Imagine Ifrit with Jobs. You'd need 1 PLD and 1 WHM. The rest can be DDs and the close range ones wouldn't have to worry about Sear with PLD's ability that grants regen to nearby allies when he is cured. Not to mention MNK with Fists of Wind would probably out-DPS every other DD lol.

Or its because players have found a strategy that works and havent spent more grueling hours trying to find other ways to beat the battle. A few ppl Im sure are trying but my guess is not too many.

And to to OP, here is an idea... start your OWN pt to fight the mog, its not that hard to get a pt together. You only need 1 gld? Well there you go you can fill that role. I bet in the time it took to pull up the forums and rant you could have had a full pt of 8

Yeah, you'll find the game is full of elitist asses that refuse to have any kind of interaction with the game that isn't entirely meticulous and technical, It's the same issue of no Primals without materia'd gear, no Ifrit without Sentinel, No Dzamael because durr hard, no high NMs because you can't Emulate any more, etc... it won't stop, what i can say is try and find yourself a nice casual LS that cares more about having fun than about attaining perfect stats, or use the party search tool and in your comment field leave a note that you're looking for a casual/fun experience, every game has elitist, this one is no different, you can only really go around them, they tend to seperate themselves from normal people that like to have fun and close themselves in their little circle-jerk and leave the rest of the world alone.

Again, if you make your own party you won't run into not being accepting into one...All you need to do is have a strategy when you invite and don't just /random it.

SE didn't make these battles with just one particular setup in mind, I can assure you that. Its elitists that like to try and "exploit" or "gimmick" the system who make those "rules".

Do what you want I make my own parties, its not like people don't join, a win is a win. Its all how you sell your strategy.

SE has always had a tendency of doing this, making certain jobs excel at certain things. They never seem to be able to balance it either. Ok, BLM's and RDM's getting invites to everything, we will make mobs resistance to spells and enfeebles! Great, now no one wants them, and full zerg time! Ok, zerg's are too powerful, time to make melee dmg resitant mobs! Ok, no one wants melee now. Back to BLM'S!

They seem to have a hard time of making mobs switch it up mid fight and such. If you have a time limit and mobs fluctuate between immune to phys or magic and I mean immune hard to the point where if you don't do enough dmg they won't revert, people would HAVE to mix it up. Do like some abyssea mobs did, make them absorb physical at certain points, or magic, make them immune to spears, or arrows, or whatever. Just make the mobs adapt.

As for people saying shout for a party, be the Gladiator! Then what, make him get more archer's? It's still the same problem, not to mention shouting in XIV is damn painful. You can be there for hours before you get replies on these fights. It's the same old, you have a good shell, great! You have consistently dying shells, good luck. And only a week and half until these problems magnify themselves...fun fun.

Whoops my bad. But I still believe SE needs to do more than what they're doing. Combo system rework I mentioned and class exclusive buffs would be a great start to encouraging more classes.

With that attitude, I doubt any decent end-game LS will want you.
In proper LS, even if you have a preferred class, you go whatever the situation demands.
That's community play.

the game is being completely redone and is still being changed and stuff fixed.. give it time and why not lvl ARC.. isnt point of game lvl everything and have a good time with friends. Anyhow... as many said.. this game is still work in progress, maybe take a break but wouldnt panic over it.

Yeah.
If you want to experience everything, you're going to have to work for everything. This includes finding/making teams that would be willing to work with unconventional classes.

Just be patient or flexible and stop trying to fit a square shape into a circle hole when the sphere is readily available. Yes the sphere is a mile away and weighs 20 pounds but it's there. Man up and take it or find a different hole.

As for the lack of content, that's something that's clearly being worked on. Every major update adds new junk to the mix and by the time it's all ready and set there will be plenty for everyone to do. They shouldn't have to tone down the earliest ones to the lowest common denominator.

All and all I'm just concerned that it could lead to bland and samey fights that take no advantage of the games biggest feature because while trying to please every class it ends up pleasing no one.


Oh, and I keep forgetting to mention Jobs. That will probably change things up a bit too but seeing as I have no idea how it will do so, there's not much I can say about them. Maybe they'll make it more viable for you, who knows.

Problem is Yoshida claimed the class adjustments were supposed to fix that. Can't remember the name of the interview that was in, but it's obvious the problem is still there.

Problem is you don't have a source. It is obvious as hell that the Job system is designed to make grouping make more sense, and it's not implemented.

The real problem here is that you ignore what is in front of your face and give weight to possibly fake, possibly misinterpreted translations of interviews instead.

If said upcoming system wasn't so directly and obviously related to the very essence of the problem here I would understand you better. But the fact is that nothing is more clear at this point than the fact that you are playing classes designed for soloing with the grouping equivalent still underway.

The classes are balanced to a sufficient degree. The community enforces status quo "rules" to not deal with n00bs. This is not something SE can fix - they can only discourage it. Discourage it they have.

Jobs will change everything there is about endgame Full Party content. It's the reason for their implementation.

They will change how Archer plays, differentiating itself from the rest of the DPS classes by becoming a buffer.

The rest of the DPS Jobs are still a question mark, but the most obvious current flaw of ARC dominancy over short-range DPS taken care of.

What's to stop someone from playing archer rather than bard in a full group?
