Dunno...we bring her back from the dead in HW only to kill her off in SB? Seems kinda unlikely.
But hey, anything can happen and they probably showed us these scenes to make us discuss exactly this xD

All I want is that hairstyle from the dude that sits on the mtn/hill. I don't know who it is, and I don't care much about the lore, I also don't know how it looks from the front, but hell the back of that ponytail is amazing, I want it and that's all I care about.
Thanks for the link.
My boredom is almost over.
Not first time a trailer makes it seem like one thing is going to happen and ... it's misleading. It could also be a vision of some kind. Don't jump the gun too soon.
If y'shtola dies. So gods help me..
I'm 90% sure it is though. The words themselves match the characters supposed personality even if the voice doesn't really match. That said the japanese voice is exactly as I'd expect her to have.
Edit: Listening to what she's saying in Japanese (which is quite different from the english one, business as usual there though lol), it seems she's mentioning something about 20 years ago and I believe she might be belittling them for fighting since then but.... well, my japanese is pretty awful so /shrug ^_^;;
Why was Krile being refrigerated?
They better not be offing one of the last Lalafell main characters or I'll riot.
Zenos isn't the Emperor, he's the Emperor's son. Furthermore, the Warrior of Light and his allies chose to pick a fight with Garlemald. Naturally people are going to die as a result of that - and this time around it's the Eorzean's who are the aggressors given that they're seeking to liberate territory that has belonged to the Empire for quite some time now. I doubt that Y'shtola will die, though - she's the game's mascot. I do hope there's a few major deaths, though - it'd certain be realistic.
I've never been one to care about "Spoilers". Never phases me.
I really enjoyed the trailer and am overall more hyped than I was before! Early Access can't come fast enough, huehue ♥
So I really hope that isn't actually Yotsuyu's voice... definitely does not fit her.
But what I'm really interested in is whoever or whatever that enemy that looks like some kind of mystical female Au Ra in the tiny snippet at 4:32ish right after the machinist flamethrower bit. Who is sheeeeee?!
we can not confirm any character deaths from a trailer, we have to play the game to find out what really happens in this particular scene with y'shtola. my interpretation of this scene is that we were caught off guard by the garlean empire whom probably had a spy hidden among us most likely, that revealed the location of the resistances' HQ and Xenos being the main enemy here decided to strike us while we were "cozy" so to speak. so amongst this chaos he appears on the scene Lyse upon seeing him loses her cool and rushes him, but is outmatched thusly does y'shtola rush to defend her but somehow Xenos breaks her barrier i'm assuming his weapon being an anti-magick type sword cuts thru with ease. immediatly after he rushes the WoL and puts him down too
They didn't kill Y'shtola in a trailer. I will be so angry
never forgetti HW launch trialer shows aymeric getting stabbed with a kitchen knife
Yes you are right as he is an Imperial Viceroy, but lets face the fact that he is stepping in where his father does not. I was mistaking him for Varis his father who took over as Emperor after his grandfather. It was my confusion. Also everyone keeps going on about her being the games mascot, but I doubt that would ever stop them from killing her off. Doesn't mean they won't bring her back in some mysterious odd way, could be part of the scene with Krile. Either way she just took a huge blow. She is bleeding out heavily. We don't know what happens next, but we are obviously on the back foot there.
seeing Ixion makes me happy
A generation isn't enough to forget family members murdered, and mother, sisters, daughters being made into pleasure women for an invading hostile force. Saying Erozea is the aggressor is tantamount to hearing an attack from a room full of hostages and blaming the rescue team for going in aggressively.
Glaumunt's tale...
As far as Y'shtola , i believe she will survive but be horribly injured. Room must be made for an old friend to come back help us out this go round.
Depends on whose viewpoint it is I guess.
The real problem will arise from those born after imperial occupation. It's all they've known, and likely they see the resistance as people making their situation worse. It's what the empire does, conquer, then take the children to be educated in "proper civilized" imperial doctrine (read brainwash). That's how we end up with people like Fordola I'd imagine.
Ah, it's finally upon us. I'm fondly remembering the big debate that began the day the Stormblood teaser was released, back when she was the Lady in Red. Let's have another "Is she a DNC?" debate during the 24 hr maintenance, just for the hell of it.
Well, that arm-blade we see attached to her "Red Dress" outfit is certainly more unique than anything else I can recall seeing, even when compared to other "Unique" weapons (Y'shtola's staff, Thancred's mismatched knives, etc.).
Do I think that makes her a "Dancer" (Or some other potential new job tease)? Not really. Arm-blade might be more unique than anything else yet seen, but I think it'd be easy enough to throw together, combining bladed MNK weapons (ex: Adamantite Jamadhars) with something that overwrites arm textures (ex: Fists of the Sephirot), so it's not like they'd have to design a new style of weapon for it to exist on an in-game model.
Well it seems that from the trailer we will get our ass handed to us by Zenos and have to flee to Doma to gather allies and get ourself stronger too. After that we will be back.
I am still not sure if they did not just show too much again because I kinda get the feeling like knowing quite the part of the overall story after seeing that. About that one scene: Yes Y`sthola will probably survive that even though such a slash should have killed her. (But cant have your mascot die right?) Still would have liked it more to have them stopped the scene after we see her looking shocked so we would wonder if the shield broke or not. Kinda took some surprise away imo.
Also kinda interesting that Alisae got hurt too while she has her sword out. Could that happen after she showed of her skills? Kinda like putting her down.
Maybe I am the only one but I found it frustrating to see our character on the ground after Zenos comes in. Are you telling me that our character that slayed primal after primal, even killing Thordan and his knights alone and after defeating Nidhogg (with power up put still) is put down by one single Garlearn? Yes he is the son of the emperor but they cant use magic. Thats is imo the problem if you have a character that slays deity like beings often and if you want him to loose..its kinda unbelievable. Either stop making such huge threats to be put down or stop making the WoL in cutscenes so weak. We should be on another different level than other Scions and characters. I really hope that there is a reason that we have to go otherwise I will just facepalm alot..
I definitely agree with you. From what is being said in Japanese it definitely appears to be Yotsuya speaking then, and presumably they would have the same person speaking at the same time in all languages (but maybe they don't, who knows). I don't think what she is saying is *that* different from the English, in terms of overall meaning at least.
Eh, I'm not to worried. It isn't about the destination, it is about the journey.
I rewatched the HW launch trailer to see how much of that story was revealed... and it was great. Showed just enough without ruining the adventure, despite having lots of information. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TGFZ6RJqTWY
I'm going to just wait and see.
That would be SO COOL if the guildmasters and members of all of the class guilds from the city-states joined the fight!! I would love to fight side-by-side with Wyrnzoen , Hamon, Mylla and the Coco brothers. It would give a true sense of unity among the Alliance.
Back on topic:
I'm also not happy about the whole Y'shtola thing, BUT, we don't know FOR SURE if anything is going to happen to her. We'll just have to wait and see how it plays out.
I also hope that Estinien does appear in SB. That dragoon we see for two seconds is holding Estinien's spear, so it stands to reason it has to be him. HOWEVER, I know we never get to see his face, so we don't know FOR SURE if it's him or not. Again, it's another 'wait and see' situation. Although, doesn't it sounds like Estinien's voice reciting that new poem at the end of the video? What do you guys think??
I'm PROPER PUMPED!!! Is it Friday yet??
