does the Umbral Hearts' lower MP on first 3 F4 allow more Astral uptime?
I am pretty disappointed with BLM changes as mobility issues is not something I was struggling with as careful planning on saving proc and clever use of leylines Betweenthelines and AM was already good, and of triplecast.
The delaying of purchasing a house for individuals is just plain dumb. Why would you do this SE?
As a main MCH I would like this too :(
Let's hope there will be more lines about MCH changes adding to the job a bit of more personal DPS in the full final patch notes as this one is not the full patch note yet (fingers crossed).
bc it would be another shirogane nightmare and all the houses would be claimed by individuals, leaving fcs without anything.
but anyways super glad about some of these little qol fixes! esp mb stacks still being sold at 99 and storing some promo items in armoire, ty.
Whelp, guess I have like four days to bust my butt on my current alt and get it through the MSQ and past Cast and Praet before this disaster goes live.
TF lol SE please delay 4.2 and go back and start completely over on class balancing because the only valuable change you actually made was on WHM, RIP DRK....you people have no clue what you are doing!!! Lol
This patch is honestly rubbing me the wrong way. DRK and BLM getting buffs in all the wrong places, reusing relic weapon models, the lackluster gear designs and the flaming wreck that is the new MSQ roulette.
If you can't even suplex the train then I think I'll skip this patch.
mannnnnn those nerfs to SMN really break my heart. I'm glad they didn't change how the job plays but knowing my numbers are just dropping all the time really bums me out. And seeing they didn't add anything of substance for DRK is another total bummer, TBN is cool but I would've loved a party wide buff? Something at least. I'm honestly so surprised at all the bugs WAR got, I wasn't aware it was in a bad place and needing such buffs? '
Oh well, I'm disappointed in the new armor, the glamour system being a let down, and nerfs to my favorite job.
The only thing im super looking forward to is the story content and all the Ananta stuff. <3 I can't wait to have my home filled with Ananta retainers! I can't wait to see what Ananta glamour we get with the beast tribe
Me: *levels SMN and learns rotation enough to beat O4S dummy with a few seconds to spare*
SE: So we'll be nerfing AoE for SMN soon
Me: Well, guess I'll have to do a bit of adjusting but I can live with it. Guess we'll see what they do with it.
SE, a week later: Oh hey, so we're nerfing pretty much ALL the good AoE moves. Also, we're nerfing Ruin III just because. Have fun with 40 total less potency to your overall single-target rotation alone! Please look forward to it!
Me: =')
I mean, SMN should still be pretty viable in raids and all, but man I'm really going to need to practice my rotations to make up for that kind of loss. In other news, I'm not surprised about Castrum/Praetorium, but man I feel bad for all the poor newbies. I might pitch in in PF if I see a group that wants to clear them and I have some free time, but yikes that's harsh. Granted, I stopped running MSQ roulette because of the other players that run it, not the cutscenes tbh.
Edit: I misread "Painflare" as "Deathflare" in the notes, so I guess that's more of a 20 potency loss to single-target overall. Still a bummer, but not as bad I guess. On the other hand, that hurts AoE even more than I initially thought...
The new crafted weapons use the Zeta models.

And the three HW jobs.
The Excog buff is pretty much verbatim to a common request regarding the skill. This makes it a pre-cast Lustrate as much as was a buffer heal. Some SCH's considered it was a "waste" if Aetherflow unless you force your tank to <50%, but I always felt like it was a backside cover while I DPS, not a big heal.
Otherwise, what a polarizing patch.
The only way to adequately describe my reaction to the MSQ change is, "The Laugh Heard Round the World." Seriously one of the biggest guffaws of my life. GG, SE!
I'm happy about the change to Divine Bension. Now I don't have to burn Cures to get my shield, so that's nice.
"Hey guys, we're increasing the number of retainers from 8 to 9!" *gets excited* "...you still have to pay for them." *hopes and dreams dashed*
