Who else HATES the new PVP system? change it yoshida, pls.

PvP is not that good anymore, I don't believe the new simplicity makes up for the customization we had before!...

It's true I can get "Fever High(?)" as a healer if I try hard enough but everyone dies really fast and the cool blue symbol won't last for long!...

The one thing I cannot forgive is how limited the move pool is now, I can't use Protect or even my fairy (which I find ridiculous) as I used to and that takes away a lot of fun from PVP!...

They did a good job separating the PvE hotbars (XHB) from their PvP counterparts but the latter feel really empty now that all skills won't use more than a single one leaving the rest unhappily unused!...

SE and the Producer can safely bring back all the normal skills from PvE and part with the unnecessary PvP exclusives, just make sure to separate settings for each type of hotbars (PvE & PvP) because the way it is now it just inherits settings from the shared ones and creates an issue during PvP!...

I find the current system leagues above the other. It's fun and engaging, and I no longer have to wrestle with fifteen different hot bars to get anything done. Granted, towards the end of HW I was just ignoring my PvP skills outside of the occasional stun gun and was still boasting battle fever with 9+ kill streaks, so maybe they weren't as mandatory as people thought?

Mileage varied. Could a SCH get by without Aura Blast? Sure. Should a healer use their normal raise (that gives weakness) or the instant PvP raise, Divine Breath (that gives no weakness)? And if you were ignoring skills like Between the Eyes, you were really shorting yourself on some of the best parts of the MCH PvP kit.

Also, I've illustrated this before but I easily could've made room for all 6 of the PvP skills I used if I got rid of redundant skills or unused ones. The "too many buttons" thing really doesn't hold weight.

As for the tank discussion, as it currently stands, I'd say the current meta is Dark Knight > Paladin, and trailing WAY behind is Warrior now. DRK got a LOT of buffs that made them feel a lot more like WAR in the later patches. PLD was just better than both already. WARs were the only tanks before that'd really make me think twice about engaging them (well PLDs definitely, but I learned what to look for and how to work around it where I could), but now, I feel no pressure from a WAR at all.

I'm just an average pvper: I have basic knowledge of fights mechanics in PvP, of jobs, of CC usages. I'm not good but I'm not bad either, I fail, I succeed. I've played a fair amount of games with/against all jobs to know what lvl of threat they are. I read and discuss with other PvPers about current jobs situations, etc... We're talking about job balance here and I don't think you can determine balancing according to how it is played at the lowest lvl of gameplay, that would be ridiculous.

Yeah the lack of a heal for both PVP and PVE MCH was a crazy oversight (or some sadist's idea of fun!)

I like its simple and makes the fight be more about skill over level/gear.

What I do think should be changed is how one group has healers and the other does not. A alliance with only 1 healer (that was me) will have a hard time beating an Alliance where each group had atleast 2 healers. I understand SE can not force the players to play as a healer or tank, but the past few days I have been in Alliances where I (or with another player) the only healer, this + bots often meant my grand company was going to fail anyway.

Being able to kill a healer solo sans a limit break at precise timing is Over powered because other jobs cannot. You were never intended to solo the healer only occupy. If you could reliably kill them why even have one.
Yes using purify to maximize you effectiveness is essential when attempting to burst because anyone able to should be trying to stop you.
Adjust your attack plan to the healer first? Battle is dynamic you should never let yourself be boxed into a single strategy.

Yes, I was just determined enough (or lucky) to take my spot in top 100. But I am not as reliable as most other players in top 100. During some match I was able to put good pressure and DPS, and during some other I just fail miserably at having a significant damage output or support. And a good player should be able to keep playing efficiently most of the time.

No, lots of other jobs were potentially able to 100 > 0 in 2/3 GCDs. But for WAR to being able to 2 shot people, it needed: Berserk + full swing + IR + stun + crit + healer not able to recover. Zerk was 90 seconds and full swing 120, healer needed to not have stun resistance. So yeah, this was a really intense moment for healers at that point, but WAR would be completely OP if indeed it was able to put CONSTANTLY that kind of damages, and that wasn't the case.
It is all about a window, it just worked differently: WAR's window was a high burst that needed healers attention, PLD's window was about making him unable to heal when a team/himself mate needed it. But remember that healers had lots of tools to get free from cc's or burst.

That was sarcasm, I actually use it carefully and I adapt as much as I can during match. If during bronze rank match I was able to indeed just 2 shot some bad healers, during plat/diamond, I completely know that this won't be enough to keep the other healer busy because that guy will know how to use his tools to counter me.

The new PvP System was designed for people not willing to read theyr skills and play them right. Now everyone can play on the same skillevel except for Situational Movement wich is now reduced to: All skills are ready? I go in! Skills are on CD? I leave and wait.

No Crits, No surprises. Everything is linear. But the masses like it thats why it will stay. The True PvPers will remember the good days :). I for myself play it very rarely now, it just became boring.... I know some people now might say i have no PvP experience or whatever. Im sure as Hell not the best Player. But i reached Platinum Multiple times and the Top 100 once in Season 2. So i DO have Experience.

I like it, one just has to understand that your role may be different in PvP than it is in PvE, and skills that have the same name may have drastically different purposes. I have to pay attention to my own survival a lot more as a DPS, and instead of a singular DPS role my job may be more suited to harassing the healer, interfering with other DPS, or finishing off weakened opponents.

Sir I don't think you understand how averages work. Also determination is good but luck does not get a solo to top tier and keep them there.

You are missing the point that it was a Tanking role not a DPS. That is why its damage was so over the top by comparison.

I'm sorry if you're upset that they are trying to make pvp more accessible , but I welcome it because I have love for the sport of skill based interaction. PVP is literally better than savage raiding. I can memorize an EX or Savage in a few hours and ace my part no problem , but you never know what other people will do and it's invigorating!

I used to spam PvP, I've since stopped. I loved playing it on PLD because of the versatility I had. Now...I'm bored as hell. My favorite thing on PLD in PvP, thee knockback, is now gone and we get barely any moves. I may go back for any new rewards, but that's it. I have no real interest in the new system as I play PLD, and now it's boring as hell.

It's only fun if you like to play bard and 1 shot / burst kill white mages

The biggest problem is that people get mad when someone tries to call out objectives, and people who call objectives are frequently insufferable most likely for this reason. You're not wrong though most people run to the middle just to try and fight whoever they can.

PvP was good in HW. Now its a big faceroll content, flooded with bots.

I like that the basic skills are very straightforward, but I hate that besides doing our 1-2-3, we don't have anything else to use. Meaning cooldowns and situational skills.
