I call BS on this. You have the time to do your roulettes, get 70, gear up outside the raid, but not enough time to do savage? You simply DON'T WANT TO DO IT, You can invest 1-2hrs a week LEARNING the Savage fights and get them done if you want to, stop making excuses not to.
I have played this game since 2.0 and for most of that time I worked Full time, had family priorities and obligations like most others here, Your no more special that me yet I have no problem making a learning party and doing fights that are literally 10min long, and now that you can DUTY FINDER a learning party its even EASIER NOW to TRY. You are not entitled to 100% of the game, it requires effort, VERY LITTLE too, I may sound rude but stop crying and play the game instead of wasting your "Precious" time on the forums saying you have no time
I'm confused as to what the OP is asking for -- is he asking for a certain phase from Savage Exdeath to be brought to Normal Exdeath?
Do you feel a little shirked OP? Maybe if you goad SE more you'll get your way! Sorry this is just a diversion I'll stop.
The people who work really hard to complete these raids should be rewarded. I haven't done any real raiding since binding coil either, but I don't think it's fair that things other people spend so much time on be given to me. I you really love the boss and want to experience it, wait a few months till you are way over geared and tackle it then. The boss is literally not going anywhere and in a year, your item level will likely be high enough to beat the content unsynched with a few friends.
> I want said thing but can't do said thing because of some other thing but I wont tell you because it will detract from the fact that I can't access said thing because of some mysterious thing.
Come on. No.
That's part of the reward people get for putting such effort in Savage mode.
Man, I wish I could catch that many when I'm puting my line in the lochs for sculptor
NAIVE WEAKLING
"I play 2 hours a week and I want everything, right now, at no cost, and if I don't people and dev team are selfish and idiot".
*sigh*
Can we not all agree that it would be nice to have it in the normal version?
Or they can wait 6-7 months when its added to Duty Finder. If that's not enough for them, oh well. As I said. SE wont be making an exception. If they didn't add content to the Duty Finder when it becomes outdated, then sure I could -somewhat- understand how they feel. But it does get added. So they can wait.
one side of me, could love to have it, other side of me tells what it should leave it at it is, it gives a extra motivation to hardcore raiders to reach the end, if they have something unique to see
I came in to say this and see that it was already said almost right away yesterday.
I think this extra content is a great balance between where we were with the Binding Coils (none of the non-raiders could see the story) and what we had with Alexander (raiders didn't feel rewarded enough for working at the difficult raid content). If not a win-win it's at least a happy medium.
As a mostly casual player who comes and goes from the game I'm just fine without the extra phase. The raid community needs something to strive for. Locking big story content was bit too much but they deserve something nice. Stuff that isn't just gear that's a bit higher iLvl.
i think it should be added, but not now. much later, say when the new omega raid part is out (or better near the end of this expac's life cycle.) , then the extra phase could be moved as a show fight for that.
personaly i love the extra phases and i hope they add that into the mechanics of extreame fights in the future.
How about if you want to see the extra phase of the fight, you get your rear in gear and work for it? It's not like reaching it is something so far out of your reach forever. If you can't commit to it, that's just something called life. Gearing up is still extremely easy and O1S and O2S being this accessible means anyone that dealt with Susano EX and Lakshmi EX have a pretty fair chance of making a dent in the content. I didn't see any fuss over Flying Justice in A8S. I didn't even know it existed before I went back to it with my static unsync while waiting for Stormblood. Why should Neo Ex-Death be any different?
It would take away the point of having it to begin with. This was talked about back at fanfest. YoshiP wants savage to have some story differences that normal doesn't to entice more people to play it.
Because it's fanservice.

Previously, fanservice was in stuff like Hildibrand quests that are pretty accessible to anyone capable of logging in. Now they are putting fanservice into raids that ~10% of the players do.
Why should fanservice not be allowed in savage content? Savage Raiders should get something special for the effort they put into those fights.
Also Fanservice can still be added in casual content while staying in savage content, there's nothing that says SE can't have fanservice for both at the same time.
Exdeath is still in O4N. This form isn't and is reserved for Savage. For some reason, despite the entirety of Omega 1-4's storyline being complete in normal mode, people want this non-canon bit that would be completely watered down. Do you want to see it? Go look it up on Youtube, open up notepad, and then just press random buttons. There ya go, full experience and you even get to see the cool mechanics you wouldn't get in normal mode. I personally have always been okay with there being a normal/LFR mode for everyone to experience the story, that was the argument back in Coil and I empathized with those that didn't get to see all the cool cutscenes and the initial fleshing out of Alisaie and Alphinaud's character. This made total sense to me, but not being able to fight a special non-canon phase of a fight... it's like... come on...
You mean a part of the fight that's exclusive for savage isn't in normal? Huh, this sounds just like heroic raids in WoW, or..any mmo ever that has difficulty settings in raids. What a surprise!
