Exactly, people talk about other mmos like any other one is even as good to ffxiv. Only other I can think is Wow.

Shout-out to the translators! Much love! Love watching the original stream, but personally I really need / appreciate the translations as well.
It was a huge disappointment.
Housing questions and issues were not discussed at all even though it's vastly requested.
"Q21. Do you have plans to implement quests where Magnai will find his moon?
A21. I was thinking it was Sadu. On the internet, some were saying it may be Cirina, or it may be the Warrior of Light. There may be a quest for Magnai and Sadu. Only the Dawn Father knows."
No! Let him suffer loneliness for eternity. Guy was a dick.
Wouldn't be against WoL as someone he can have a denial crush for. Our dashing heroics should make everyone swoon but he's too prideful to admit it.
OMG THANK YOUQuote:

・The introduction of “Miasma II” as a job specific skill.
・Changed the cooldown of Emergency Tactics to 20 seconds.
・Indomitability [stay tuned]
・Strengthening Excogitation.
・Changed the range of Fey Union to 15 malms.
・ Aetherpact has been changed to increase Faerie Gauge even when Aetherflow actions does not inflict an effect on the target.
・Introduction of a trait reducing the cooldown of Aetherflow.
Even without the lowering of MP costs, being able to Aetherflow more often will allow us to rely better upon our stack eating skills and regen mana better.
Also, the Faerie Gauge build up amuses me since it basically means we can spam off stacks specifically to build the guage.
Also, using Emercency Tactics more often was something I personally was hoping for.
This will help so much.
STILL nothing about combat music? Pretty disappointing.
I'm curious where and when. Cause the only time I've ever used it was farming light. The idea for the skill is "okay", its just the 60 and 70 skill fight eachother. And I'll say that the 70 skill, for the issues it does have, is by far the superior skill.
Oops meant to add this to my other post, oh well, lol.
But I will add the Summoner Question about Physick and Sustain, and how it was completely ignored annoys me to no end. Either fix Physick so that its usable or give us back Sustain. Again a trait would help.
I hope it means "plenary indulgence was meant to be WHM ultimate skill, but we messed up and it was pointless, no one likes it, and besides it fits the ishgardian theme of AST much better, so we are removing it and giving medica 3which scales in power based on the number of lilies". Well, I can hope, right?
Me personally? No, what would the point be? Did I say something about it taking 3.5 years to finally give Paladin some love? Surely, but as ever, it didn't last long. I can't answer for other players. But since I was in Omega Delta 1 last night with a warrior who was better geared than I, but melted in front of the boss because they were in DPS stance, I have little sympathy with players who dress as tank, but would clearly prefer the DPS role.
Don't waste your time, that poster is pretty quick to whine about anything, and you're considered "rude" if you disagree on the wrong thing. Thankfully i can't see that mess anymore.
But as for the live letter, everyone was calling for nerfs to SAM and RDM without understanding what their nitch is. but they already said they aren't nerfing either, and the ones that really needs buffs are getting them, So no worries there.
However, WAR did not stay down long.
This is a problem that only happens when you are playing zoomed in. I can think of several times as a Mi'qote that I can't click on a taller NPC because I have the camera at shoulder level. You can't even tab target it.
In dungeons, it also happens with monsters, if you happen to be standing right under the boss and the boss goes straight through your clipping plane field of view, then you can't click on it without circling around. Rare, but more commonly happens when there is a group of 6 mobs, and you're tanking, and you can't target the closest one because it's head is out of view.
I like how there was no questions about the amount of completely useless abilities monks still have, when the combat rework was about getting rid of useless abilities
Wow is it just me or did this letter from the producer not mention ANYTHING about our questions with housing?
Nope not one. Meanwhile, you have 2 chicks sitting around with nearly 30 houses for themselves.
They need to limit housing immediately to house 1 account / server.
Now's a perfect time to start. At least the people who don't have a single house can get SOMETHING.
I've waited years.
I think their saving anything related to housing until when or after Shirogane is released.
I could live with SE needing to figure out what to do. I get the impression however that they really don't don't want to figure out what the job is and how to implement it. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if during meetings someone didn't say I wish we had never introduced the job.
I don't consider the Aetherflow problems quality of life issues. They affect the basic function of the Summoner and its ability to fulfill its role. Even though I show my dots up Fester still frequently won't hit and wastes an Aetherflow. I've had to try to delay the use of Fester to be sure the server knows the dots are up. In any event I lose two Aetherflow CDs as the next one will be over as soon as the bar is full. This then cascades into DWT and Bahamut. Prior to 4.0 I would only lose one cycle as once I went into DWT any remaining Aetherflows were still available.
"Notably features that exist in very similar formats, rather than being similar as a concept (i.e. glamour log) but differing significantly from game to game."
And you mention the one example I used as something that exists as a similar concept but has significant differences in implementation from game to game (namely that only a few actually have glamour logs, others have a handful of wardrobe slots that when you think about it aren't that functionally different from how our armoury system works, except that ours switches out gear with stats instead of just gear appearance, and still others just have you cover up specific items with one outfit/piece of gear at a time).
Were you even trying?
Then you weren't paying attention. Warriors ranging from the reddit side to veteran tanks like Xeno have been asking for Paladin buffs throughout all of 3.x. There is only so much pushback we can do when the devs come out and claim Paladin will never block magic. If you follow Frosty TV's podcast, Paladin buffs were a frequent discussion point with many high profile raiders. Furthermore, you've missed the point entirely regarding Warrior complaints. No one good cared Warrior wasn't "the best." Complaints mounted because it was arguably the worst tank; lacking any raid utility and having the most punishing rotation for the least payoff by far. People also need to stop overreaching on the supposed difficulty of Stormblood. Tanks only take more damage because people were trying pulls in Shire gear. I have been in parties where tanks do the mega pulls wearing 270 Slaying Accessories and live through it all. Susano and Lakshmi are the easiest EXs released in the game. It isn't that hard nor has much changed.
Tanks are still prioritizing damage once they reach the mitigation and aggro checks, which are easy to accomplish thus far. Put all that aside, Warrior doesn't need a massive damage boost. It needed to play like it did in 3.x. The removal of the stance swap penalty alone brings it back to its old playstyle.
Small steps, but it will still bring Ninja down slightly, which needs to happen.Quote:
they only reduce the potency of gut slash not a massive nerf will be interesting to wait the patch note before scream to the nerf if not rebalance.
all i did noted that no nerf for the sam and rdm (exept vercure) that will maybe make some people stop with this and make them focus on them jobs.
Red Mage is an odd one since Black Mage really just needs to be better. Hopefully all the buffs it gets brings it to where it should be. Samurai, on the other hand, is perfectly fine.
Can you name a single drawback Red Mages have? I'll list all the positives.
- Highest damage potential of the casters; second highest of DPS overall
- Arguably the best utility of all DPS jobs
- The only DPS capable of healing a raid; one of only two DPS with raise
- Excellent mana efficiency
- A simplified and generally easy to execute rotation
There are only so many buffs you can make to other jobs. Now I am not one to advocate for sweeping nerfs. If they can bring the other casters up, wonderful. But what Red Mage offers at the moment is insane.
I find it sad how an old game like runescape walks all over this one when it comes to item management. I mean it seems SO HARD to make a currency tab and glam logs. The collect 1 item a week so it takes 4 weeks to get one gear is getting old, or 7 in the case of weapons. It might of took wow a long time to make a glam log but that does not give an excuse for this game to take the same amount of time. WoW is much older and this game came out using wow (i'm guessing) as a base. Since that is the case, where the development gets ideas from other games, a glam log in this one should been here some time in HW. If they are going to give the excuse "our servers can't handle it" I have to question if that server move did anything for upgrading. As things stand and continue to sound, they only did that move to save money, I see no effects from server upgrades.
Also doing progression the same as HW, should be called HW 2.0, Same, need 4 items for body/legs, the same need 2 items for head, hands, feet, the same need 1 item for belt/ accessories, while having some trial give you current ilevel weapon (or something very close) to whatever is highest. Same game, just different skin.
Also why does deltascape have the same music for 3 out of the 4 runs??? that gets old fast, alexander was nice.
I tend to agree. The changes they mentioned to Dragoon are... okay-ish but do nothing to address is low damage. We've seen numerous examples of the devs clinging to their vision despite it simply not working. Back in Heavensward, they insisted Paladin would never block magic. Two years of shunning it and they finally gave in.
I wouldn't even consider them okay-ish, that DRG response made no sense at all
Shorter Mirage Dive isn't really much of a DPS increase, dragon sight is more of a QoL, Elusive Jump has absolutely nothing to do with damage.Quote:
Adjustments are planned for 4.05. To name some, Mirage Dive animation will be shorter and the range on the Dragon Sight will be increased to 12. Elusive Jump will have a 30s recast now. Sonic Thrust will be adjusted. BOTD will be 20s and some potency buffs.
It would have been good to know what skills are getting the potency buff, since that was the question asked.
I updated the OP with the full unofficial translation, as it includes things that weren't mentioned in the official one https://docs.google.com/document/d/1...ceKo17xJo/edit
the mana efficiency is not is forte, same his aoe capacity is extremely limited and not the best out. without forget that instant cast skill don't proc his dual cast. meaning that he is forced to cast all his first spell of dual cast.
the heal gonna get a nerf and the rez... if your group play well is useless, then it's a big debate about the utility of this skill.
even his group buff is extremely tailored for be into a group mainly focusing on physical dps. (without forget it is decaying)
the reason of why the red mage is in front of the black mage? his burst dps, the strongest combinaison of skill is a melee combo. that the reason, plus it was discovered that a bug was allowing him to increase his damage artificially, i invite you to go check the dps forum someone have posted it.
the rotation of the blm is simpler for me than the one of the red mage but it's a debate of skill or habit of play then subjective.
Uh, what? If I look on FF Logs and filter out the balances, the highest PLD DPS is higher than the highest WAR DPS on Susano EX. And the logged damage buffs aren't that different (obviously not taking Balance into account since it's filtered out). So I'm not sure where you're getting that WARs are the best at DPS.
1) Are you taking into account the glitch people have apparently been exploiting, buffing their numbers out the wazoo? Galvuu reported 3.4k without and 3.8k with iirc.
2) How so? A .75% rDPS increase *if* all the others jobs are physical and *if* all are in range when popped? Trick Attack shits on Embolden. Hell I'd say BL shits on Embolden.
3) Brings with it the idea that healers can be lazy/overreliance on RDM's rez to the point that I've seen pug healers neglect healing entirely cuz "Oh the RDM can just pick them up, I'll keep dpsing"
4) Sure. When not using point 3.
5) I know! Reminds me of BLM 2.x, I loved how simple and unbound to timers it was back then.
